Response: with 2" of packing materials on all sides UPS would be about $90 per chair. If you had someone professionally package them expect another $40-$70 per chair. You could also look into Greyhound freight, if you packed them both into one box, they would probably be under $100 for the pair and they are much more gentle than UPS. (7/2/2009)

Response: It is what we do. It's just that most people don't understand what is involved and how freight minimums work. I could pickup, pack and ship a sofa to you for about what it would cost for those 2 little stools. UPS would get the job done but they are rough, leggy furniture like that almost needs to be crated. I may have a simple shaker style sofa table (48" X 18" X 26" high) and corner table (30" X 30" X 24" high)to pick up. If you are going through do you have an idea of how much more it might cost?
