Question: How will craft be loaded & unloaded? (9/13/2009)

Response: At pick up by fork lift, at delivery by either fork lift or travel hoist. (9/13/2009)

Response: I was reading some other responces. How do you want this transported if not on a boat trailer? (9/14/2009)

Response: A flat bed would work. I'm referring to the type of boat trailer you can just see part of in my photo of the boat - the ones all of the boats in your profile pictures are on. (9/14/2009)

Question: If you can buy the trailer there I can do it for $4K, the trailer is probaly about the $2500 discount (9/13/2009)

Response: The boat will be shipped without a trailer. (9/13/2009)

Response: Is the trailer the boat is on in the pic available? how much is it? I think I can save you the $ to buy it or I can buy it. Its not a good idea to move boats on trailers that are not set up for that exact boat (9/13/2009)

Response: The boat will not be shipped on a trailer. (9/13/2009)

Response: ok, I will get a trailer for it, Can it be picked up the 9/25? Would $6K total work? (9/13/2009)

Response: I do not want the boat transported on a boat trailer.
As to the other questions, lets wait until the bidding is over :) (9/13/2009)

Response: I dont understand, I will transport it on my trailer for $6K if I can pick it up the end of this month
(9/13/2009)

Response: I do not want the boat transported on a boat trailer - any boat trailer. It is unlikely that the boat will be available until the 30th of September. (9/13/2009)

Question: Hello shipper - we are located midpoint on the route from MD to WA for your boat. If you have some time flexibility on the delivery, we can pick up the week of 10/12, returning to our Minneapolis secure storage, and complete delivery some time in the next 30 days when we can combine with other work in your delivery zone. Please advise if this approach will work, if so we'll bid accordingly. MREBoatTransport Minneapolis (9/20/2009)

Response: Thanks for the question. I want the boat delivered as soon as possible as there is work scheduled to be done on it when it arrives. The delay you suggest doesn't work I'm afraid. (9/21/2009)

Response: Understood. I am placing a bid for delivery within the timeframe you specified. It is an all inclusive (fixed) bid, meaning permits and any transport related expenses such as roadway tolls are included. Please note that the boat would be transported on our triple axle marine transport, pictured in the profile. It has moved quite literally 100s of cruisers nationwide, including factory Pursuits from FL to Vancouver, BC... MREBoatTransport Minneapolis (9/22/2009)

Question: Hi Captain, I can load and transport mid week if interested. I dont understand the boat trailer issue. Review my feedback and equipment and if acceptable let me know and I will bid. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thanks Lex Flagship1st (9/25/2009)

Response: Hi Lex ~ my concern is "road rash" from an open frame trailer and rocks being thrown up hitting the hull etc. that's why I want to transport it on a flatbed.
The yard doesn't have any support other than a fork lift to load the boat. Please ensure your bid includes all costs [permits etc.] so there are no $ surprises.
Cheers (9/26/2009)

Response: Hi Captain, My trailer is open on bottom and has a tool box on front under trailer that would prevent a stone coming off the road from truck from hitting boat. A normal flat bed truck is going to be probably too tall for the height of your boat plus the height of the trailer. Are you going to shrink wrap the boat? You can have the wrap carried lower than normal to prevent some possibilities of stone damage. I have moved boats for 30 years and never had damage from a stone but I guess there is always a first. When you choose a transporter make sure they understand your wishes, I know most of the providers that have bid have normal boat trailers either commercial or Harry home owner versions. One more consideration against the flat bed is it is designed for lots more weight and not so gentle a ride as a boat trailer would give. If you want me to bid let me know but my trailer is open under and designed for commercial boat transport and not residential use.Update Monday or Tuesday. Thank (9/26/2009)

Response: Hi Lex ~ thanks for the prompt response. Ok, if you can pick up next week and deliver the following and are confident about the road rash issue lets go ahead. Having read your feed back it sounds as though you do a great job and I'd like to add my name to your list. If you bid again I'll accept and we can get going!

Response: Hi Captain, I called WA to make sure ferry cost or not WOW 575. before Oct 11. I will reduce the cost 575. for delivery to Anacortez. I will have to make application for travel permit to engineers office on ferry and can have in about a day for over size. Can boat be loaded on front of trailer or only on rear? Any insight will be appreciated. Please ask any questions you may have. Is boat ready to go now? Thanks Lex (9/26/2009)

Response: Yikes! Not sure of the relevance of the Oct.11th date. Does the price change after that?
Cannot take delivery in Anacortez as it is a new boat [even thought it is an '07] and needs to be commissioned by the dealer on Lopez.
Not clear on the question of loading on the front or back of the trailer - the yard it is being loaded at will have a fork lift and that's it. There will be limited assistance available. My guess is that it will be virtually identical to the 28 Grady that you transported.
Boat is ready to go now.
Your profile indicates that you can shrink wrap - is that possible/advisable - I've had different opinions. If it shreds in transit it can mess up the gelcoat etc.
Will you be using the GPS tracking?
Cheers ~ Al (9/26/2009)

Response: Hi Captain, The date is when rates change. If after that date the fee will drop by 60. not much but some. I will add something to the 53' trailer to complete the load possibly is the reason for interest in loading location but I will work that out. In regards to shrink wrap I have a company close to the boat that does my work on this end and can have them do it you like. Let me know if you want a quote to wrap. Loose wrap can cause a chafe if not caught quick. I watch for tears and repair but sometime you cant stop fast enough. You will be able to live track by GPS on your computer most of trip if you desire. Lex (9/26/2009)

Response: Ok Lex ~ if you confirm the pick up and delivery date I'll accept your bid.
I think I'll do it without shrink wrap.
And if you add to the load I assume you'll give me a break on the price :)
Cheers ~ Al (9/26/2009)

Response: Hi Captain, I will pick up before Wednesday afternoon and deliver in seven days. Your boat will take most of my trailer and my best hopes are only a fuel contribution. Lex (9/26/2009)
