Questions for this shipment:

Question: I will take it for your price pending acceptance of another bid. (11/4/2009)
Response: Please let me know if you get the other bid you are looking for and are interested in making the trip with the puppy. Thanks so much! (11/5/2009)
Response: Is the puppy house broken? (11/7/2009)
Response: No, she is only 8 weeks old right now so she is not potty trained yet. She will be transported in a crate. If you have any other questions, please feel free to let me know. Thank you. (11/7/2009)
Question: I CAN DO THIS FOR 300.00 THANKS TOM (11/5/2009)
Response: Thank you for your bid but it is out of my price range. (11/5/2009)
Question: Hi, thank you for your interest in our services and for requesting our bid. Unfortunately we can not even come close to your budget price for this trip. PLEASE do check feedback on any provider (check provider page) offering services and make sure they are qualified to care for a puppy to insure your pup arrives safely. Good luck and safe travels for this little one (11/6/2009)
Question: Hi, I have vast experience with puppies and was wondering what timeframe this little one needs to be picked up. References available upon request. (11/7/2009)
Response: I am flexible on the timeframe, what are you thinking? (11/7/2009)
Response: I'm trying to line one up the 14th? (11/7/2009)
Response: That should work. Would you be coming the same way for the other one as well? If it works out, the rescue facility will want to talk with you beforehand. Are you okay with that? (11/7/2009)
Question: How soon would the dog be ready to go? (11/8/2009)
Response: My understanding is that she is ready to go whenever I find transport. (11/8/2009)
Question: the offer would be $100. However, the trip would entail two nights in Pittsburgh and Charlottesville respectively, with an appointment being made on the 3rd day to reconnoiter with the recipient in the Richmond area (about an 80 mile trip away). Otherwise we are dealing with an arrival at the wee hours of the night. I would need to know what hours the pick-up may occur in Toledo since I will be coming from Wisconsin. (11/8/2009)
Response: I will contact the lady at the rescue facility and see if I can just have you call her. Also, I don't know what time you were planning to get to Charlottesville, Virginia but I could meet you there. It is only an hour from us. What do you think? (11/8/2009)
Question: i would deliver to chesterfield, but certainly wouldn't mind at all if you saved mr the trip (11/8/2009)
Response: Yes, we could meet you in Charlottesville. Do you have certain dates in mind? (11/8/2009)
Question: I am about to go to Virginia but consider that I am 600 miles away from you. I will let you know within 3 days of arrival. However, when you receive my offer I need a quick acknowledgment of it. I do not have internet access in my wallet and need to check periodically at the library. If you are uninterested, I would change my route to save fuel and time. (11/10/2009)
Response: I appreciate your offer but I spoke to the rescue facility today and they do not want the puppy traveling that long. I told them you were planning to spend two nights on the way here in hotels and they did not feel comfortable with that. They said from Delta, Ohio to me is a 10 hour drive and the most they could allow would be 20 hours. They said with a puppy so young it can cause stress, diarhhea and other problems. I am starting to think this may just be too complicated. (11/10/2009)
Question: Interesting perspective. What speed do they drive? I merely imagined that shorter broken up trips would reduce the stress and I drive no faster than the speed limit. Perhaps one of them can start at an early hour and deliver the dog to you. Good luck. (11/11/2009)
Response: Believe me, I am just as frustrated. I really wanted to rescue this puppy but it just isn't working out. I really appreciate your offer and your time. Have a safe trip! (11/11/2009)
Question: Here is the deal: I don't like long drives, esp. if I can spend the night on the way. I have friends near Pittsburgh and, in my experience, it would be evening before I arrived there from the Toledo area. We have a family estate in Covesville - 17 miles south from Charlottesville. That is my destination. I don't know where you saw a mention of a hotel (most don't allow pets). If you want to pick up the puppy in Covesville or Charlottesville, I would charge $75, which means $55 for me. If you want me to bring it to Richmond, then it would be $100. It is a small dog and even with the kennel should fit on the front passenger seat. From what I see so far, that seems like a generous offer (and I do know this breed as a friend of mine in Austin, Texas has two). (11/11/2009)
Response: I need some clarification. Are you saying you would get the puppy from Ohio then drive to Pittsburgh and spend the night with friends. The next day you would drive to Charlottesville and meet me there? When are you looking to leave? I am asking these questions so I can see if the rescue facility will consider this and I want to have my details straight. Your offer is very generous and I really appreciate it. Thanks! (11/11/2009)
Question: I can take your puppy with me for $150 on an airline from Detroit Metro airport to Richmond airport. Would it be possible for the rescue to meet me somewhere between Delta, Oh. and Romulus Mi.? He would fly in a carrier onboard with me & be in Virginia in less than 2 hours. Thanks, Bruce (11/12/2009)
Response: Are you a pet transporter? Where would the rescue people meet you? When are you planning a trip to Virginia? (11/13/2009)
Response: I could meet the rescue people at an exit along I-75 near Luna Pier north of Toledo. I just transported a cat from St.Louis to a rescue in Michigan. I do what I can to help. I'm open for the next 7 days. (11/13/2009)
Response: Thank you so much for your offer. We have decided not to adopt this puppy. The rescue facility was able to find a good home for her nearby and it will help her not to travel. (11/19/2009)
Response: Thanks for the response. Glad to hear she's doing ok. (11/19/2009)
Question: Let me clarify first that I would probably start out in the day from the Chicago area, making it to Toledo by early or mid-afternoon. We would also need to find out whether it is possible to get the puppy on a weekend or not (It is possible though not yet certain I will travel this weekend, but then we could work on another date as I often travel to Covesville). I would be stopping in Falls Church, Va. for about an hour or two and then heading to Charlottesville up Rt. 29 though from there I could also go to Richmond. James (11/12/2009)
Response: So you are not spending the night anywhere? (11/12/2009)
Response: Plans remain the same : spend the night in the Pittsburgh area. I would not contemplate arriving at 4 or 5 AM, especially with deer on the road. (11/13/2009)
Response: I want to thank you so much for all of your effort in getting this puppy to us. We have decided not to adopt the puppy. It was becoming too complicated and the rescue facility has been able to find a home for her nearby so she won't have to travel. I think it worked out in everyone's best interest. Thank you again! (11/19/2009)
Response: Ooh! What alot of correspondence we have had! The saga is over at least. I have been in Covesville and my cousins from Midlothian are visiting today. It would have worked out one way or another, but I hope the dog is happy. (11/19/2009)
Response: I wish it had worked out but the rescue facility was so concerned about the puppy traveling for such a long period of time and said it can cause a lot of stress on a young puppy. So, when they told me someone nearby wanted to adopt her, I figured maybe it's for the best. (Even though I really wanted her:-( Thank you for all of your offers to help. Hope you have safe travels! (11/19/2009)
