Questions for this shipment:
Question:
What exactly is this? Mainly, what is the 8ft long, 800lb item? (8/12/2008)
Response:
The two 8ft long, 800lb items are server racks. They will be scrapped so we are not concerned with scratches or dents. Will you be able to provide a Certificate of Insurance listing the building and owners prior to pick up of material? (8/13/2008)
Response:
building and owners? i have 100,000.00 dollar cargo insurance and i can provide proof. is that what you are looking for? (8/13/2008)
Response:
The building manager needs to see the Certificate of Insurance that specifically lists on it the building and it's owners. Some other truck owners told me it's a one day rider on their insurance that the insurance company would be able to complete. (8/13/2008)
Question:
Hi, I am a legal hauler and with a ph call to my ins agent, I can have the owner added and faxed to them. What are the other items other than the scrap items? All this will be loaded and unloaded? Anything need tarping? Could it be picked up this Sat? Thanks (8/14/2008)
Response:
Items must be picked up Monday - Friday. The other items are all scrap - 3 large shelves 3'x2'x1' and other used telephone company equipment that will be scrapped. All but two items are in a dock area where they have a pallet jack to move items. You would have to have some masonite to protect the floor at the other building - the building where the 2 800lb items are.(I was told the building had some but not enough to get to the elevator. I would think you could take the masonite you already rolled across and place it in front of the sheet you are on.) The driver would be responsible for moving and loading items on pick up - but on delivery there would be someone to unload. (8/14/2008)
Response:
Hi, can't quite figure this one out, who are you in this, are you a broker. You mention shippers then owners. Thanks (8/14/2008)
Response:
No I am not a broker. I am an employee of the company that is receiving the items for recycling. Our client has many locations throughout the US and rent space in buildings owned by others. We have been commissioned to remove the items and have them shipped to one of our several locations throughout the US. Does that help? (8/14/2008)
Question:
sorry I'm not a moving co. I only haul freight and can't do this move for you. my Ins. will not cover me in Your building. But when you need a driver please contact me thank you m.biery (8/15/2008)
Response:
I will certainly consider you the next time I have a load to haul that does not require insurance. Not all of my loads are this complicated. In fact the second stop in Atlanta has everything at the dock just waiting to be picked up. The driver only has to load and go... (8/15/2008)
Response:
I'm sorry may-be you misunderstood me I didn't say i don't have ins. I just can't accommodate you at this time for this move. Thank You (8/15/2008)
