Response: Hi, thanks for the e-mail. The only reason why I declined yours and is looking into duncan is b/c his feedback scores were higher and did not have any negative feedback... Thanks. If things don't work out with Duncan, I will certainly let you know. thanks. (11/28/2007)
Response: WE HAVE TRUCK IN YOUR AREA NOW,CAN DO FOR YOUR TARGET IF READY TO MOVE NOW.THANKS (12/5/2007)
Question: note;going west from the middle of the country is much easier as to the height.Up to 15' or 16'is usually no problem. (11/28/2007)
Question: Hi shipper, We are a legal and insured boat transporter working out of our long established boatyard near Corpus Christi. We are all sailors and I know the boat. I can give you an all inclusive price if you are interested. Thanks, John(houseofboats) (11/28/2007)
Question: Can you confirm the length on this? (11/28/2007)
Response: It's 40' sailboat. 60' high, 20' wide. (11/28/2007)
Response: 10-4, Thanks for your response. (11/28/2007)
Question: Is the boat 60' high because that is the length of the mast? I will have a truck down there this week and can ship your boat if you still need it done. Let me know and I can submit a bid. Thanks Allison-Lockview Marina. (11/29/2007)
Response: Yeah, yeah, it's because of the mast. I suppose there is a way to take it apart?? Anyway, I just flew down to San Antonio and accepted the offer so I need to start lining up the carrier to bring it to here in CA so please put in the bid. I just want you to know that I sort of have someone in mind already though. He's doing it for under $5000.00 and has many positive remarks. Thanks. (12/11/2007)
Response: Unfortunately my truck is no longer in Texas. I'll let you know if something changes. Thank you for getting back to me. Allison. (12/11/2007)
Question: How is mid Jan for you shipping schedule? Steven (Yacht Details LLC) (12/7/2007)
Response: Actually, I would need to have it picked up in December as I flew down to San Antonio and purchased the boat. (12/11/2007)
Response: We may be able to do the Dec move. I just had a cancellation on a Texas to Mich., However this is all around Christmas, Let's stay in touch and I will advise you of a more firm date if you are interested ??? see my bid expired, do you want me to re-bid ?? (12/12/2007)
Question: Hello again.I have had a cancellation of a load.Their purchase fell thru.I am curious ,have you purchased the boat?Is it by some chance ready now?I have a large move to do in January and I am checking to fill a gap and searching very hard. This is close to the holidays and I am looking to get something done soon...tduncan55(ThomasDuncanTrucking) (12/8/2007)
Question: No reply from you...we are new to u-ship. Located in Corpus christi area...full service boatyard. We can handle the whole move for you no problem. In water to boatyard, unstep, prep for shipping and deliver for around 6000.00. I have owned this company for 30 years, and I know what I am doing. John (houseofboats) (12/11/2007)
Question: Hello again,I have had some changes in shedule and I am at present available, evidently thew guy who booked the 16,000 move with me does not own the darn boat.I feel I have missed this one but just in case...tduncan55(ThomasDuncanTrucking) (12/13/2007)
Response: Hi, we got the boat! Just need to line up to pick it up. When are you exactly available? Also, could you lower the price? Your bid came in a bit higher then the others... Let me know as soon as you can. Thank you. (12/16/2007)
Response: How close can you come to the price?I am going to Nc to load monday and retuirn to Kemah Texas with a couple of Grady Whites.I sure would like to get down asap to load yours. The holiday period will interfere a little but I do live in Texas and will make it work for you and I.tduncan55 (12/16/2007)
Question: Also'the big move I had in January is gone...I am available as soon as I get back from Nc and unload in Kemah Texas, not far from yours...tell me your idea on price...If you commit today I will leave early to Nc to get it back in time to at least load yours. We will not be able to get permits during Christmas but can adjust to leave asap afterwards to beat New Years restrictions.I will lower some because I will be closer to you now.tduncan55 (12/16/2007)
Question: do you need a quote for preparation of the transport or transport only, the boat will need to be demasted and lifted on and off my trailer I can arrange all services but let me know transport only will do around 4000 (12/16/2007)
Question: Hi shipper,We are delivering a boat to the Houston area Dec 22 and could pick you boat up then or after Christmas as we are based in south Texas. Our scedule is flexible. Thanks,John(houseofboats) (12/17/2007)
Question: Sorry we are new to u-ship. We have only shipped one time using this service. That feedback was very positive. We have been in the boat transport business a long time and I can provide you with many other references. Check picture #3 on our profile. That is a boat similar to yours that we shipped to Ottawa, Canada 2 weeks ago.John (houseofboats). (12/17/2007)
Question: Hello again,I am available soon,I am in NC picking up to Seabrook/Kemah Tx area, unloading by the weekend.I can load after that if you desire, but I need to communicate to set up....I have to start booking somethiung into next year.tduncan55(ThomasDuncanTrucking) (12/18/2007)
Response: Hi, In case you need more information about the boat, I have included the following link: http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listing/boatFullDetails.jsp?boat_id=1328094&ybw=&units=Feet¤cy=USD&access=Public&listing_id=1361&url= Also, I looked at you recommendations and it seems that you have indeed moved some big sailboats. Sorry bout wasting you time with my earlier message. Also, I would like to let you know that my girlfriend initiated this conversation, however, I am taking over since she does not have all the details of the move. So, if you feel you are now talking to a different person, you are. :-) Thanks, Jim (12/18/2007)
Response: Thank you Jim,I am in NC loading to Seabrook Tx to unload Friday....Lets stay in touch....Let me know as soon as you can,I have nothing sheduled and I am working toward a boat in San Diego that this will work well ahead of.The haul will be no problem.I can load up as soon as you are ready, any concerns you may have just let me know.tduncan55 (12/19/2007)
Question: If T Duncan can't get this boat moved for you, we can. We will have trucks avaiable the first week of the year. Will this fit into your schedule?? (12/18/2007)
Question: I love the question"is it 60' tall because of the mast?" (12/19/2007)
Question: Yes I have no problem with the height.Sometimes what ever can be removed to lower height easily is neccessary. We will be allowed up ton 16' overall loaded height to the west from Texas before a front escort would be required.14'overall loaded height would be ideal. The boat keel will be aprox. 1'3" from the surface of the road when loaded. The problems really start going east because of the eastern structural areas were built ahead of the west and the infrastucture isn't as high as the west.I do not think it was anticipated that larger loads would be shipped as are today.I will start off the year with yours if as soon as you can let me know a date.If it will be some time yet I may run a load or two in between,If my offer is acceptable please accept when ready and we will be able to communicate and shedule. Thanks stay in touch...tduncan55 (12/19/2007)
Question: Jim,I have secured a San Deigo to Texas load that I felt would come thru.Let me know what you have in mind,I have reduced the price considerably here...I sure can use the load to go that way if you can move now to 1st part of Jan.please inform me as I will need to find something out that way when he gets ready.By the way it is a beautiful boat.thanks tduncan55 (12/19/2007)
Response: Hi, It looks like the date for the move from TX is January 16th. Does that work for you? Thanks, Jim (12/21/2007)
Response: Thanks,Jim This will work,I may get to the San Deigo one first, then work yours after.I have reduced the price already so be aware that the 5% off (see profile)will not apply at this price.I need commitment from you by accepting bid now in order to shedule...thanks again tduncan55 (12/21/2007)
