Response: I have 3 puppies and one other big dog and one small dog. My son and I are used to transporting about 5-6 dogs at one time. The dogs won't be on the road for very long though as we drive through the night one night and that makes it a 2 day trip for most of the dogs. Flagstaff is 144 miles north of Phoenix which is are departure point to southern California for a drop off we would be having to back track 144 miles again to get on course. The additional cost would be an additional $ 40.00. 20 miles per gallon into 280 miles is 14 x 3.75 per gallon for gas. Mike (5/11/2008)
