Additional Information: Can lay down if you want and I'll pay for overwide permits, or I'll load w/ crane on Wednesday March 4 a.m. standing up on edge (11FT high) need a double drop or similar type to keep this from being overheight. That way we don't have to be overwidth lying down flat. Will unload with crane and wheel-loader in Texas. Will follow load all the way in, in order to unload it myself. I have Frtlnr. and Lufkin 48' but no USDOT (not for hire)and don't want to be hassled by the D.O.T. in every state. Looking for a empty headed back toward Shreveport, LA / Dallas, TX as I am between them. Report a Violation

Questions for this shipment:

Question: I have a flatbed and will take care of the permits if you can lay it down (3/1/2009)
Response: What would you charge for this service, laying down, me escorting, I have lights, flags, overwidth banners, etc. (not licensed escort if that is req'd anywhere on the route) I can follow you all the way in and can hook up one of my c.b.'s in my Durango for commo. I do make regular stops to stretch, but usually no stops for restroom or to eat....If you are closer to the target price than what I've been getting, and can assure that you will be in Atchison, KS on Wed. a.m. by about 10:00 we might have a deal. I have to drive up and see the removal of the side piece and electronics, so I can re-install properly, also have to be there to pay for the scales. You'd need $25,000 insurance for this load, nothing excessive. Will await your response before replying to other inquiries if not too long. Also, may be better to run south then east to MO 71 all the way to west side of Texarkana, TX hwy 8 to 155 south. I have never seen any peace officers working this route and have had hell with Okla (3/1/2009)
Question: [Direction Offsite NOTE: Once a bid is accepted, both parties’ contact info will be exchanged. –uShip] (3/1/2009)
Response: can u do the $1644 lying down at 11 ft wide permit on you, or do we have to do it standing up? I really don't like the standing up as much as lying down....how much would overwide permits be? (3/2/2009)
Question: DO YOU HAVE THE TRAILER UP THERE ALREADY, IF ALL YOU NEED IS A BOBTAIL I CAN HELP YOU THANKS EFRANCIS (3/1/2009)
Response: No, if my trailer was already in Kansas I would already be there as well... I would only need to get overwide permit and lay it down and come on. My trailer is to tall to stand the scales up to prevent the "overwide" situation. I can't get permit because I don't have USDOT, TXDOT only. (3/1/2009)
Question: I can do it for $1800 laying it down on my flatbed, and I would haul you and your durango for another $200 if you could load and unload it somehow. (3/1/2009)
Response: this is my first time on U-ship, I thought that the way it worked was that you put in what you want to pay, what your max would be in worst-case-scenario, and then people bid lower thann one another. Unfortunately, U-ship seems to show $1800 as mt "target Price" for some reason, when I'm trying to catch a truck already headed this way for 1,100-1,200 with me chasing if necessary. I can drive it round trip for $360 pulling my "heavy' trailer. I guess times aren't that hard after all, 'cause I haven't had a bid yet under the "max" that I should have obviously set at $900. I understand that nobody wants to work for fre but....whew! I can go spend $50 and change to "apportioned" plates and make the run if this is the best I'm going to get. Thanks anyway, I'll drop listing in the morning, it's 1:11 and I'm on my way out the door to shreveport so my daughter can have surgery. I'll sign off later..... (3/2/2009)
Question: [removed – unrelated to your services offered]i ended up doing it for $3 a mile. but it is your load and you have the rite to pursue happiness, please let me know if i can help you in anyway. (3/2/2009)
Question: You tell me when you want to move this with a 3 day notice, and I will have a stepdeck trailer there for you. Lay it down secure it and travel. No escorts needed if under 12' wide. My rate $1650 all included. If we load early enough in the morning (before noon) can deliver next day, Limited to daylite travel and routing for permits. (3/2/2009)
Response: My cargo insurance I carry for my own use -not for hire- is $300,000. Do I understand that you only offer $.060 per pound for my $25,000 replacement cost on the scales? Am I misunderstanding that? I've noticed it on other quotes, just wasn't interested in their quotes. I pay my insurance premium by the year, not the load, what's up with that? (Seriously, not being an a** I just don't know). As far as I'm concerned you've almost got the load, I promised the broker of A local driver, who lives nearby me, with a step-deck that I'd wait till morning and see what his offer was...I can pay him cash on delivery and no worries, hassles, credit checks, or bs. Let me know if you're insuring my scales for their value or not, I'll get back with you in the morning. This has taken entirely too long to get to your reasonably time-framed offer.........thanx...Henry (3/2/2009)
Response: All my trucks carry 1 million liablity and $100,000 cargo. Let me explain this, Your movement is not a big deal. The thing that makes a big deal is crane appointment. Once on the truck is the easy part. Under 12' no escorts needed.I move bridges that are 11'11" a lot. I understand your concern. This uship thing is nice but tough to communicate the details. My job is to take them worries away. If you pay anything more than $2.75 per mile you are paying to much for this load. Thanks Ron at Kalenberg Enterprise (3/2/2009)
Response: I accepted your bid but nothing ever happened. I had to go to bank to wire money the seller first thing this a.m., and missed your 10:00 a.m. cutoff by a few minutes........I requested a re-bid...same amount...same details are all good with me...I just need to go ahead and get this booked with you now. Thanks, Henry (3/3/2009)
Question: Hey Henry, Ron here with Kalenberg Enterprise. I hope I can earn your business. I move oversize loads every week. I will in the morning have a detailed cost of permits alone. My rate will be all included. Most of my guy's have is what is called an Anuall permit, They load and run through the states as needed. Again under 12' does not need escorts. Question: Henry, I have 2 trucks ready for 3/4 to load at 10am. I need to here from you soon or I will load them else where. I need to order permits that takes a day notice. Thanks Ron at Kalenberg Enterprise (3/3/2009)
Question: Ok Henry, I have a total for permits. My rate will be $1500 total to you. With that I pay permits, driver and anything else. Permits are as follows KS $36 OK $57 TX $96. Like I said before, I have 2 trucks ready to load but need to get going on the permit issue to make your 10am crane appointment. I probably gave you to much info here and Uship or some other jerk will REDFLAG me.Please check my profile and my company, I look forward to working with you. Thanks Ron at Kalenberg Enterprise (3/3/2009)
