Questions for this shipment:

Question: Are you sure this is a one piece slate table? (3/31/2009)
Response: I am not sure. It is a 55" by 99" Brunswick pool table and I believe it is one piece. However, I have never seen it without the felt so I'm not sure. (3/31/2009)
Response: I have been doing pool tables for 12 years now, and I have not seen a Brunswick model have one piece slate. So with that being said, I will now bid your job. I am very busy, but I have to move a table from Detroit to San Antonio by the end of the month. I will be in a box truck for that move. I can also move your table at that time. If you correspond with me for that move, then I can get a little closer to your bid. The mileage is what is making your max just too little, but work with me, and I will be flexible with you. Is that time frame good for you? Thanks, Brent (3/31/2009)
Response: That time frame would work for me. I found out from my sister (whose house it is currently at) that the slate is in pieces. Do you take the table apart and put it back together at the new location? Thanks, Kevin. (3/31/2009)
Response: Yes, that is all included in the bid, and if you desire you can also recover for a flat fee of $195 at time of move, and I have a full retail store at your disposal for any other gaming equipment of furniture. If you purchase before delivery, I bring to you with your table for no additional shipping. Just let me know soon though. I get very booked for moves of this nature quickly. I think I am the only "pool table mechanic" doing moves such as yours, so I can offer these prices if I can link the jobs together. Thanks for your time, and I know you will not be disappointed. Just read my few feedback, and you can see. Oh, and also, you do not have to pay anything extra for packing materials or insurance. I provide those at no additional charges. Brent (3/31/2009)
Response: You mentioned that you could be a bit more flexible if I worked with you on the dates. How much closer can you get to my price? Your service sounds exactly what I would like but my budget is strained at $1,000 and I cannot get to $1,400. One additional question, when you put the table back together, do you not put the felt back on? (or is the $195 just if you want new felt?) (3/31/2009)
Response: No, when we move a table we can reuse existing felt if it can be removed. The $195 is if you opt to have brand new cloth put on the rails and bed. If this is something you thought about doing, and you can work it into your budget the $195 fee is way below any recovery fee you will find. It includes Championship Titan Cloth in any color, and the labor to refelt. My normal recovery charge without a table move is $200 plus the cost of cloth being $15,0. I am just offering the service while the table is already apart at a discounted rate. If you do not want it refelted then you incur no more charges. You mentioned the table is at your sisters house, and she saw 3 individual pieces of slate. Does that mean the table is already broke down, and just ready to be loaded? If it is then I can lower my bid, but if it isn't....see I only bid $1300 to me, and the rest is my uship match fees. If it helps, I can accept credit cards through my store in Evansville, Indiana after we book the shipment. (3/31/2009)
Question: Can you have the pool table disassembled by a professional? It is much safer that driving it such a distance. Thanks. (3/31/2009)
Response: I was hoping that whoever moves it will disassemble since the pool table is at my sister's house in Lake Villa, IL while I am in Walnut Creek, CA, which makes it difficult for coordination. I was also hoping whoever moves it can reassemble the pool table when it gets to my house. Do you know how to disassemble and reassemble a pool table? (4/1/2009)
Question: Also, if you can get me any other business through recoveries in your area, or waiting for delivery for me to string more jobs, then I can alter the adjust the price accordingly. Also, to book you only pay a deposit (the match fees) when you book here, and I do not need final payment until we deliver. We can work out the details, and I appreciate being on a budget, but keep in mind my truck gets about 9mpg loaded, and you are traveling 2200 miles. My normal charges with one table are $.50 a mile from pickup to dropoff and a flat fee of $350 for tear down, move, and setup. You will allow time for me to get the other table in Detroit and move together, so I cut your rate a lot. I know it may not seem alot, but you should see the fuel bill for a move like this, and I am a professional with guaranteed expertise. Brent P.S. How close can you get to my bid...$1300 plus match fees? (3/31/2009)
Response: Are the match fees $129? I was hoping to pay under $1,000 but I understand you have gas expenses for the long trip. Would you be willing to take $1,100 plus $50 tip at delivery? I'd be willing to wait if you think you could line up more jobs where my price could drop below $1,000. (4/1/2009)
Response: Ok, just for you, and it is April fool's day and all. I will cancel my bid, and rebid at the $1100 with match fees included if you promise to leave feedback when we are done. Don't forget the tip, if you are happy, because this will pay my per diam to my worker on the way back. I am confident I will get more jobs, at least small jobs either to or from....After you accept the bid, then I will call you today, and try to let you know how the schedule is forming right now. Happy April Fool's Day, and talk with you soon. Brent (4/1/2009)
Question: Hey, and one more thing....make sure if you get a bid it is by a professional, and in a climate controled setting for the slate and cabinet. You definately do not want ANY moisture getting to the table at all....no open trailers or pickups....the cabinet will rot and the slate will warp!!!! Just a piece of advice...for what it is worth. Also, make sure no hidden charges, and you are getting complete tear down, setup, LEVELING, and hauling all for the price that is listed...Good Luck, and I hope to help you soon...Brent (3/31/2009)
