Questions for this shipment:

Question: could i pikc up the 2 sea doos? i could also pick up the boat but i'll need to increase my insurance. let me know whatr you think...i could pick up the doos this trip and get teh boat within 2-3 weeks. thanks, brad...let mem know...i'll be passing through henderson this week. check my feedback..;) (8/16/2009)
Response: They can be split up for shipment. Please see my other post for 3 cars and bid accordingly. What is your pricing for me to review? (8/16/2009)
Question: could i drive the cars? thanks again, brad (8/16/2009)
Response: I would prefer to keep the mileage off of the vehicles, however I will entertain all offers. (8/16/2009)
Response: commercial vehicles are going to have to pay a 500.00 fee to pick hyour boat up at lake mead. i just took a boat there 2 months ago and it was a surprise to me ....they hit me with a 500.00 fee to get the boat past the security station. with all this being said, i can get all your vehicles to tenn. for 8000.00. we can wet launch in tenn. if that is what you need. are your cars going to chattanooga also? i would take your skis now, and come back in 2 weeks for your boat...then i'd fly back to vegas and drive your cars...3 times. thanks, brad...i ican start this process this week. ;) (8/16/2009)
Response: I like the price but would prefer the cars be hauled back in lieu of driven. My Tundra could be driven and used to tow the hummer and bmw if you had a two car trailer you could find. That way it would be a one time shot for the cars. Thanks again for the interest. (8/23/2009)
Question: You can verify this with Lake Mead office but the bidder must also be a registered vendor of the park to transport into and out of there. Also your boat will need to be cleaned, decontaminated for the quagga mussel before it can leave the park. It is against the law to transport without having this done. Lake Mead has a bad infestation of mussels and failure to decontaminate the boat can result in heavy fines and the boat being impounded. (8/16/2009)
Response: The transporter must do his or her due-diligence prior to submitting their bid. I am not responsible for anything after it has been delivered to a boat ramp of the drivers choice on Lake Mead, NV. If any of the such is required or if there are any questions about mussels the Park Service contact information is: address 601 Nevada Way Boulder City, NV 89005, Office (702) 293-89005. Thank you. (8/16/2009)
Response: Not exactly. As the owner it is your respnsibility to make sure the boat is cleaned and meets the requirements for the certification. The cost is about $150. It is your responsibility to make sure the carrier is registered with the park service. As the registered owner of the vessel, you are ultimately responsible to make sure everything is in compliance before your boat can leave the park area. The parks also require written notice that the boat is leaving, also your responsibility. (8/16/2009)
Response: When it was shipped here in June of 2007 the only permit we had was a special use permit (no cost) since it was delivered on a Saturday. If there is a government fee of some sort which is required to be paid by the owner then I will pay that cost. You sound well versed in your knowledge and your experience and feedback is 100%. I do not mind filling out any owner necessary paperwork and assisting in the process with the successful transporter as this boat is my baby. I am flexible on my delivery date so any form or procedure which might be needed on my end will be easy to complete. (8/16/2009)
Response: Callville Bay Marina is about the best for this. They have the decontamination unit onsite. They can do the certificates and their staff is very knowledgable about what is required to leave the park. It is a little more complicated since it is a National versus state park but they know exactly what you need to do. They also have a floating dock beside the ramp which is very handy to keep the boat lined up properly on the trailer as you pull it out of the water. One person can stand on the dock and hold the boat steady and it goes right into place and nobody has to get wet! I do have to renew my vendor permit because my insurance policy is renewing but is not a big deal. Whenever you are ready I will have the new permit and insurance on file with the park. (8/16/2009)
Response: That's ironic as it is located at the yacht club there at Callville Bay as well as my two seadoo's. One transporter has a 50' trailer and was going to load the boat and then in front of the boat place the two seadoo's sideways as they are 11' in length (12' on their hydro hoist if I take them also). Can you take the seadoo's in a similar fashion? I was thinking of having it offloaded at Erwin Marina next to the Chickamauga Damn just off Hwy 153 in Chattanooga, Tn. (8/16/2009)
Response: Hales Bar Marina on Nickajack is also an excellent marina resaonably priced and there is a public ramp there that I can launch your boat at. I can also do the the seadoo's for you in the same manner. (8/16/2009)
Response: I would not mind but it will only be me receiving the boat and with the two seadoo's it is impossible for me to do alone. From Nickajack to yy home (Chickamauga Damn area) would be 60 miles. For the 6k bid I assume that includes the boat and seadoo's correct on your one trailer? I will be there to assist in any way possible. The marina (Callville) can take care of the wash off process. The boat and seadoo's have closed loop cooling and muscle screens so that should go really fast. I could meet you at the marina load up and we could eat as they do the muscle cleaning process. I would like to do this around the end of September or worst case first of October. What are your thoughts? (8/23/2009)
Response: The end of September works good for me.Try not to wait too long to accept a bid though. The $6k includes the seadoo's and wet launch in Tenn. Just let me know as soon as you can and I'll put you on the schedule. Jim (8/23/2009)
Response: You got yourself a deal. I am unsure of the contact procedures as this is my first time using this service. The end of September or first week of October is perfect for us. Figure delivery to Chickamauga Damn area 37343. depending on your pick up and travel time it will be myself or my uncle meeting you. And between now and then we will be able to find a suitable place for you to launch. Thanks, Tommy (8/23/2009)
Question: I will be in Ca again the 2nd week of Sept.I have taken boats in and out of lake Mead w/o the problems discussed here.I am sure the info is accurate about the loading there. If you can have arrangements made to have the boat loaded onto my equipment(I will have my 53' transport, not water p/u capable, unfortunatly not the 38' Metalcraft)and pay all additional costs,I will do the transport at 5750.00...tduncan55(ThomasDuncanTruckingh) (8/21/2009)
Response: I am almost certain there are not lifts at any of the marinas on lake mead so we would have to use a crane. Can you fit the seado's also on the trailer? Thanks (8/23/2009)
