Questions for this shipment:
Question:
WHAT KIND OF TRUCK DO YOU NEED? (5/25/2008)
Response:
Not really sure on size yet...I'm waiting on a couple other people...however the truck should be large enough to handle 10-20 55 gallon drums(loaded). To pick up from port of la or preferably port hueneme if possible. (5/25/2008)
Question:
is this recycle vegetable oil is going to be used on diesel engines??? (5/25/2008)
Response:
Yes. Not used for bio-diesel. (5/25/2008)
Question:
are these 55 gallon drums going to be on pallets?? If so, how many??? Would you need a flatbed or a dryvan?? (5/25/2008)
Response:
most likely a flatbed, looking at about 14 drums worth to start. Not sure if their going to be on pallets yet. Can you also deliver from port hueneme to camarillo? (5/26/2008)
Response:
That will not be a problem. Just would need to make a plan to pick up the product in which locations. (5/26/2008)
Response:
I am having a hard time getting in touch with our supplier, what would your bid be from Port Hueneme to Camarillo? (5/26/2008)
Question:
If your shipping from Port Hueneme to Camarillo I'll haul them for $550, door to door as long as they are forked on/off. I'm in Camarillo so you'll get a local truck. Let me know, I'll be on the road all day & will check back later to see if you want me to submit a formal bid for you to accept. If it works out I'll be willing to haul this type of load regularly if needed. Thanks, Brian. CTC79 (5/26/2008)
Response:
Brian, Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Yes please submit a formal bid. Have you picked up a load from Hueneme before? Any additional taxes? Or a fork-lift that the Lng-shoremen use? Can't do any better than 550? (5/27/2008)
Response:
I've hauled off the Hueneme port before but it was tractors before & nothing had to be forked on. If you imported the oil I'm guessing you had to go thru a customs agent & have got the proper paperwork to get your oil released right? If not dont send anyone over to pick it up, it'll be a wasted trip. Call & make sure it'll be released to a trucking co, ask what requirements they want (paperwork, etc) & go from there. When you import stuff, there's more paperwork then doing your taxes, it's a pain. Let me know what you find & we'll talk more. Thanks for the reply, Brian. CTC79 (5/27/2008)
Question:
Any updates on your veg. oil shipment??? Just curious what you found out about the port/customs situation. Thanks, Brian, CTC79 (5/30/2008)
Response:
Still working on it....thanks though...I'll keep you posted. (5/30/2008)
Response:
If all the drums pass customs & the dock broker wants an arm & leg to load the drums onto my trailer I can take a small forklift with me for under $300 if needed, just some FYI. All we'd need is where to pick it up & a release ticket then we could load ourselves & go. Let me know what you find whenever you find out. Brian,CTC79. (5/31/2008)
Question:
I think you made a error. $10,000,000.00 is your max price? (5/31/2008)
Question:
Hi, Green Truck Rental..... I go to CA once a month and could use some VO. for my truck. I could only ship about 7 55 drums at a time though..... Thanks (6/7/2008)
