Questions for this shipment:

Question: are you ready to transport this weekend I will be in Oh and would be able to pickup in Mi with direct shipment to Co.for $1200 (10/30/2009)
Response: Sorry, this weekend would be too soon! Thanks. (10/31/2009)
Response: best of luck (11/9/2009)
Question: Hello will be in MI. heading west the week of Nov. app. 9-13th. If that time frame works let us know, Check our feed back here on Uship, we placed a bid for you. Shannon&Phill@BlackHillsEquine (10/30/2009)
Response: Hi, That is possible, I think, but I'll have to double check a few things. Could you please let me know what the trip would be like for my mare? length of time in the trailer at a stretch, how long the trip would be, whether she would be let out occasionally, etc.? She is not an athlete (pleasure horse) and my vet things that very long periods would be tiring. Also, do you have a ramp for loading? She has not been transported much in the last 10 years (only once or twice) and is an exceptionally sweet, easy to handle horse, but may be nervous about getting on a trailer. Thank you! (10/31/2009)
Response: Hi, How old is she? Once we have her on board, We run app. 8-10 hrs, with breaks of 45 min. to an hour, in between every 2-3hrs. Then off load at horse motels at night, (we need our rest as drivers too), This trip would be two over nights and deliverd on the 3rd. day. depending on the weather, etc. and the time line when yours is loaded and the other pick-ups etc. Horses, get thier rest when the truck is stopped, excersise when the truck is moveing, I use to use Doc Erving in MI. as my persoanl vet, I trust his judgement on hauling and the way it needs to be done,. No, no ramp, Again, most horses that havent been loaded, tend to shy away from ramps, once they step one foot onto them, this trailer sets lower than most, and most just kind of step in. It has a full rear door, so they see what thier getting into. Most of the time if other horses are already on, an calm, the new one, most likely will go rite on as well, Shannon&Phill@BlackHillsEquine (10/31/2009)
Response: Hi, She is a 24 year old Arab, which means she's like a 12 year old of any other breed. She has no health issues at all and is a very sweet mare, but I have been in Colorado for a few months and she hasn't been getting her work outs in, so she's probably pretty soft from being just pastured. I've never tried her on a step up trailer, so perhaps that would be easier for her. She definitely doesn't like ramps much - wants to go follow but as soon as her hoof hits the ramp she get shy. She probably needs 2 people to get her up, just to encourage from behind as well as front. Your rest plans sounds like about what I would have planned on myself, if I was going to bring her. During that 45 minute rest, is that when they get water/hay? Thanks again! (10/31/2009)
Response: Hello, good on all above, Yes, when we stop we check on the horses and hay and water if they need it, We try to run with hay in water in front of them at all times, depends if thier big drinkers an eaters, or not, if they need it when we stop they get it. I was thinking the step up would work better for all. If you decide to go with us, we are leaving out on Monday PM. just a heads up for you, we need to confirm, ok? Thanks, Shannon&Phill@BlackHillsEquine (10/31/2009)
Response: Hi, thank you. I thought your bid was for transport between 11/9 and 13? We aren't ready to move this weekend, unfortunately, but perhaps between the 9th and 13th. (10/31/2009)
Response: Hi, I if you look at the bid detials, it says pick-up between 11-8 and 11-12, We are willing to work with you on that give or take a day if needbe? Thanks, Shannon&Phill@BlackHillsEquine (11/1/2009)
Response: Ok, that's what I thought, but your reference to leaving Monday confused me - sorry! I'm not sure I can make the decision by tomorrow, can I call you? My number is [phone number removed] , just in case. Tanya (11/1/2009)
Response: Hi Tanya, in MI. this weekend, are you reay do go? Phill@BlackHillsEquine (11/5/2009)
Response: No, sorry, we just got her health certificate. (11/8/2009)
Question: Hello this is DJ (alliedtrades497) Is this horse ready to go Tomorrow ? $890 Thank you for your time and consideration, DJ (alliedfrades497) (10/30/2009)
Response: No, sorry, we're not ready yet! (10/31/2009)
Question: I will be making this trip again around the first of Dec. if that will work for you. (11/3/2009)
Response: Thank you, but I just got a bid for about the same price for transport in a box stall, so I think I'll go with that! Thanks, Tanya (11/8/2009)
Question: Hello, what is your price range? Thanks, Monika&Michael flyinghorsecompany (11/7/2009)
Response: Hi, We just got a quote for box stall transport for $900. (11/8/2009)
Response: Hello, we could do this for $900 but excl. horse motel. We think it is better to stop in a horse motel so that the horses can move a little bit and get more fresh air. According our experience the horse are more relaxed then especially when the transport takes longer than one day. Monika&Michael flyinghorsecompany (11/8/2009)
Response: Hi, Thank you. So the costs of horse motels would be in addition? Can you estimate what they might be? Can you let me know more about the duration of the trip? How many stops and how long in the trailer at a stretch? How large is the space in the trailer? I assume she is tied, so has little mobility in the trailer? Also, would there be room for her small tack box and saddle? I appreciate your help! Tanya (11/9/2009)
Response: Hi Tanya, you're right the costs of the horse motels would be in addition ($25 per night per horse). According to the miles of 1.227 the trip will take 2 days and we need one overnight stop. But if there would be a lot of traffic the whole trip, we would need another night because the horses are as maximum 12 hours in the trailer. But then we inform you in time if there is another overnight stop necessary. During the trip there are every 3 hours breaks to offer water to the horses and check if everything is ok. We transported already Drafts and Friesen which are very big and they felt good. The horse is not tied so that they can move a little bit. We have windows in the trailer and vent flap in the roof. When we stop for the night we are walking with the horses before they go into the box or the paddock. If necessary we are stretching or massaging them, too. There is room for your box and saddle. We drive according the EU-regulations we had to follow in Germany. Thanks, Monika&Michael (11/9/2009)
Response: Thank you. When are you planning the trip? When would she be picked up and dropped off? (11/11/2009)
Response: We would pickup on Sunday morning (Nov 15th) and drop off within 3 days. Thanks, Monika&Michael flyinghorsecompany (11/12/2009)
Question: Hi Tanya, we are working on the schedule for the next week and we figured out we could load Sapphire also on Wednesday morning but we should know this until Sunday. Thanks, Monika flyinghorsecompany (11/14/2009)
