Question: A word of advice shipper, Uship will not advise you that some of these transporters are illegal. They are not showing their D.O.T. authority and if they don't have these permits and commercial insurance than you risk impounding the item they are transporting. If they are pulled over or involved in an accident, and your item is damage the driver 50% of the time will go bye bye. The gentleman who just got his boat out of the impound yard in Denver can give you a perfect exsample of hireing somebody with no dot authority. Just ask and demand that he faxes or email a copy of the legal permits and commercial insurance. Goodluck and soon these illegals will be off this site. THE POLICEMAN (10/25/2006)
