Question:
3/7/2009
Hi, do you have a target price you hope to get and a target day you hope to get it done? Thank you that will help people out.Report a Violation
Response: I am very open as to a target day. I will need a few days lead time, as once a delivery date has been set, the masts will be anodized before being picked up. For this to work out financially, I need the price to be reasonable. I am hoping for something in the $300-$400 range. However, I am considering all offers.3/7/2009Report a Violation
Response: I could probably get close to the higher end of your range, but I am full booked for 3 weeks or so, so if it is urgent I will probably not be able to fit it in but if it can be done aright around the first week of April I can give handle it for you flawlessly. Let me know thank you.3/7/2009Report a Violation
Question:
3/8/2009
Hello there.I will be back in your area with an empty boat trailer to haul these north. I can do this for you for $325 for legal insured transport. I will place a formal bid. Please note the dates for pickup and delivery. Thank you, Rob Davis, Rockin Robs Transport, Springfield ORReport a Violation
Response: Hi Rob, Sounds reasonable to me. Let me confirm the dates with the guy with the masts (in Compton). If he is o.k. with the dates that you have listed, then I should be able to accept your bid. Regards, -Chris H.3/8/2009Report a Violation
Response: That is great, thank you for your response Chris...Rob3/8/2009Report a Violation
Question:
3/13/2009
Hello there. I have just received a boat shipment from south to north during the timeframe that I indicated for your mast shipment. If you can wait another week or thereabouts I can catch them on the next run should I have an empty trailer at that time. Thank you, Rob Davis.Report a Violation
Response: Hi Rob, Waitiing a week will be better for me, as the gentleman with the masts said no pick-up until the Cashier's check clears the bank (what ever). Can you give me the dates that you will be available to pick them up??? BTW, it may be only one mast. Regards, -Christopher Harvey 3/13/2009Report a Violation
Response: I just received a boat going north this coming week so I may not be able to get to these for 2 weeks. If you lock in a transporter prior to that timeframe I understand. I cannot give a definite date as I do not have another boat shipment lined up to that area at this time, but I am sure another will come along soon. Rob3/13/2009Report a Violation
Response: Hi Rob, 2 weeks is o.k. with me. as I am not in a big hurry. The guy with the masts would like them moved ASAP, and I can understand that. I am o.k. with your price, so that is not a problem. Just let me know when. -Chris h. 3/13/2009Report a Violation
Response: OK, I will inform you as soon as I have a better timeframe. If my bid expires I will rebid. Thank you, Rob3/14/2009Report a Violation
Question:
3/17/2009
Hello again. OK, I am loaded coming out of socal on this weeks run. I do not have any idea of the next route as I am still working up shipments. If you need this shipped before I have a date, I understand, and thank you for your correspondence! Rob Davis, Rockin Robs Transport, Sprinfield ORReport a Violation
Response: Hi Rob, Talked with the guy with the masts today. No big rush on shipping. At this point, I am willing to wait, if you want the job. Can you tell me about your trailer? Also, so I can keep this job open for you, do I need to extend my request? (I am new at this....as you can tell). Thanks!!! -Chris H.3/17/2009Report a Violation
Response: I see your listing is good through 4-7 so no worries abuot relisting. I will work on my next route, and when I have something going south I will rebid. We can then organize your shipment north. My trailer is a Classic Tri-axle aluminum boat trailer that is capable of moving a 45' boat and is fully adjustable. In order to comfortably move your masts I would run straps around my bunks for support of the entire length of your mast and strap it down into the support straps. It will basicly be slung securely. I carry FULL coverage commercial insurance on ALL cargo. No worries! Thank you, Rob Davis.3/17/2009Report a Violation

Chris, We have truck in area. 3/20 and 3/21 if ready for pickup. Moved thru licensed national LTL carrier and fully insured. Let me know. AndreReport a Violation
Response: Hi Andre, Any chance you can rebid on this shipment? -Chris H.4/25/2009Report a Violation
Response: Shipper, unfortunately due to the lenght we cant service ourselves nor can our LTL carriers. They will not go above 24'. We have a 24' truck and the largest flatbed we would be able to obtain is 26'. However we do work with a couple local independent drivers and we will call to see if they will be able to accomodate.4/25/2009Report a Violation

Response: Wondering now if you still,,,,,,, need it done?????? $300 get's them rolling.5/11/2009Report a Violation
Response: Hi, Yes, I still need it done. Please tell me about your trailer, as well as how you would need the masts packaged. Thanks!!! -Chris H. 5/12/2009Report a Violation

Response: Hi, The masts are ready to go. If you bid again, I'll accept it. I sent a re-bid request that I thought was to you, but was to the wrong shipper. Masts can be picked up on weekends. However, i will not be around to accept delivery on the weekend of 6-6, 6-7. Look forward to hearing from you, and sorry for the mix-up. -Chris H.6/1/2009Report a Violation
Response: Hi Chris, no worries, mix ups happen. Lets see if we can work this out. You ended up with how many masts? Will the Gentlemen at the shipping point assist me getting them on the trailer? Will you be able to help me get them off the trailer? My help (son) broke his arm and is not traveling with me for a spell. If all that is good, then we only have to over come the little bit of bad news. Fuel prices have risen drastically in the past 2 or 3 weeks, about 15%, I am sure you have notices so in order to make the deal happen I would have to ask $330 instead of the $300 I hoped to do it for. I am holding the line as much as I can and believe me the extra $30 is not going in my pocket I can assure you. I wouldn't even consider charging a higher price if i didn't have to. Well think about it, and get back to me with the few questions I have asked. And we can try to get this done in the next few weeks if you like. Take care, Robert6/1/2009Report a Violation
Response: Hi Robert, Sorry to hear about your Son's arm. I just went through this with my 79 y.o. mom. Not much fun. 2 mast extrusions are being shpped. I understand about the need to increase the price, although I was hoping for the same (who wouldn't). Yes, there will be some one at the pick-up point to help load, as this is a commercial anodizing facility. I will personally be available to help unload, as long as it is not the weekend of 6-6/6-7. Again, sorry that this has taken so long, but I kind of got run around by the mast guy, which led to my putting this shipment up for bid before the masts were ready. Everything is ready to go. The masts are freshly anodized, and wrapped, awaiting pick-up. Thanks!!!!! -Chris H.6/2/2009Report a Violation
Response: I placed a bid.6/2/2009Report a Violation
Response: Hi Robert, Sorry for not being able to get to you bid, as my mom was hospitalized. Hope your trip to Canada went will, and we can get this done. Again, sorry for the delay on my end. R-place your bid, and we should be good. Thanks!!! -Chris H.6/11/2009Report a Violation

Hello there! I am going to be coming our ot AZ north this coming week and can move your masts for you at last! I hope you still require shipping, so let me know asap! Rob Davis.Report a Violation
Response: Hi Rob, What day do you think this would be??? I just talked with the mast guy, and he thinks the anodizing will be done my Wed. Would that work??? -Chris H. 5/1/2009Report a Violation
Response: Yes for sure. I will not be able to pick them up until at least Friday. Possibly later than that. Is it possible to pick them up on the weekend or do I need to arrange for pickup on Monday for certain? Thank you for the response! Rob D.5/1/2009Report a Violation
Question:
5/1/2009
OH, something else, are these going to Alameda or Lafayett, and are there one or two? Question is for bidding purposes...and thanks again. RobReport a Violation
Response: Hi Rob, Masts will ship to Lafayette. If delivery is a problem, then I will have you drop them off at Alameda. I haven't received an answer regarding the weekend pick-up. Can you extend your offer a day until I get the answer??? -Chris H.5/5/2009Report a Violation
Response: Lafatette is no problem. As far as dates go, I must be in the Bay area the night of the 10th (unless something changes in the meantime) and would have to pick these up on the way out of AZ, otherwise I would not be able to get these moved for you. Hopefully they can be picked up Saturday if possible. Let me know when you can, I will see what can be done, Thank you, Rob5/5/2009Report a Violation
Response: Rob, Just so I am clear...... You need to pick the masts up on Saturday the 9th, as that is what fits your schedule coming out of Az. Correct? If the anodize shop is not, or will not be open Saturday, and the masts will not be accessible, I will let you know. If not, then I will have to wait for your next trip north (although I would like to get this done soon). -Chris H5/5/2009Report a Violation
Response: That is correct. IF I can get freed up here in nothern WA soon enough to make Phoenix by Thursday morning, I can POSSIBLY pick these up Friday the 8th. Let me know how it goes. I do have several boats around your area going different directioins so next trip won't be to far out.....thanks! Rob5/5/2009Report a Violation
Response: Hi Rob, I wasn't able to talk to Joe (the mast guy), but I was able to talk to his room mate. He thinks that a Saturday pick-up would actually work better. However, I am uncomfortable accepting your bid until I can talk to Joe directly. he is supposed to call me sometime tomorrow morning. Any chance you can extend the deadline for 24 hours??? -Chris h. 5/6/2009Report a Violation
Response: At this time, due to a lengthy delay with my current shipment, pickup Monday or Tuesday will be much better. Let me know if this will work and I will rebid. Rob5/6/2009Report a Violation

I have a 36' Trailer that will handle this if the hieght tapers on one end. I am covered by 18' that is 68" in hieght. If they can enclosed that far I can handle this. Question:
5/12/2009
Hi Chris, I am not sure if my reply to your question went through. I have a 32ft flat trailer like a lot of guys do. They will exten 3ft in front and 3ft on back legally and safely. If they are banded together we can wrap the strap down areas to avoid any scratch damage during shipment. WE have dozens of straps and plenty of blocking to make it a safe secure load. I can not believe no one has taken care of you yet, it seems like this load has been on here forever. Take care let me know what you think. Cost $300, the care and handling, priceless.Report a Violation
Response: Hi, Price is fine. When would pick-up day be? (I need to check with the anodize shop where they are to make sure that they will have them ready for you). My work may make it difficult for me to get home in time to accept your offer on time ( I have confirmation from the mast folks). (I typically get home at 5:30pm). Hope we can make this work!!! -Chris H. 5/12/2009Report a Violation
Response: WE can make it work. When ever you find out from the shop, send me a quick reply, I am on the road all day Tuesday anyway I will get home about the same time you do. I run south every Friday and Saturday, and sail out of Berkeley every other weekend so I know the area well. Have a great day talk to you tomorrow if you still need it done.5/12/2009Report a Violation
Response: I talked to the guy with the masts today. Anodizing will be completed on Thursday, and ready for shipping. I need to tell them how I want them packaged. What is best for your trailer? They claim that they can crate them, wick would be good for me. let me know. -Chris H.5/13/2009Report a Violation
Response: Hi Chris, if they can crate them and they are not going to charge you a lot for it, that would be the absolute best way to go, as long as they can help load with the extra weight of the crating, and if there will be extra help to unload because of the crating. As soon as they say 100% positive they are done I will plan a trip within days. Keep me posted on this. Thanks again!5/13/2009Report a Violation
Response: BTW, sorry for the late reply. Comcast is on the fritz here!!! Grrrrrr!!! -Chris H. ************************************ Hi, I am told that the masts are done. I was not able to get in touch with anyone regarding packaging. They are supposed to call me in the morning. Also, apparently they sand-blasted the masts. This may be a problem for me. If mast guy says sand-blast is o.k., then we are ready to go. What's your schedule look like? -Chris H.5/15/2009Report a Violation
Response: Do you know if the shop is open on Saturdays?5/15/2009Report a Violation
Response: Yes, they are. When i spoke with them earlier, they said a Saturday pick-up shuld not be a problem. -Chris H. 5/15/2009Report a Violation
Question:
5/12/2009
Hello there. I cannot make the pickup this week, but there is a good possibility next week on the way back from Phoenix. It just depends on whether these are ready to go, and your shipper is home. Please advise and I will rebid for your acceptance. RobReport a Violation

We have a truck in the area now. Do you still need shipping?KAT@JAGReport a Violation
Response: Yes, I still need them shipped. Masts are 38 feet long. Will this be a problem? -Chris H.6/1/2009Report a Violation
Response: Hi Chris, The length of the masts, not a problem at all! My only concern is taking a tractor trailer combination unit into residential areas. There are restrictions and the truck that is doing this job will be 71'6" long total. Kingpin set is 44'3". Sometimes curbs can be cut.Not a good situation. KAT@JAG6/2/2009Report a Violation
Question:
6/1/2009
Are they going to a residence or a marina in Alameda? KAT@JAGReport a Violation
Response: Hi, The plan is to have then delivered to my residence in Lafayette, Ca. If this is a problem, then I have 2 other options. A warehouse in Richmond (most likely), or possibly Alameda Marina. What ever works best. Let me know if you have any other questions. Regards, -Chris H.6/2/2009Report a Violation
Response: Chris,Here is my proposal. Our driver is to be loading a small sailboat in the LA area either Thursday or Friday. We can have your masts loaded onto racks above the sailboat that will already be loaded. That mast can ride on the racks with yours.I don't have a specific marina destination but it will be in the Suisun City area or Alameda. The owner is still trying to find a place.I will place a fair bid and we can make this happen for you, finally, this week. KAT@JAG6/2/2009Report a Violation
Response: Hi Kat, I don't think the truck in the neighborhood is a problem, as we sometimes have a moving truck park in front of the water company lot that runs through our neighborhood. However I understand the concern. I will be calling the guy with the warehouse in Richmond this morning, to see if this is a possibility, and less of a concern for you, which I completely understand. If I cannot get ahold of him by the time of you bid expiration, then please either extend your bid, or re-bid, as I probably won't know until this evening. Also, FYI, I will not be available to unload this weekend, as I will be out of town. (I may have already told you that). Looking forward to working with you if possible. -Chris H. 6/3/2009Report a Violation
