Questions for this shipment:

Question: can take this down for 1000 on my trailer should i bid (12/12/2007)
Response: Your price is slightly higher than my target, but yes you can bid. (12/13/2007)
Response: would you be able to get a broker it will make it easier for all of us that way he takes care of everything (12/14/2007)
Response: There is a delay in the completion of the boat. At best the boat will be ready for shipment on december the 28 or 29. There is still a possibility of an additional week of delay meaning that the shipment date could be as late as January 4. If you maintain the three days delivery time, the boat could still be delivered on time. Do you maintain your bid with this new schedule? (12/15/2007)
Response: i wont be able to give you an awnser untill the 21 (12/15/2007)
Response: We are having problems to get the boat finished - pieces of hardware are missing and because of the season they are very difficult to get. Most of January I will be attending Boat Shows, so delivery is postponed towards the end of January early February. I will modified my request for bid accordingly. Hope your bid will follow. Regards and Seasons Greetings Louis Ducharme (12/20/2007)
Response: can do on enclosed trailer for 1100 picked up at your door for 1150pick up feb 2 should i bis need to know asap (1/25/2008)
Response: The Montreal Boat Show ends on Monday the 28; we have to repaint the boat because of bruises made during a recent transport; to give time to the new paint to cure, at the earliest the boat will be ready for shipping to Naples on February 8 or 9. Thanks for the interest; Regards, Louis Ducharme (1/26/2008)
Response: do your painting request bid when you are ready make sure you take your time and make sure paint is cured i should be able to accomidate you based in totonto go to florida once a month try to get it don by the 15 would like to be there for bike week and daytonia 500 just kidding bur will be nice take your time i understand (1/26/2008)
Question: Hi! Check Out My Feedback By Clicking On My Name! Can You Meet Me At USA Border With This? Please Let Me Know Right Away So I Can Submit My Low Bid For You! Thanks! Dave (12/21/2007)
Response: I will be happy to see your quote and yes I could meet you at the Canada/USA border in Champlain or Rouse Point, North of New York. However there has been a delay in the completion of the boat to be delivered to Naples, Florida. Some components are missing and delivery of same seems a problem at this period. I will be away attending boat shows for all January, so delivery is postponed to the end of January or early February. I will change my listing accordingly today. Thanks for your interest and hope you quote on the modified shipment dates. Regards, Louis Ducharme (12/22/2007)
Response: Louis! Thanks For Your Quick Reply! If You Book Now I Can Tow Your Legal,Licensed,Insured,Roadworthy Trailer With Boat For $799 Cash Up Front! Please Let Me Know Right Away If This Works For You And I'll Submit A Bid So I Can Schedule You And Plan My Trip! Thanks! Dave (1/2/2008)
Response: Dave, On these terms, I will be pleased to accept your bid. The trailer is new and originaly built in USA (Venture Trailer); As regards the license, base on past experience, the trailer will have a temporary license issued by the distributor, this should be good until the client licensed the trailer in Florida; I will get confirmation that this is legal. As regards insurance,I will have to get a confirmation from the client ; I do not expect this to be a problem. The Montreal Boat Show ends on January the 28; In theory the boat is available for shipment starting the 29, however I would appreciate to have a couple of days to complete the paper work with the custom; so a pick up date on February 1 or after would be fine with me. Happy New Year, Louis (1/2/2008)
Response: Louis! Thanks For Your Reply! I Have Submitted A Bid For You! Please Read Carefully And Then Accept Right Away So I Can Schedule You And Plan My Trip! Thanks! Dave (1/2/2008)
Response: Dave, Thank you for the bid; however pre-payment by money transfer is not acceptable to me; I would agree to an up front payment when meeting with you with the trailer and the boat in Champlain, NY. Hope this is acceptable to you. Regards, Louis (1/2/2008)
Response: Louis! Thanks For Your Quick Reply! I Manage To Keep My Rates So Low By Always Getting Paid Before I Drive And Scheduling My Trips In Advance! Pickup Point A Good Days Drive From Me Here In Ohio! Can You Meet Me In Detroit Instead? Please Let Me Know! Thanks! Dave (1/2/2008)
Response: I am back to my computer only for a few moment; I am leaving for Cape Breton this evening. I have a certain number of questions (licensing, insurance, etc) to answer before being able to advance any money on the shipment; I will be in a position to resolve these questions only early next week when I will be back to my office. Hope you can wait until then. Regards, Louis (1/2/2008)
Question: What is the width from outside of tires and the total lenght with trailer???? walbert52 (12/22/2007)
Response: The trailer is a Venture VB700 (web address:http://www.venturetrailers.com/single_ab.html); the overall width is 54"; the lenght is not mentioned but should be in the vicinity of 15'. (12/22/2007)
Response: Can we meet at the border in Buffalo, NY??? (12/22/2007)
Response: No, sorry to far away from Montreal. (12/22/2007)
Response: OK Thanks (1/25/2008)
Question: I'll sent you a bib ...I'm insured as well with Lloyds of London for 50k and have a 100% feedback.... Thanks Happy Holidays walbert52 (12/22/2007)
Response: Thank you for the bid; however it quite a bit more expensive than what my client is ready to pay; Please note that I changed the shipment dates: the boat will be available for shipment on January 29 only. Happy Holydays! Louis Ducharme (12/22/2007)
Response: Where can we meet and how long it the tube the mast is in... (12/22/2007)
Response: If we ever agree on the terms, we could meet at the border Champlain / Lacolle up North/East New York state on the US side. It is a gaff rig with the mast being 14 feet. (12/22/2007)
Response: That is over 1600 miles which I don't have a problem with, it's the bid I think that is a fair bid It's 75 cents amile and the going rate is a dollar a mile Let me know Thanks Happy Hoidays walbert52 (12/22/2007)
Question: You meet me at the alex bay american side i would do it for 900.00 american cash upon delivery before its unhooked but i would have to do it next week i see you cant have it rdy till the 29th better hurry for this deal. Thanks (1/1/2008)
Response: Thank for your interest in my shipment; however the boat will not be available for shipment before January 29; I will be using it in Boat Shows until that date. If a delivery date starting on January 29 suits you, I will certainly consider your offer; Could you be more specific about Alex Bay? Where this place is located? Regards, Louis Ducharme (1/1/2008)
Response: Can only help you on those dates so good luck. Alex bay route 81 out of NY into canada (Thousand Islands).OK take care and good luck with your shipment. (1/1/2008)
Response: Could be on a future shipment; I assume from the information provided that Alex Bay is Alexandria Bay. If so you are at 190 miles from my place. It would have been doable. (1/1/2008)
Response: Yes your right sorry it couldnt work and good luck with your shipment. Thanks Tom (1/1/2008)
Question: Good evening and happy New Year. I am working the Atlanta boat show for Cobalt until about the 13th of January. After that I would love to help you with your shipment. I would meet you at Alexandria Bay, New York and transport to Florida from there. I have taken boats up there before and am familiar with the territory. Keep in mind that the distance from there to Naples is over 1500 miles. I am working on getting a boat to take up that way which would make your transport less expensive (I live in Atlanta) but the best price I could do would be .80 per mile (USD). If that is something you would consider working with, please feel free to let me know and I will place a bid accordingly. Thank you, Steve (1/1/2008)
Response: Steve, Thanks for your interest in my shipment; however Alexandria Bay is about 200 miles from my location near Montreal, Quebec; if your price was close to my targey I wouldn't mind making it to Alexandria Bay; I do understand your cost structure but the value of the boat with the trailer is about 7,000$, it is difficult for me to justify to the client a transportation cost in excess of 1,000$. I still hope that some one has a cost structure which can accomodate my target price; it is probably feasible only by coupling another shipment with mine. Happy new year, Louis Ducharme (1/2/2008)
Response: Good morning Louis. I an still interested in bringing your boat down for you. Please let me know what the best is you can do from Alexandria Bay. Steve (1/17/2008)
Response: Hi Steve, I presently have an opportunity for a transport from Champlain, NY, which is quite closer from my base than Alexandria. However the transporter has date constrains that I am unsured I can meet; I should know shortly; I will keep you informed. Thanks for your continued interest in my shipment. Louis Ducharme (1/17/2008)
Response: Louis, I can do Champlain as well. Let me now what you think would be a fair price and we can take it from there. Steve (1/17/2008)
Question: Hi,Bonjour, If we can pick up in Champlain NY (border)on the 29th we can do it for you at your price. Will be in Burlington VT 28th. Le trailler a une plaque en vigeur? Merci. (1/16/2008)
Response: Hi Henri and Joanne, It is potentially workable but very tight in time. I am attending the Montreal Boat Show with the boat; the show ends on the 28; there will be a touch up job to do on the boat before shipping; may take a couple of days to dry. Until which date can you wait for the boat? I could deliver it either in Champlai or Burlington. Regards, Louis Ducharme (1/16/2008)
Response: Louis le plus tard posible est tard le 30 au soir ou de bonne heure le 31 nous devons etre deretour a Hollywood FL pour la matine du 02/02. the lates we could do this is late nite 0n the 30th or very early on the 31st we need to be back in Hollywood FL by 02/02. But for this we would need to know asap to modify the other shipments. As for pick up Champlain would be ok. Thank you Merci (1/16/2008)
To avoid conflicts wiht my other no-Uship client we would ask if possible for you to get back to us by Friday this would greatly appriciated. Thank you. (1/17/2008)
Response: I will do my best to give you an answer by the 19. Thank you, Louis Ducharme (1/17/2008)
Response: When it's ready check back and we can see if we can do it for you. Good luck at the show. (1/20/2008)
Question: I live near Burlington, and can easily work with your dates. I can pick it up in Quebec. Are you buying a new trailer? I can bid less if it travels on my trailer, and then you buy one in FL. I already have a special trailer made to carry 3 Lasers. I can also bid less if you meet me in Palm Beach any day From Feb 8-10. (1/18/2008)
Response: Thank you for your offer; I will certainly consider; small repairs have to be made to the boat after the Montreal Boat Show; will advise as soon as I know the date the boat will be available for shipping. The trailer has already been bought; its a small Venture 700. What would be your suggested strategy to protect the boat against dirt and road hazards on your way to Florida? Regards, Louis Ducharme (1/18/2008)
Response: What are the actual dimensions for the hull only, because maybe I can fit it inside my van. The 6' width doesn't sound right? (1/24/2008)
Response: The dimension of the width of both the boat and the trailer is 5 feet; if the boat fit into your van, what about the trailer? Could it be trailed behind or put on top? This trailer is very light (Venture VB700). To carry the boat in a protected enclosure would be a great plus. Regards, Louis ducharme (1/25/2008)
Response: This won't fit inside, so I bid the Palm Beach option, on the top of my triple trailer, 4-5 feet off the ground, and behind the van, which is much nicer than on your low trailer. There will be two lasers under it, blocking any debris from below. Two straps over the top, nice pads on the rails. I'm very flexible on pick-up, location, timing, etc. if before the 6th. I can rebid a Naples option, but you can guess the difference. Naples delivery would be the 11th. (1/27/2008)
Response: Sounds OK for the boat; what about the trailer that has to be delivered at the same time? (1/28/2008)
Response: I'll trailer the boat and trailer to my shop in VT, near Stowe, then I'll put the trailer inside or on the roof. Then put it and boat together in Palm Beach. (1/28/2008)
Response: If you are flexible as regards the final destination (either Vero Beach or Naples)and assuming Vero Beach would be 700$ and Naples would be 800$, I will accept your bid. I will bring the boat either at the border or directly at your shop in Stowe. Please confirm. Regards, Louis Ducharme P.s.: I have to leave for the rest of the day; I will be back in the evening. (1/28/2008)
Response: Sounds good (1/28/2008)
Question: Are you going to have it srink wrapped???? (1/24/2008)
Response: Because of the new paint on it, the boat cannot be shrink wrap; in a previous transport I created some bruises on the hull with the boat cover flapping in the wind; I still have to decide how to protect the hull, I am inclined to look into an enclosed transportation mean. I will keep you posted on the development in this regard. Louis Ducharme (1/25/2008)
Response: OK Thanks (1/25/2008)
Question: Pick up in Champlain/ Lacolle, NY correct? Deliver it to Naples, FL correct? That's 1625 miles x .80 cents a mile = 1300 COD If that is OK I'll send a bid. Thanks walbert52 (1/24/2008)
Response: I am not prepared to accept such a quote at this time. (1/25/2008)
Response: OK Thanks (1/25/2008)
Question: Boujour Louis, we may have a run to maine week of the 14th if it sounds good get back to me. Merci (1/27/2008)
Question: I guess this bid expired. Did you have a question, or want me to rebid it differently? I was ok with your proposal? (1/30/2008)
Response: Sorry I didn't intend to let it expire; I am waiting for the ballpark budget for the paint repair to be done in Vero Beach; I should get it soon I hope. If the price proposed is out of line, I may have to find another builder to do the job; from the conversation I had, it looked promising. You can rebid on the terms aggreed. Regards, Louis Ducharme (1/30/2008)
Response: I have rebid, but I'm looking at other loads as well to pay for gas. My dates are firm, as I'm going to FL to race, but I can be flexible on the drop off location. I assume you need boat show quality. After you accept, we can exchange phone and email. Maybe I can help you find a good prep/paint shop, as I have lots of contacts in FL. (1/30/2008)
Response: I called the builder; left a message on the answering machine. I guess with your contacts, the job will get done; how long do you stay in Florida? could you take the boat from the repair shop to Naples after the paint job? (1/30/2008)
