Questions for this shipment: 

Question: Hi, I transport with a 2005 Imperial single car hauler pulled by a 2003 Dodge Dually Diesel. I haul for Acura and Porshe Dealers in the Fl panhandle and Alabama & have excellent ref. I have $75,000 worth of coverage for my cargo included in price for no additional charge. My rig will easily pull your tractor. My rates are 90 cents per mile. Response: Hello...we just raised the maximum bid price from $400 to $475. This is as high as we can go since the customer has already paid for delivery and this was what he paid. This comes out to $0.85 per mile. Thanks for your interest. (4/14/2006)

Response: That rate on this run would be $500. Go ahead and bid $500 and give me a couple days before your bid expires. If nothing comes up tomorrow we'll probably accept your bid. We can come out of pocket the extra $25 in this particular case just to get the customer his tractor quickly. Thanks. (4/14/2006)
Question: I'm sorry maybe we had some miss commucation. I can't do this run for that price. The lowest we can do it is for $990.00 for the trip. I am sorry about the miss understanding. I understand you have have a budget to stick to. But if something changes we can do it as soon as you want it done. Thanks for responding back to me, again I am sorry about the mis commucation. Response: Hi Randy...you stated in your previous communication that your rate is $0.90 per mile. This run from Mesquite, TX to Pass Christian, MS is only 565 miles. At your rate that comes out to $500. You must've made a mistake and quoted me based on roundtrip miles. In the shipping business the customer only pays one-way, never roundtrip. I'm sure it's just a miscommunication. If not, and you are somehow managing to get customers to pay roundtrip miles then please tell me how you do this as I would like to get in on some of that action. Question: We typically only haul for new car dealers and they do pay us both ways. I am sorry for the confusion. Please don't think we're being rude that's just the way we have worked for years. We still have to make the drive for the customer to do the run for them. For your run we would be driving 665 miles to you. So we couldn't eat that much mileage, not in these days with these fuel prices. I'm sure you'll find someone in your area for your shipment. Sorry to waste your time.
