Questions for this shipment:
Question:
I can do this for you but what do you want to pay for this? A 26' U-Haul truck with trailer for your move is about $4200 including the insurance. I can set you up with a truck and we can load it, drive it to the east coast and unload it. Tell me what you think and let's see what can be worked out. Thanks .... (4/15/2006)
Response:
Northern VanLines can do it for that! I can do it myself for $2000, not counting gas. So no thanks. (4/15/2006)
Question:
Wow! I wasn't being rude here. I just happen to know what it costs to rent a 26' U-Haul and trailer as I have 3 U-Haul dealerships. Go to the web site and look up the rates from coast to coast. Sometimes you are miles ahead to have someone like North American move it. Good luck........ (4/15/2006)
Response:
Hi. I apologize. I didn't thing you were being rude. Your's was just the highest bid I've seen. (4/15/2006)
Question:
Hi, my name is Tom, I noticed your question and answer section. You can rent a 16' full box truck from Budget on those dates for $2338 plus tax. a car carrier (all 4 wheels off the ground) to tow behind is $426 plus tax, estimated fuel is $1000, Then hired help would be approximately $600 to load and unload, the driver pay: $1500. That covers lodging and food as well as the driving. Plus plane fare back. Total cost approximately: $6100. If your go with a mixed load, who knows when you'll get your goods. Most carriers will charge a up charge at the other end if the weight isn't correct, and some also charge a fuel surcharge. (4/15/2006)
Response:
No thank you. I'm sorry. That is too expensive. (4/15/2006)
Question:
That's ok, But I wanted to give you some idea, of what your costs would be with a individual, self, so you could compare. Your costs. Also fuel prices or going up so try to lock in a rate asap. Good Luck to you. Tom (4/15/2006)
Question:
Appology accepted! And that wasn't a bid by the way - it was simply the cost of a truck the size you'll need to move your household. Aother guy sent you the cost of a Budget truck which is considerably less but it's a small truck. I priced the big truck to you so your stuff doesn't get piled and crunched. We'd be competitive on a smaller truck but I've found that people regularly underestimate the amount of space they need to transport things. Ayway, you've got a bid of $2500 and if somebody will do this move, provide the truck, pay the fuel, drive 3000 miles and unload it for $2500 you out to grab it. Be sure they have insurance and experience and that you have a way to track them when they drive away with all of your possessons. Best of luck to you. (4/15/2006)
Question:
Let's make this simple. What is your budget for moving? Let me know . Thank you. (4/18/2006)
