Questions for this shipment: 

Question: We carry $1,000,000.00 of liability insurance and insure cargo at up to $50,000.00, at no additional cost to the customer. We transport all items in a 42ft enclosed carrier that has 110v lighting, climate control, and alarm system. The trailer can hold approx. 2000 cubic ft. of cargo at up to 35,000 lbs. I am an owner of the company and would personally load, drive, and unload. (11/9/2008)
Response: Thank you for responding - there are 8 individual machines that are not palletized - they are 185 to 220 pounds each - total weight approx approx 1500 pounds. Would entertain bid for shipping from Clyde KS to Port Richey Fl. thank you (11/10/2008)
Question: We will depart KS by this Thursday Nov. 13th and will go your route, with or without your job. Give us a price that is fair to us, yet one that you can be content with and we will go from there. We suggest you price a company outside of Uship, and then shoot a price to us that is less than that quote. We will then do our best to beat that price. Additionally, federal regulation requires special licensing called " authority" to transport items for money or "for hire" and there are a host of providers registered on this site who are offering services without this licensing. Whomever you hire, make sure you check their business name on the government’s website to determine if they are a legal carrier. If you hire an illegal carrier by mistake, your belongings could be put in jeopardy and reclaiming the items could become a great hardship and expense. You can save a lot by using Uship, but you also have to use some due diligence on this site and not choose on price alone. ~SAG Industries~ (11/10/2008)
Response: Thank you for following up with us. We use Southeastern Freight for all of our shipping - they have various partners - Dayton Freight would be the truck co that would have picked up this load. I get a 75% rate discount with SEFL - shipping this load PALLETIZED - from a BUSINESS address with a LOADING DOCK/FORKLIFT - 1500 pounds - $588.51 - I stressed the important parts of their quote - since the machines are 1. not on pallets 2. not at at business - they would have charged $100 more for a lift gate and residential. They would not accept unsecured load. Lastly I need to verify with the customer that I still have a deal as this has been going on for awhile - I will know today. thanks again. (11/10/2008)
Response: We will save you a little more than $100 over your regular carrier and do it for $585 if that works for you. Let us know before Wed if we are going to do the job and we will submit an official bid at that price. The 7ft x 8ft back door of our trailer folds down to the ground as a ramp so we do not need a forklift or lift gate. We would blanket wrap each machine and then use a hand truck (good to 600 lbs.) to push each machine one at a time up the ramp. The floor of our trailer is less than 12 inches from the ground anyhow so it should be somewhat simple. The floor of the trailer has diamond plate throughout so they will not be able to slide around. We would need to deliver before Nov 18th as we need to clear the trailer to load a $3600 job in Leesburg, FL on the 18th. Let us know, the sooner the better. We would like to head south as earlier as Wednesday if possible. We are presently at our base just outside of Topeka, KS, so pickup is convenient. Thanks, Erin & Jerry ~SAG Industries~ (11/10/2008)
