Questions for this shipment:

Question: Short notice,,short time frame,,,in LA today and Mon morning,,I live in Iowa City,,,will be back in Cedar Rapids area 12/13,,I'm loading Cudahy and Seal Beach on sunday 25th,,loading antiques on mon AM could load yours Mon mid AM/noonish,,,Your $ amount is a bit shy of my needed rate,,,normal would be $800,,,since going near home would do $650.00,,,if interested talk to Angi,,,,,could also load on 2nd Mar, but would have to move shippment around to unload other shipments, 3Mar load would have to be full $800,,,Larrbo (2/25/2007)
Response: hi Larry, thanks for getting back to me. it's sun night and i just got back in from out of town. tomorrow isn't going to work since I haven't completed packing. if i cut down the number of boxes and had things ready for the 2nd, would you be able to cut down the cost (fr $800)? i am going to start packing my things this wk and i will have a better idea of how many boxes i'll actually have. in your ? you mention that you're not back in CR until 12/13 (is that date correct?) (2/25/2007)
Question: hi there. i will be home in iowa city the 12th and 13th of March...sorry, i wasn't totally clear on that date! the problem with the price isn't the size of your load but the labor it will take to get it loaded on that later date. because we will already have a shipment on and will have to move it completely out of the way to put yours on. we'll keep in touch to see if you don't have another taker! thanks! (2/26/2007)
Response: thanks again for your bid, the price is right but I would love to talk to you or angie before i accept the bid. the dates are perfect and the CR arrival date works out fine for me too. i will just take the things that i need w/me on the plane. my ?'s are regarding my furniture pcs. do i have to do something to them to get them ready for the move? please call me at your earliest convenience so we can discuss. (2/26/2007)
Question: ufortunately due to uship rules i'm not allowed to talk directly to you until the bid is accepted. in regards to the ? of what you have to do to the furniture before shipping is nothing. we have heavy duty furniture pads that we will wrap everything in to protect it during the move. everything will be secured tight and safe! now, will there be anyone there to help load everything? will you be in california at loading? let us know what you think! thanks, angi (2/26/2007)
Response: you're fast! i will be there on pick up date and my boxes and rubbermaid tubs will be packed. the only concern i had was mainly for my furniture pcs. i also forgot to ask about the items that are odd shaped (snowboard and keyboard) do i need to put those in boxes? lastly, i think i may need to bring my tv now....do i have to do anything to that? can some of my items be put onto a pallet to make this easier for you? (2/26/2007)
Question: i live for my computer! we had ice storms this weekend and my internet was out for 2 and a half days....I was in serious withdrawl! so when i hear an email ding i run for it! lol! anyhoo...the odd shaped peices aren't a problem. Larry is an expert packer and he will make everything fit like it's supposed to be there! no need to box or pallet the big stuff, it's easier with them lose. the TV will be pad wrapped like the furniture so it will be in one peice when you get there! thanks! (2/26/2007)
Response: i heard about the ice storms! my fiancee kept sending me pix of the ice all over his car...i have to admit that is one thing I'm NOT looking forward to....the sun is shining here in So. Cal. I'm waiting for me fiancee' to get back to me on accepting the bid and he's in a mtg until 3pm (your time). I will definitely let you and Larry know by end of day today if I'm accepting the bid. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! (2/26/2007)
Question: sounds good then! I'll talk to you then! enjoy the sunshine while you can! (2/26/2007)
Response: Angie, i'm sorry i didn't get to you yesterday. My fiancee was so busy w/his work and didnt' get back to me until late....then my internet was down to give you an update. I know the bid expired today but I just wanted to say thanks for trying to help me out. (2/28/2007)
Question: no problem! good luck with your move! (2/28/2007)
Response: angie, is there anyway to open this bid up again? I know you've already done so much to help me....my fiancee' is telling me to use uship now to get my things out...(we've had major discussions on this - he was concerned on w/uship but then someone else told him its a good resource to use) pls. let me know as i would like to get my things out. (2/28/2007)
Question: hi! i think we can still get you taken care of! let me double check with Larry (he's going to call me back here in a few) and then I'll pop back on and rebid. your concern is the dates, right? we can take care of that for you! i'll bb in a minute! angi (2/28/2007)
Response: hi angie, thanks again for dbl checking w/larry. yes, it's the date of pick up that i'm concerned w/the most. i just need to get my stuff out of here before i leave. if you guys could still do it for $700 and pick up on the 2nd, that would be perfect. please keep me posted w/what larry says. (2/28/2007)
Question: i just rebid for you! everything should be pretty straight forward. will it just be you at pickup? larry is by himself in the truck so the more the merrier at loading! lol! let us know! thanks so much! (2/28/2007)
Response: what days is he coming? i want to make sure everything is all set. i will have everything ready....i will try to recruit ppl too. thank you (2/28/2007)
Question: you tell me what day you want him there. he is literally sitting still w/ nowhere to go! if you won't be ready til friday then that's fine, but tomrrow is just as good for us! you tell me! (2/28/2007)
Response: let's say fri. midmorning/lunchtime is good. i will have everything packed by then. I hope i can rally some ppl to load the truck w/me (& Larry) of course. thanks agaiin angie!!! (2/28/2007)
Question: not a problem at all! just go ahead and accept the bid and we'll get to you friday am! (2/28/2007)
Response: accepted the bid....talked to Larry and we're all set. I'll see him on Fri morning. Thank you sooo much Angie for everything! (2/28/2007)
