Response:
I NEED TO HAVE BOAT PUT ON TRAILER AND DROPPED IN WATER ALL BY THE TRUCKER. (10/14/2009)
Question:
hello...let me know when you are ready...i have a 53ft. aluminum triaxle, 21,000lb. GVW trailer, that is equipped with electric over hydralic brakes on all three axles...i can easily handle your load and I CAN WET LOAD AND LAUNCH at both ends, as long as there is a gradual ramp near by...let me know what price would make this deal work for you...i know that there a lot of LOW BIDDERS out there, but make sure they have the equipment to handle your load, i do, and am ready when you are....thanks, james (10/18/2009)
Question:
Hi Shipper, Are you sure about the beam of your boat? There is a considerable difference in price between 8'6" and 9' as anything over 8'6" requires oversize permits for every state traveled in. Many will attempt to move your boat without, hoping not to get caught, but it will be your boat that is impounded if they do. Thanks (10/19/2009)
Response:
YUP 9' BEFORE I SHIP, I WILL MAKE SURE TRUCKER IS INSURED AND HAS PERMITS ETC... (10/20/2009)
Response:
I am sure having read some of the notes here, you have probably had all the promises and advice you need, but anyone moving your boat legally, in addition to permits, needs "BOTH" a Dot Number and a Motor Carrier Number. U-ship provides a place on every carrier's profile to post those numbers for all prospective customers to see. You can click on those numbers to be immediately linked to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrations web site where you can see their credentials, and authority. U-Ship suggests you should thoroughly check out any transporter. Without Federal Operating authority, your boat could end up impounded. We would like to submit a bid, but like some others here, we will not even attempt to compete with pick-up trucks and flimsy recreational grade trailers, and people who claim to have insurance but don't. We will be happy to give you a bid, but we only do legal moves. Thanks, Ron (10/30/2009)
Response:
THX 4 THE HEADS UP (11/2/2009)
Question:
Nice Boat. Hire a hauler with "Cargo" insurance, not just liability. Your insurance will not cover your boat while be hauled by a professional. After you book, have a Certificate of Insurance emailed and check for "Cargo" coverage. I see too many haulers bidding a loss when you consider what it truly costs to do this business legally, with insurance. (10/26/2009)
Response:
THX 4 THE HEADS UP. DO U HAVE A BID 4 ME? (10/27/2009)
Response:
I want to bid, but if I am going to loose money, I would rather go fishing. If someone is going to legally haul your boat for 1360.00, with insurance coverage for your boat, jump on it and then pray. The cost to legally haul a boat over 8'6" off Long Island is 400.00 minimum. I don't mean to sound sarcastic, but three years ago this job would have paid 3000.00, that's before everyone with a trailer hitch got into the industry. (10/28/2009)
Question:
Good morning dear shipper. Any preferences regarding the time-frame in December? What it would be a book it know price? Please let us know. Thanks (10/27/2009)
Response:
NO TIME FRAME YET (10/27/2009)
Response:
any price target that will earn your business to get it on the schedule? (10/27/2009)
Response:
GOT 1360.00 AND SHIPPER SAYS HE'S GOT ALL THE INSURANCES, PERMITS ETC... (10/27/2009)
