Moving from retirement community in Lady Lake, Florida to apartment complex in Columbia, Maryland. There are quite a few steps at apartment complex to get to the building.

Additional Information: I now have a picture of the piece and can send it when requested.

Response: Our range is between $300-$400. My sister had had a larger shipment (dining room table, 6 chairs and a few boxes) moved from there to Catonsville, Maryland (which is about 20 minutes north of where I am) for around $500. (1/15/2007)

Question: You stated there are steps to the building - is there an elevator inside? I will be in the Ocala area Monday the 22nd and leaving for deliveries to the North. I will be a few days, but could deliver for you the following weekend the 27th or 28th. Am insured for household goods. Price would be $325.00. Will need to know ASAP. (1/19/2007)

Response: Unfortunatley, there are no elevators. The apartment complex I live in, my building is in like a courtyard with long steps through the courtyard and up to the building, it is not a highrise apartment. Once you go up the initial steps to my building, my apartment door is directly in front of the steps. The location the piece is coming from has about 5 steps in front of the door and is a modular home in a retirement community. (1/19/2007)

Question: Can a semi-tractor trailer fit in both locations? If so, we can make a formal bid. (1/19/2007)

Response: The semi-tractor should fit along the street in front of the modular home to pick up, but would need to check with Water Oak, the retirement community to make sure it would be allowed in the gated community. It would also fit along the front street of the apartment complex for delivery. (1/19/2007)

Response: Just a few question. What would be included? The piece has glass on the one door and there are 4 boxes of dishes. Do you have precautions for glass front? It's not an antique, but has sentimental value, so do insurances carried? Also, it's not too large of a piece coming from my grandfather who would be unable to assist, so how many people on the job, will pickup and delivery be from door to door? Also, do you need the whole amount up front or half when contracted and the rest on completion of the job? And finally, how long do they estimate delivery to be? (1/31/2007)
