Additional Information: This is a small shipment--it's just some random household items that need to get home. Photo shows everything (large suitcase is in back right corner). Basically there is the oak plank that can be put flat on the ground or can stand upright (as in photo), two saw horses, two stackable chairs, 3 boxes with books/paperwork (see front of picture), one small suitcase and one large suitcase. The random bags seen in the photo will be consolidated into either the boxes or the suitcase. I am in NYC only through Tuesday 8 Sept (maybe Wed 9 Sept) and would really like to get these items loaded before I leave. The delivery date is flexible. I just want to be able to move out of this storage unit (where the items are located). It's an easy load and I can be flexible. Please let me know if you need more info as I really want to get this on its way while I am still in town. Thanks for looking and hope someone can help!! Report a Violation

Questions for this shipment:

Question: will be in jersey 8th and 9th. whats your budget. could you meet me in jersey. i know the costs to go in ny with big truck. can deliver around the 18th. my actual trip starts on 18th but my regular job has me in jersey those dates. let me know i have 15 foot box truck should be empty those days when i pickup or meet you (9/4/2009)
Response: Thanks so much for your response. Unfortunately, I don't have any transportation so I am not able to meet you in NJ. Would you consider coming into NYC? The items are located at a Manhattan Mini Storage unit that is located directly off the FDR. Besides the oak plank, the shipment is really small (just some clothes and books) so I was aiming for around $200 for my budget. Let me know what you think and maybe we can work something out. Thanks again and look forward to hearing from you. (9/5/2009)
Response: i did not get the one with the tolls (9/5/2009)
Response: I'm not sure why that message didn't got through. It might have had something to do with the fact that I sent a web link (not sure if that's allowed or not). So instead of sending the link about the tolls again, why don't you just google 'port authority toll charges'. THen click on the first option which is: The Port Authority of NY and NJ - Tunnels. It shows a chart of toll charges for the Holland Tunnel based on how many axles your truck has. The Holland Tunnel would be very easy for you if coming from NJ. As I said before, the tunnel is at the southern end of Manhattan and so is the storage unit, so it is very easy to get to. There should not be much traffic around that area. If you are using a GPS or have google map directions, you should be able to find it pretty easily. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone with a truck to get the stuff to NJ. Why don't you look at the toll prices and let me know what you think. Also, Tues am is best for me. Is this possible? Or could you do Monday? (9/5/2009)
Response: if you can do $325 i can do tuesday afternoon or wednesday afternoon. or wednesday late morning. let me know i'll place the bid. whats the toll cost over to ny and back threw holland tunnel (9/5/2009)
Response: Let me check on my Tuesday flight times and I'll get back to you during the day on Sunday. I can't tell you the exact toll costs because I don't know what type of truck you have. You will need to look up the information online with the directions I sent you in the last message. It's really easy and the chart tells you exactly what the toll charges are based on the size of your truck. (9/5/2009)
Question: can you manage $400. i know it's not cheap getting trucks in newyork city. i run in jersey and the costs in there isn't cheap. i will be in nutley wednesday. don't know what part of jersey i am in yet on tuesday but i can find out. i would need to know what brdige i could take in for a 15 foot box truck and whats the cost to get into newyork city. (9/5/2009)
Response: Hi Kevin, Thanks for your response. I could probably manage $300 but not sure if I could do more because I have a lot of other moving costs. Is there any way that can work together at this cost? As far as I know, besides the toll to get into NYC, there aren't any other charges. Also, I do not drive around here so I don't know the exact bridge...what about the Holland Tunnel if you are coming from NJ? Is it possible for you to find out what the best route is for you? The exact address to the Manhattan Mini Storage is: 220 South Street NY, NY 10002. Also, Tuesday would work best for me and sounds like it might work for you too. The storage is open from 7am-10pm and I could meet you anytime. I hope we can work this out together. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks! (9/5/2009)
Response: is there a toll charge going into newyork and out. i know jersey has them coming out of jersey into pa. i think the holland tunnel is no trucks but i can ask my regular boss at my job he knows newyork. let me get back to you later tonight. can you manage $325 (9/5/2009)
Response: Kevin: Here's the toll listing for the port authority: http://www.panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/bridges/html/tolls.html All the info is there for bridges and tunnels. It looks like trucks can go through the Holland Tunnel and that would be easiest for you because that would put you into Manhattan at the southern tip which is very close to the Manhattan Mini Storage unit. you can do a google map to see the exact location. I'm sure your boss could advise you as to the best route. I could do $325 and that would be great if we could plan on making this happen. I'll be around all night so look forward to your message. And let me know if we could do Tuesday too. Thank you! (9/5/2009)
Response: ok i was told traffic is a mightmare. tolls are very high. so i am stuck to what to do. i have a truck and he said roads are narrow. now where do we stand. i dont want to come over in newyork and i have 2 hours of sitting in traffic. would like the job but i need some help here. do you know someone with pickup truck that could meet me. any help would help (9/5/2009)
Response: Can you let me know if you got my last response with the website with the toll prices for the holland tunnel? I don't see the response posted and haven't been able to figure out how to contact you otherwise. Just testing the system right now to make sure you are getting my emails. Then will write again once I hear back from you. Thanks! (9/5/2009)
Response: i'll try and look. but if u get a chance it's a 15 foot box truck. 10,000 gvw. 2 axle. not a big truck. (9/6/2009)
