Additional Information: I would like to ship both my queen size mattress and box springs from Cleveland, OH to Vista, CA (san diego area). If allowable room, I also have a collapsable bed frame I would like to include if the price is right. I will provide the packaging, you provide the transportation from one home to the other. It will be a very simple, basic move for the cheapest bidder. Thanks!! Report a Violation

Question:
11/3/2008
$300 is not a reasonable cost for a resi-resi move of this type of item over that distance. Not by a licensed carrier anyway. Good luck! Report a Violation
Response: what would you suggest otherwise? i do have a budget on this, with a max of $400. 11/5/2008Report a Violation
Response: Sell the bed, save the shipping money and buy a new set out there. But if you do ship this then insure insure insure.11/5/2008Not in Violation
Response: How much would you suggest I sell the bid for? The bed is basically a brand new, orthapedic mattress/boxspring that I would be really bummed to leave behind. I'm going to try to get it out there unless it's going to cost as much as what the bed cost. thanks11/6/2008Report a Violation
Response: I have no idea what you paid for the bed. Perhaps you may find someone here to move it for a low price but again insure insure. Also you should wrap that stuff in plastic rather than relying on a carrier. Good luck!11/6/2008Report a Violation
Response: The bed is worth about $800. I've heard stories from other people that they were able to sell their bed for fairly cheap...around the $300 range. If it comes down to it and there aren't any bidders willing to get that for shipping it, I'll have to explore alternatives. I appreciate your advice though...just not sure how much the average bed costs to ship cross country like that? Any clue?11/6/2008Report a Violation
