Response: Thanks for all the info be sure to go to bottom of this page under categories click on boat transport then on choose a carrier and read what a transporter must have to be legal to cross state lines so be sure to ask lots of questions and check on dot numbers to make sure they are active so you get your boat safe with no chance of getting impounded at state lines if caught with out all this we are legal and insured and could tow your boat to CA.for $3278. let us no if this works for you and the dates you are looking to do this and go to ours and every ones name to read feedback! (11/5/2009)

Question: U.S.DOT/MC NUMBERS BE SURE TO CLICK ON THEM AND CHECK FOR YOUR SELF SOME SAY THEY HAVE BUT WHEN YOU CLICK ON THEM THEY ARE NOT!ACTIVE AND WHEN YOU CHECK THAT PAGE IT WILL ALSO SHOW IF THEY HAVE THE LEGAL INSURANCE SO BE SAFE AND CHECK THOSE NUMBERS (11/8/2009)

Response: Hello Wayne,
I return to you as I have more details for dates:
The boat will be ready for interstate transport (it will be already wrapped by the Brewer Yachts Yard) on dec, 9th.
The boat must arrive in California before dec, 24th. So, you have my dates range, tell me if you can manage with that or no. I'd like to confirm that I'd like you to put the boat and its trailer on your 51ft. Thank you for your response . Even if it's negative, I need a response to plan all the procedure as I live in Tahiti and it is not easy to deal with all that. Thanks for comprehension.
Regards,
Mereana REID. (11/24/2009)

Response: SORRY I WILL BE UNLOADING IN WA. ON THE 9TH AND CAN NOT MAKE IT BACK TO LOAD YOURS IN TIME. THANKS ANYWAY (11/24/2009)

Response: Thanks Wayne for your response, do you know some one who propose the same, I mean a big trailer where I can put my boat+trailer on? Thanks for help.
Regards. Mereana. (11/24/2009)

Response: (11/24/2009)

Response: thank you so much for help Wayne, sorry not to work with you. I also have a friend from Tahiti who has bought a boat in Houston, TX and who need it to be shipp to Carson CA (as mine) to board on the same ship to Tahiti. His boat is around 88 cbm. I will check with marineexpress. Thanks again for your kindness.
Sincerely,
Mereana REID. (11/24/2009)

Question: we can do this two ways for you we can tow your boat with our 08 chevy duramax diesel dually for $3278. or we can load your boat on its trailer onto our 51ft. self loading trailer this saves any chance of tire problems and wear on your trailer and your boat rides high away from road grime and gravel/snow for $3596. and we are U.S.DOT/MC legal and fully insured be sure to click on ours and every ones name next to bids to check dot/mc numbers to see if active and read feedback from past customers you will see six one down on our feedback is a sail fish we will place bid to tow it if you want a bid to load it let us no thanks autokraft123 (( AUTOKRAFT TRANSPORT )) (11/8/2009)

Response: Hello, I'd be interested in the 2nd way, I mean to loan my boat on its trailer on your 51ft. I'll return to you as soon as I close the buying process in Connecticut, I have some maintenance services to make on it (painting bottom of hull, cleaning and wrapping), and finally I have to check the date of the appropriate boat leaving Long Beach CA to Tahiti and calculate the best period for land ship to arrive on time at Carson CA where the maritime company Wharehouse is located.
Reagrds, MR. (11/9/2009)

Response: SOUNDS GOOD BUT DO OUR DATES WORK OR TELL ME YOUR DATE RANGE AND I WILL SEE IF THEY WORK AND PLACE A BID TO LOAD IT ONTO OUR TRAILER (11/9/2009)

Response: Hi, The buying process should close in 2 weeks or less, then preparation of the boat should take a week. I'm currently dealing with the maritime company to find a ship from West Coast to Tahiti between mid december and end of it. It' s just to give you an idea. So, if things are going Okay, the land transport should be done between 1st and 10th of december, for now it's a supposition. I'll keep you informed as soon as I have more certainty.
Regards,
MR. (11/9/2009)

Response: that should work we will wait to here (11/11/2009)

Response: Hello, the buying process will close on next friday(27th), and the work on the boat will take 2 weeks. The boat will be ready to be shipped on monday dec, 14th. The shipping boat is leaving Long Beach Ca, on dec 31st. Do you think that you can do it, I mean, that departing from CT around the 14th and arrive in CA maximum on the 28th?
And I confirm that I would like the boat on trailer loaded on your 51ft. Thank you for response and bid. Sincerely, MR. (11/21/2009)

Question: Good evening Mekenana, do you have any confirmed dates for your transport? I'm a owner/operator marine transport company. Fully licensed and insured as " REQUIRED" by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Please vie wmy companies profile and feedback. Thank you and looking forward to doing business. Capt Edgar (11/13/2009)

Response: Hello Capt Edgar,
I'm actually on a buying process of this boat. The survey and sea trial took place this morning and I'm waiting for the report of the surveyor. After closing, I'd like the boat to be repainted (the bottom of the hull),and deep cleaned, I also have 1 or 2 electronics to install and then the broker has to prepare it for land shipping (shrink wrap). The boat should be ready at the end of the month but from now I can't be absolutely sure. In Long Beach, CA, the boat will have to be delivered at the maritime company wharehouse to be sea-shipped to Tahiti where I live...It's a long way home! But I really need someone which take good care of it. Thanks for your interest. Regards, MR. (11/14/2009)

Question: Thanks for the bid request, we currently having nothing going to that area but look and see what we might be able to get out your way. I will get back to you. Thanks Ron (11/25/2009)

Response: Hi Ron, thank you for response. It's Wayne from autokraft you gave me your contact. In fact, I'm looking for a good shipper with a trailer where my boat + trailer could be put on. I'd be happy if we can work together or if you know a good shipper I can contact. Anyway, even if you have another dates to propose, just tell me.
I bought this boat in CT and it will be shipped ona boat in CA to go to Tahiti where I live. Thank you for keeping me informed and for your help.
Mereana REID. (11/26/2009)

Response: MR, we can have a truck around that time, but it would be a lot higher than your current bids due to the fact your boat would take all the space as we normally haul two, besides the fact it is a wide load and would require permits in all states. We run strictly legal. Ron (11/26/2009)

Response: Oh, I understand, Wayne proposed near 4.000 USD to put my boat + trailer on his 51ft. As I changed my dates due to preparation of the boat (painting, waxing and shrink wrap), Wayne couldn't manage with the new dates. How much could you propose?
I could have a friend of mine which boat is in Houston TX and would like to go to Carson CA at the same spot(it is the maritime company wharehouse) as mine. His boat is 88 cbm. Tell me if this alternative could help! (11/26/2009)

Response: Well I see you still haven't had any luck in finding a carrier. Still haven't got idea when we might be there. What kind of boat does your friend have in Texas? (12/3/2009)

Response: Hello, I just know about its volume : 88 cbm.
Mine is 97 cbm.
I have latest measurements updated by the marina yard :
height : 11 feet 5 inches
width : 9 feet 5 inches
length : 32 feet 2 inches.
The difficulty to find a carrier is that I prefer to use flatbed and the height becomes too much.
Do you think it is possible to unload my boat from its trailer(the height of the boat itself is 9 feet 6 inches), put it on the flatbed and tow the trailer without the boat on it? What do you think about that possibility?
If it is too complicated, I will ask for a tow away service and using my trailer. The boat has to reach California before or on dec 21st to catch the shipping boat of dec 31st...
Any advice is welcome.
Many thanks,
Sincerely,
MR. (12/3/2009)

Response: Your boat and trailer can go on a boat low boy type trailer and not be over height, one thing they can also do is pull the tiers off and set on axles to lower height. It is done all the time. I do know of a carrier but they might be a little high. I cannot give you their names but I will contact them tomorrow and see if they have a truck in the area. They would have to joined uship which I don't think they will do or maybe it can go thru us. Without reading thru all the emails on here is something wrong with your trailer? (12/3/2009)

Response: Hi Ron,
Thank you so much for spending your precious time to advise me.
I have nothing wrong with my trailer, I prefer not to use it for 2.800 miles because the boat will be shipped to Tahiti where I live, and here, it's very difficult to have such trailers. Second thing is that I think it's better for boat protection to put both boat+trailer on another trailer. May be I'm wrong, what is your opinion? If you tell me that you know a very good tow away carrier which would take good care of the shipment...You should know that I've just bought this boat and Connecticut is so far from California and...Tahiti! I'm sure things will be easier if I opt for tow away, and if you tell me it's okay, I trust you.
Anyway, I thank you for your patience and assistance.
Sincerely,
Mereana. (12/3/2009)

Response: Mr, I know 2800 miles seems alot to you on your trailer and would take years over there. Most damage to trailers come from short distances and load and unloading. Highway miles are a lot different. If the trailer is in good shape, tires, bearings etc. it will be fine. You should have a full body shrink wrap incl motors. This is not due to weather but things have away of comming up missing on a long trip. Who do you blame, transporter, storage, shipping company. Also make sure vents all installed in shrink wrap. If you look at our last boat you will see it is about the same size as yours in our profile and everything went great. If you decide to go this way, let me know. Your boat would be to tall on or wedge trailers. Ron (12/4/2009)

Response: Hi Ron,
The trailer is really in good condition, so, let's go for a tow away solution. Tell me what you can suggest.
Many thanks,
Regards,
Mereana. (12/4/2009)

Response: If you like, I could head that way and pick up by the 12th and have to Ca around 17th. It does require wide load permits and restriction on day time only in some states. It would be 4,000. I know this is lot higher than the bids you had for towing, but that is being realistic in cost. If this will not work for you I will still help in anyway I can. Thanks Ron (12/4/2009)

Response: Hello Ron,
I accept your offer. Let the bid on Uship.
i've just received the info and pictures that the boat is shrink wrapped.
The yard is now checking all parts of the trailer (whells, lights and brakes) and I did buy a spare tire...just in case.
The yard also told me to advise the transporter that the trailer doesn't have license plate. I hope it won't be a problem. I also removed the identification number of the boat as it has to be recorded here in French Polynesia. I would have like to send you a picture of the boat wrapped, but I don't know how. May be when you'll make the bid. Last thing, I notice that the pick up you mentionned is a saturday and Rod (the yard manager) told me it is typically closed on week ends. Do you think it is possible to pick it up the day before or on monday? If not, I'll ask Rod what is possible for him.
Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Mereana. (12/4/2009)

Response: The date was more or less in general time frame. I will place the bid. Once you except we will get each others contact info and email address will be included. Ron (12/4/2009)

Response: Thank you for the bid. Last question, is it possible to pay by wire transfer? Because, I won't be at the delivery end, it' s the warehouse of the maritime company where the boat will wait for loading on a ship in Long Beach on the 31st.
Be advised that the transfer takes 4 openning days from Tahiti to US. What I propose is that as soon as you pick up the boat, I will transfer the funds to your account.
Anyway, I proceed to the acceptance of the bid.
Sincerely,
Mereana. (12/4/2009)

Question: Can pickup on 12/14 and deliver 12/20 for $3500! Have transport plate! Please click on our name and review our 100% positive feedback!! INTERESTED IN A FORMAL BID?? (11/26/2009)

Response: Hello Bob and Teri,
My boat will be shrink wrapped for transportation, and I'd like that both boat+trailer be loaded on a big trailer (I want that my trailer is not used). Have you got a trailer big enough to upload both boat+trailer? Thanks for answer.
Regards,
MR. (11/26/2009)

Response: Thanks for the responce!! Sorry we dont have a trailer to haul your boat on. If you have any trouble getting your boat picked up on time let us know we will be on time as you will read in our feedback and we can tow it to the port. Thanks and good luck with your shipping!!! Nice boat by the way I have haulled a couple of them and I really like the sailfish!!! (11/26/2009)

Question: Shipper,
I do slot of shipping out of L.A. I truly think your best bet is to remove the hardtop off the boat and ship that way. Two reasons. First it will be easier to find a transporter, and secondly, when shipping on a flat rack or RORO to Tahiti, they will charge more to ship the boat based on cube dimensions. The lower the dimension on height, the less cube area you are charged on the ship.
If you have the hardtop removed and stowed on the boat prior to shrink wrap, you transporter height will be less than 10ft.
Our bid would stand to bring it back at $2500.00 at anything below 14ft on the transporter.
Thanks
SCYT (12/1/2009)

Response: Hello,
Thank you for precious advice. I've checked with marina yard for Top removal, and they prefer not to do it because there is not enough room to lay it in the boat.
The top is 9'x6' but actually stands 7' off the floor.
So I try to find a solution. The height of the boat on the trailer is 11 feet 5 inches.
They propose to reduce 4-5 inches by letting the air out of the tires of trailer, but it will not be enough, I think.
What I propose (if it is possible), is to unload the boat from the trailer, put it on your faltbed (the height of the boat itself is 9 feet 6 inches) and place the trailer behind (or tow it).
Feel free to tell me what is possible or not.
Thank you very much.
Regards, MR.
