Response: Our feedback speaks for itself. We also have been scammed by the shippers on this site. From deadheading 400 miles to pick up a load & been told they changed their mind to hot checks & even counterfeit money orders. We are no different than any freight company. A customer either sets up an open credit account(takes about 3 business days to approve) or it is pre-paid. The deposit you refer to the transporter sees no part of. Response: We operate on such slim margins, particularly on this site, one bad pay takes the profit from the next three runs to pay for it. This is why we see a constant turnover of service providers on this forum. Uship is approximately 4% of our business, just fills in backhauls and deadheads. After trying the COD method and realizing we are not dealing with regular business customers here, we chose to operate as we do. We offer the credit card payment as this at least gives the shipper some recourse of something went wrong. This forum is only a load board. They accept no responsibility or offer any help for the shipments. I am sure you are totally legitamate, but our policy's have served us well.
