Response: Thanks Dan, sorry am just replying as I was waiting for some info. The boat cannot be loaded onto a barge where she is docked now but she can be moved up and down the bayou to load on the barge. Move to New orleans sounds better, the name of the aluminium crewboat is Cheetah. 1969 built Length=90", Beam=21", draft=5.6" Maingines 2X GM16V71 (1200 HP) 2X Aux(40KW) I have the bill of sales. If you have a ship ready to take it please reserve the space. Remember that all I want is this boat delivered safely thru the easiest most convenient way/means that comes at the best price. I will accept the bid before it expires all things being equal. Thanks (11/10/2009)

Response: Thanks Dan, I'll have to get back to you on this but am sure you will need a cradle. (11/10/2009)
Question: I've been reading all of your blogs for the last couple of days and it seems as though you've been trying to get this boat shipped for some time. Since you have not accepted a bid yet, I assume you are not comfortable with what you have been getting back so I took the liberty of contacting my shipper and I'm now in the process of getting scheduling info, rates and etc so you can make an informed decision with all the facts. Give me a couple of days and I will have the info for you. I hope you don't mind me working on it for you. Go Deep Xpress (11/9/2009)
Response: Thanks for your concern, I'll very much appreciate the info. All I need is to ship this boat at the easiest most convenient and cheapest way. (11/9/2009)
Response: If you have some flexibility, I can get you into the Port @ Malavo, Nigeria a lot faster, easier and cheaper than Lagos. Let me know and I will get on it so you don't miss the shipment. (11/10/2009)
Response: I am not sure if Malavo is in Nigeria, havn't heard of it. (11/10/2009)
Response: Sorry for the typo. It is Malabo which is an island with a large port near Lagos. (11/10/2009)
Response: I'll get back to you on this as soon as I can (11/10/2009)
Response: Still need this moved? (11/11/2009)
Response: Still need it moved, Malabo is in Equitorial Guinea about 3hrs steam to Lagos. I have to find out the way things are done over there. As you know I already have an active bid on this shipment,I'll go for the easiest move at the right price. (11/11/2009)
Question: Shipper I'm going to assume you are serious about shipping this vessel. With that in mind, I hope that you take a hard look at where your bids are coming from. They are coming from transporters that have shipped dogs, sofas and etc. If you are sreious, I think you need to do some serious inquiries about the cost of transporting a 100 ton vessel to Africa. You will not get a legitimate price in the 50k dollar range. When you run out of options let me know. Our legitmate option is still available with a real schedule and a Yacht company that does this everyday. (11/18/2009)
Response: I get you, the boat is 90 tonne gross she is worth 150K, I dont have that much money for shipping. Thanks (11/20/2009)
Response: I give you an example. I recently sent 2 boats to Costa Rica. One was 28 ft and weighed 16k lbs, the other was 29 ft and weighed 13k lbs. The cost was $14k and $12k respectively. What I gave you is the going rate. It would cost you $200k (fuel, etc) to send it on its own bottom if it were capable on is own. You be very careful with those that tell they can ship your boat was $50k. That's impossible for a boat that size. Do some inquiries and when you are done, get with your people and contact me again. (11/20/2009)
Question: We were involved with shipping two 82' vessels to Lagos last year the problem we found was the port cranes were not large enough to lift a vessel of that size. We had to use a shipper with shipboard cranes with enough capacity. Cost of shipping was double your max. My question is can you afford more? If so we would be more than glad to bid on this shipment and make it happen. If not I do not care waste my time and effort. (11/18/2009)
Response: Depends on how much more. Can you let me know how much you can do it for before you bid. Thanks (11/18/2009)
Response: The cost for the actual ship alone was around $70,000. The other two boats weighed less at 120,000# so cost to you would be more on that end. Above and beyond that figure would be cradle expense, getting the boat to port of departure, preping boat for transit, ect. I expect the boat has been sitting taking her on a few hundred mile journey to the port may present unforeseen cost. Very difficult to bid this, and I don't want to over or under exaggerate the cost. With that being said you need to be thinking in the $100,000 +/- range. (11/19/2009)
Response: There is no problem with the boat, she is ready to go. The boat is worth 150K, 100K is too much for me. (11/20/2009)
Response: I wish we could do it for your price. However the value of a vessel is not what determines the shipping cost. Size and weight do and $50,0000 will not cover it. I would like to help however we have to be realistic. (11/20/2009)
