Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello Shipper, Would it be possible to load your forklift today 4/24 and deliver it Friday 4/25 between the hours of 8am & 10am? Are you sure about the weight? Do you know the lift capacity? Just to confirm, the lift is 12' tall? I have a lowbed trailer with a winch on it headed to the Bay Area tonight. Cost would be around $450 - $475. If that will work for you please let me know soon and I will submit a bid for you review and consideration. Thank you, Robert @ HTS (4/24/2008)
Question: Shipper, Would a ship date of Monday 4/28 and delivered Tuesday 4/29 work for you? If that will work out for you I will re-bid the shipment. Thanks (4/24/2008)
Question: Shipper, From the looks of your picture, your lift looks like it would have a lifting capacity of 8,000 lbs. Do you know what the capacity for lifting is? That will help determine the actual weight of the machine. And that in turn will help determine a fair price to transport your machine. Thank you, Robert @ HTS (4/28/2008)
Response: It is a 6000 lb B&B........ (4/28/2008)
Response: Thank you for your quick response. If the lift has a capacity of 6,000 lbs then as a general rule you can add 1/3+ of that number to get the machine shipping weight. I would estimate the weight at 9,500 to 10,500 lbs. unless there is a ID plate that reads the shipping weight. Do you have a time line for this to be done? Will a Saturday or Sunday pick up and delivery work for you? Thanks (4/29/2008)
Response: It is at a government yard and they are closed from Friday through Sunday (4/29/2008)
Response: Shipper, I see you have declined a few bids as priced to high. To get to the point, what do you think is a fair price for delivery? Thanks, Robert (5/6/2008)
Response: Hello, I had some early bids between 375-450.00 but they could not pick it up durring the week.......... (5/7/2008)
Response: With the huge jump in fuel prices if you can find someone to haul a 8,000+ lbs non running machine almost 450 miles for around $400 I would take it while the guy is still in business. At that price he won't be around for long. Good luck with your shipment. (5/7/2008)
Question: What time does this yard close on Thur? Would it be possible to pick it up Thue evening and deliver it hte nect morning? I could do it for $625. If this will work let me know and I'll submit the bid. Thanks, Jess (4/30/2008)
Question: I'll be heading north in the next week or 2 & can haul your dead lift for $900. Let me know if your interested. Thanks, Brian, CTC79. (5/13/2008)
Question: Shipper, Thank you for your bid request. In your previous writings you have stated that the lift must be loaded Monday-Thursday. Are there any restrictions on the delivery location? Is any other equipment available at the loading location to help push the lift and assist my winch (12,500lb Cap.)if needed? Cost would be around $800. Let me know your thoughts. Thank you, Robert (5/13/2008)
Question: Can this be picked up ASAP? If so I could do it in the morning for you. Look forward to your reply. Thanks. Jeremiah (6/27/2008)
Response: Hello. It is at a government yard and has to be picked up during the week. On Friday my contact is off.....so we can do it early Monday morning or any time during the week that we can schedule it. (6/27/2008)
Response: OK. Does the yard have another forklift to load this onto my trailer? (6/27/2008)
Response: Hello, They may but I would not count on it. It is one of those deals that you have to go see if someone can help. It is at a Waste water treatment plant. (6/27/2008)
Response: I can winch it onto my trailer as long as it can roll freely without running. (6/27/2008)
Response: That would be perfect. The tires are good and are large so they will get up the ramp well. The only other thing that you probably will need to do is jack up the forklift carriage. I usually just use a ratcheting tie down strap. It will lift it and hold it up if you want. (6/27/2008)
Response: OK. It is 450 miles. I charge $2 mile to haul this type of equipment. I will waive the $75 fee for having to winch it onto my trailer. Thanks. Jeremiah (6/27/2008)
Question: Hi, I am putting together a trip for this week. I can move this for you for 575.00. Let me know what you think, Paul (7/2/2008)
Response: That would be perfect.......... (7/2/2008)
Response: Ok cool, I placed a bid. Thanks, Paul (7/2/2008)
Response: Great......We will confirm the bid in a day or so but you have the job..........It is at a city yard and has to be picked up during the day. They might be able to help load it. Do you have a winch? The tires are up and it will roll easily. We are going to bring it here to the house in Pleasant Hill so we can get it running.....Do you have any idea what day you want to pick it up? (7/2/2008)
Response: Sorry to be a kill joy but I made the bid to last only one day. I am sure the city yard will not be open on Friday July the 4'th which means I will have to pick it up tomorrow. If I cant transport this, this week than I would not be able to do it until after the 1'st of August. I have a surgery scheduled for next Wednesday and have to make sure I am back here before than. Sorry, Paul (7/2/2008)
Response: Let me see what I can do......It will probably work out. (7/2/2008)
