Questions for this shipment:
Question:
We can load both on our self load trailer, but since you do not have a trailer for the pontoon it will take a lift or forklift at both ends. Please check our profile and click on Dot & Mc numbers to make sure we are a legal carrier. Start at top with Dot and scroll down to Mc, will show inspection reports and active, inactive, none or out of service of the Mc number and ins on file. Uship recommends you check all transporters. When would you like this move? Let us know and we will see if we can work it in on your time frame and place a bid. Thanks (7/30/2009)
Response:
I've checked with both marinas and they have pontoon trailers that raise and lower. So if they can drive on to trailer of truck they can load and unload. I assume since both car and boat will be on same truck they can drive on. We would like it shipped as close as possible to Sept 10 2009. Does this sound like it can be made, (7/31/2009)
Response:
That time frame will work. Please look at pic's. The trailers or wedge trailers and you can drive on them. Could load the vett up front and the pontoon on the back. Look at the pic's with two wake boats on and that will give a better ideal of what they look like. Maybe let the Marina see them also. Let us know. Thanks (7/31/2009)
Response:
Looks like pontoon would drag on ground going up. Are the ramp distance apart small enough for a pontoon trailer to go up? They are usually narrow wheel spread. Also what is cost to ship if all is ok? (8/1/2009)
Response:
As you can see from pic's we haul a lot of pontoons. The angle of the trailer looks more extreme be cause of the slope. My only question is we always load and unload pontoons on their on trailer or loaded with a lift. Never had someone back one on and then drop trailer from underneath it. It would run 3900 (8/1/2009)
Question:
that kind of trailer will not work they let the pontoons hang to low to the ground will drag the pontoons going up the ramps and most of that type of trailer the wheel are to close together you realy need a boat lift let us no if they have (8/1/2009)
Response:
They don't have a boat lift at either end at this time. Is there any other way. Can you back the trailer into the water and pick up. (8/1/2009)
Question:
Good morning,we have a 50 foot wedge trailer that has long ramps and nice incline so vette and pontoon trailer will go up easilly,thanks,Mike.Cardinal517 (8/1/2009)
Response:
I talked to the marina they have a pontoon trailer that they can drive on to wedge. The big question is what is space between the two ramps on your trailer ? They think the pontoon trailer is narrower than what your wedge trailer is. Can you tell me what the dimensions are and I will check if it will work, If so I would like to get it shipped around Sept 10 no later. If this all works I would like your company to handle it. How does your insurance work ? Please advise (8/1/2009)
Response:
friend of mine has my wedge on the road at the moment so will need to check with him on that measurement,i think it will work...if not we have a winch on the trailer we could use to tow it up on skids...we carry 100,000.00 cargo with 1000.00 deductible and we can get it done in about a month if that works for you, thanks,Mike.I will get that measurement later today.... (8/1/2009)
Question:
As you can see from your Q & A everyone has a opinion on what will work and what not. We have never had a pontoon drag and I guaranty you know one here has hauled more than us. If you look at pic's you will see two loads of them on wedge trailers. Generally the manuf. loads with a lift and then we self unload. Those are 25' and 22' on the trailers. (8/1/2009)
Question:
our trailer is 39in. between the ramps so the trailer will need to be 39in. from inside to inside of tire and i no these trailers well and i dont no if other guys no how low they let the pontoons hang and go up backwards makes it even worst im sure we could maybe find a spot where theres a driveway to get the trailer very low so see how wide the wheels are and check us out under our name we are rated one of the top 5 for boats (8/1/2009)
Response:
I will check with our marina tomorrow and let you know. (8/1/2009)
Response:
ok sounds good (8/1/2009)
Question:
almost forgot our price $3684. (8/1/2009)
Response:
Is the width wide enough on the trailer for a pontoon trailer to fit the tracks of your trailer. They don't have lifts at either end. What are dimensions of space between track on truck? (8/1/2009)
Response:
39in. is the width of the tracks on trailer ramps are adjustable so the pontoon trailer needs to be 39 or wider inside to inside of tires and i lived in big bear in the late 80's i no we can fine a nice low spot to unload maybe we could even do a water launch if the ramp is write and water deep (8/1/2009)
Response:
The distance between tires is 44" Will this work? (8/2/2009)
Response:
yes that will work great (8/2/2009)
Question:
OK,got the measurements,44 inch inside to inside,27 inch flat ramps each side,97 and a half outside to outside...i think any trailer is going to have at least a 44 inch spread...probably quite a bit more, thanks again,Mike. (8/1/2009)
Question:
mite watch the one that says no one has hauled as much as them because backing up with this type of trailer pontoon will be dragging on the ramps way before the tires hit the ramps but it can be done with lots of boards and long ramps and a low loading spot we have been transporting boats and have also owned 2 boat repair and boat upholstery shops for 30 years and transporting for 20 years threw are shop and website under our other name and the only reason this is a little tuff is because of backing on if it could be pulled up it would not be so bad (8/1/2009)
Question:
i also have a 53ft wedge trailer that we haul cars/golf carts. My rear ramps are adjustable for any wheelbase.i can pickup/deliver your boat/corvette for 3900.00.please review my profile/feedback and let me know your thoughts.Thank you,Tim (8/2/2009)
