Questions for this shipment: Ask a Question

Question: SHIPPER WILL THIS BE ON A TRAILER (11/5/2009)
Response: Hello, I do not have a trailer for the boat. (11/5/2009)
Response: NO WE MUST LEAVE SEATTLE NO LATER THAN NOV 8TH PM SORRY MAYBE NEXT TIME THANKS DISPATCHER RICHARD RVTS (11/5/2009)
Question: Shipper, when would you like this to move? Please see our profile and give us a time frame so we can make a bid. Thanks Ron (11/5/2009)
Response: Hello, I would like the boat to be shipped around second half of November or early December. (11/5/2009)
Response: That would work for us. Your boat requires wide load permits for each state. We could do this for 2800. I think you will find most bids you receive will be in this range from legal Dot & Mc transporters. (11/5/2009)
Response: Thank you. I will contact you when I know more of my schedules, etc. (11/5/2009)
Question: Shipper, Uship has good info on here, go to bottom of this page to catogories and click on boat transport then scroll down to choosing a boat carrier, this might help you in selecting a legal, properly insured boat transporter as uship recommends. (11/5/2009)
Response: Hello, I did not understand your question. (11/5/2009)
Response: Uship has info on this site for boat shippers. It tells you what you should look for in the transporter you choose so that you know that they are in compliance with all State, Local and Federal Laws in the transportation of interstate shipments. (11/5/2009)
Question: WE HAVE A TRUCK AVAILABLE LATE NEXT WEEK,LET ME KNOW IF WE CAN HELP.THANKS (11/12/2009)
Question: I will have a tractor-trailer in Seattle the 1st week of December. Can the boat be shipped at that time? We will need a lift on both ends to facilitate the loading and unloading of the boat. Is that possible? Thanks. Allison-Lockview Marina. (11/18/2009)
Question: Good evening evadrangsholt, I'll be off loading in Seattle Dec 13-14th. I'm a owner/operator marine transport company. Fully licensed and insured. As well as fully USDOT compliant. $100,000.00 marine cargo and $1 Million liability at "NO" charge to you. Please take a minute to view my companies profile and customer feedback. Thank you and looking forward to doing business. Capt Edgar (11/18/2009)
Response: Hello, These dates should work for me if the price is right. (11/19/2009)
Response: How will this vessel be loaded/off-loaded? Must be travel lift for my trailer. If so, my charge would be $3000.00. If I can be any assitance please let me know asap. Thank you Capt Edgar (11/19/2009)
Question: I am to be in your area the 1st/2nd week in Dec.It is dead up there as of now.I will be inbound with a very large boat from Fl.If you commit asap I will offer 3000.00 total...tduncan55 (11/19/2009)
Response: Thank you. I have several offers on hand, and even without being a return freight they are lower than yours. (11/19/2009)
Response: I have been in this business for 15 years I hear it all the time 2.40/mile on an oversize boat that requires "boat specific"insurance and proper filings with every state to even obtain a proper permit is as low as a legal shipper can go and remain profitable enough to maintain a reputation and stay in business.I know many of the offers you have here and they are in the same range because they are proper and legal...I really do not want the reputation of being "cheap"good luck on it,I hope it goes really well...tduncan55 (11/19/2009)
Question: Can the boat be loaded on 12/7? Thanks. Allison-Lockview Marina. (11/19/2009)
Question: We sailed a Hunter 34' from Cape Canaveral, Fl to Seattle, WA just 2 months ago. Would you be interested in having us sail the boat from Long Beach to Olympia? I am familiar with the Puget Sound, we have sailed several boats from San Diego to Seattle and Tacoma, and we used to live in Tumwater, WA. We can provide the sail-away service much cheaper than de-masting and re-rigging/tuning + transport via truck. Also, trucking would require wide load permits and escort vehicles. Let me know if interested in our sail-away service. Anthony (11/26/2009)
Response: hello, What would your price be (Seattle - San Diego?) (11/26/2009)
Response: If your boat is ready to sail (sails & full fuel/water tanks), we would put in a bid of $2,500 total (includes Uship fees). We cover all crew travel expenses to your location + cost of all of the supplies for meals. We have over 20yrs experience sailing in Atlantic, Pacific, and Gulf of Mexico waters. Based in San Diego. Could start as early as the 1st of Dec, but we work with your schedule. Transit time from your location to San Diego is 3-6 days, based on weather and your sail compliment on board; we try to minimize the fuel use. Thanks for your consideration. (11/26/2009)
Question: I am still inbound to Anacortez with this 42' Luhrs.I hope to be in the area in a week.I have a Grand Banks to load in southern Ca.I realize you are holding out for a low price and my price is slightly higher. If you want a worries free move and soon(it is a beautiful boat)I will offer 5% off of the price(see details in my profile here at uship...left click tduncan55 in the bid area)tduncan55 (12/2/2009)
Response: My boat is in the final stages of a refurbishment, and that's the reason for this apparently strategy of delay. Could you forward me some references, preferably boatyards, and your price? I am not certain we can be done in a week. We still need to install a watermaker, refrigerator, and electronics. But I will hear with the tech guys tomorrow. (12/3/2009)
Response: My other obligation in Ca. is waiting on my arrival.I have not much time after unloading this one and I have been delayed with this one also.I really need to load no later than the morning of the 9th and be on my way asap to do it.After your uship deposit you would owe me 2850.00 discount included..That is really sharpening the pencil on this.thanks tduncan55 (12/3/2009)
Question: Also left click on tduncan55 in the bid area and veiw my profile complete with references.Surf back several pages and compare boats.I have taken many boats in and out of many marina's in 15 years.Shelter Island (Joe Driscol),Shelter Isl. boatyard,Seabrook(Kemah Tx),Marina Del Ray,Basin Marine Newport Beach(Dave and his son Joe). The one negative in the profile was a guy who seemed to want to rip off everybody from the marina to the transporter. (12/3/2009)
Question: we will be on the west coast week of the 14th can you be ready to ship? Thanks (12/6/2009)
