Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hi,We will be in Dallas Oct.17-18,would be able to do load it up and deliver in couple days for flat price 950.Please let us know if you are interested.Thanks. (10/14/2007)
Response: $950 is a great price but still more than he can afford. He is active Air Force, would that qualify him for a military discount? We have advised him to keep saving $ and will check back with you when he has more funds to spend on this project. Thanks (10/16/2007)
Question: I can ship around the end of the month if this works for you/your son, with a one/two day delivery window. Being a prior service Army guy, I know about low funds. I would normally ship this amt/distance for $700, but can ship with a 10% discount for military personnel, bringing it to $630. Let me know if this works for you. (10/16/2007)
Response: Please advise if you are going to do this by the end of the month. I responded to your question by accepting your bid of $630 but never got an actual bid to accept to get the process started. I am now getting cheaper bids and it is not fair to under cut you so I intend to honor our agreement however it is also not fair to hold the other bidders in limbo either so if I don't get an actual bid I can accept or decline by noon 10/26 I will start the process with another company. (10/25/2007)
Question: Hi there, do you still need these items shipped? Thanks, Marcos Figueroa (10/22/2007)
Response: Yes, I think I accepted your bid previously today, for $630.00. However with that being said, I am a bit confused re how this u-ship stuff is working. I believe you are with the firm that offered the $630 amount & there have been 3 questions (yours is the 3rd) but there never appears a button to accept or decline the bid. There is another listing that shows no questions & shows 1 non-active -they withdrew offer and then another listing showing lower amount (different than the $630) and a button to accept or decline. I haven't responded to that so please advise how I should proceed to accept the $630 offer if it's still available. Thanks, Air Force Mom & Wife. (10/24/2007)
Response: Hi there, Although that particular response wasn't mine...I'll honor the bid your ready to accept. We'd pickup the first week in Nov and deliver the following. You'll get an email in a moment stating that you have a new bid, in it will be a button to push to accept. Thanks, Marcos (10/24/2007)
Question: do you still need this service? (10/24/2007)
Response: I think it has been taken care of. If the other company cancels or lets me down, (no show or something) I will contact you. Thanks for responding. Air Force Mom (10/24/2007)
Question: Hi there, Marcos here again. I was just wondering if you would like me to get this done for you? It looks like you are trying to get a hold of the provider with the first offer (which is really cool and respectable). I just wanted to note that I see you have a lower bid, I'll match that in an effort to be competitive :) Thanks, Marcos (10/25/2007)
Response: Hi Marcos, Thanks for being competitive and even more, thank you for also holding yourself to an high standard of respectability and ethics. I have sent another comment to the first bidder who I feel honor bound to keep my agreement with but with that being said, at the time I didn't realize we were in the question answer mode versus having an actual bid. I just thought the reason I didn't get a screen to accept or decline was due to my computer ignorance. I have advised him to respond by noon tomorrow. If I haven't heard from him by that time then I believe I will have done all I can to be fair in regards to my error in that area. I will then evaluate my options and will choose from the actual bids on the site at that time. Please advise if you don't think this is the fairest way for me to resolve this mess I have gotten myself into. I also have to consider my stewardship role to my son since it is his money I will be spending. Thanks for your understanding. Air Force Mom (10/25/2007)
Response: Hi there, I very much appreciate the kind words. You are correct as to being in the Q&A mode. Many service providers (including myself) try and set up routes based one commitments made in the Q&A. Although, waiting is the respectable thing to do, you've waited more than what we service providers would ever expect. The biggest thing here on uShip is "Quick" communication. Many providers are utilizing smaller loads to supplement larger loads therefore being able to offer a much better rate (but are many times on a very tight time constraint to be able to offer their service). I do believe that your current plan is absolutely fair! I also believe your stewardship responsibilities are of the upmost importance! If you'd like, I would love to do this move for you and I will match your lowest bid. Although, I haven't bid yet, I'll honor my offer! Many service providers prefer not to bid until they have commitments here. Thanks so much, Marcos Figueroa (10/26/2007)
Response: Hi Marcos, Thanks for the clarification of my understanding of how this process works and for your patience in explaining to me. It would be nice if UShip had an explanation page and a question & answer section re the logistics of using the site in addition to the legal fine print to protect them in case of ?????. I would like very much to have you do the move so send me an official bid and let's get some pickup and delivery dates set up. Air Force Mom (10/26/2007)
Question: I sincerely apologize for taking so long to respond. I am still putting together my route for the end of this month, through the beginning of next month. By all means, if you need to go ahead and book someone, go ahead and do that. No offense taken. I am about a week away from organizing my trip and it looks like I will not end up where originally hoped. (10/26/2007)
Question: Hi! Do you still need this done? I can load this on Oct. 29th and deliver the next afternoon. All items will be pad wrapped/ shrink wrapped. I can do this for $507. I accept cash, cashier's check or money order only. Please let me know, if this works for you and I will submit my bid. If you have any questions about me, please check out my feedback, Thanks Todd (10/26/2007)
Response: Hi, I accepted another bid. Your feedback was great and you had the lowest bid however even though I did my best I was unable to make the time frames work for either the pick up or delivery. Thanks (10/27/2007)
Question: Do you still need this done? I am the cheapest price and it looks like Marcos is unavailable to do the move for you. If the dates I mentioned before work, please let me know, so I can submit my bid, Thanks Todd (10/27/2007)
Question: Hi, Do you still need this move done? We will be in the area, but what dates are you looking for pick up and delivery. Thanks, Marlon4127 (10/27/2007)
