Household & Office Moves Shipment Information
  • Split and move a 28x70 double wide
  • Total Number of Items: 1
  • Total Weight:20000 lbs
  • Palletized:No
  • Crated:No
  • Stackable:No
  • Item #1
  • Description: Split and move a 1988 Commodore Comet 28x70 double wide off of the pier foundation onto a basement
  • Dimensions: L: 70 ft 0 in  W: 28 ft 0 in  H: 13 ft 0 in
  • Weight: 20000 lbs
Additional Information: I would like the double wide moved off its piers and then moved onto a new full basement foundation at the same location, no over the road travel. I can do all of the utility work and move the deck. If someone can lift and move the house as a single unit that would be great as well. Report a Violation

Questions for this shipment:

Question: While not impossible it is alot easier to split in half to put on foundation. Is the foundation going to be directly in front or back of present location? (2/21/2009)
Response: Most likely the foundation is going to be where the home currently sits. It would have to sit off to the side for a while when the foundation was being installed. (2/21/2009)
Question: I have a different approach to your job that could save you thousands of dollars and do it in less time and with less mess. Do you have the foundation guy set up yet. (2/25/2009)
Response: We have recieved a foundation quote, I have also talked with a few people about lifting the house. At this point it might be cost prohibitive. (2/26/2009)
Response: that was my thought lift both sections with I-beams, jacks and blocks then dig out what you need underneath with a crawler dozer or a skidsteer.then form and pour. (2/26/2009)
Response: From what I've found that ends up being more expensive than spliting it. (2/26/2009)
