Question: So, how much are you looking to spend on this? I'd like to get out that way to help out another shipper. JM (2/13/2008)
Response: Well here is the deal, I live in Vermont and my folks have a place in RI, so I thought it would be cheeper to ship to RI. I have a jeep and can make the trip for $200 bucks in gas. So I was thinking if I could get it to RI for a couple hundred bucks it would be worth my while. Alan (2/14/2008)
Response: Hello Alan, Thanks for getting back. Sorry I can't help you out for that kind of $. And it looks like no one else can either. 579 miles, it would cost me almost that much for fuel. Response: Good Morning Shad, I am actually located in Northern Vermont (Burlington) and am planning on making the trip to pick up my boat next weekend. I figure it is 450 miles to Harrisburg from my home and it will cost me about $250 in gas to make the trip. I thought I could get a shipper to bring it to my brothers house in RI cheeper than VT, but I guess I was wrong. If I could get a shipper to bring it to VT for 300 bucks I would do it. Response: Well from Greenfield I would be a bit over 2 hours so a 4 hour round trip. I figure it would take me 500 miles 54 gallons of fuel $170 and about 18 hours. Alan (2/22/2008)
