Questions for this shipment:

Question: would you be loading and unloading ? (8/30/2008)
Response: Yes, the hay can be loaded and unloaded. (8/31/2008)
Question: How many bales can you fit on a 48'flatbed or stepdeck trailer? I can give you either trailer. all included $5500 plus $150 if load needs to be tarped. (9/2/2008)
Response: Hi Unfortunately, it is not economical for this to be an entire load but would need to be a part of a larger load as anything more than $2500 would not be economical. Sorry, I should have put a target price in the ad. Thanks for responding. Jill (9/2/2008)
Question: hello the price i gave you is very reasonable for the load how much higher then $2500 are you willing to go i might be able to find you a driver . i do know it will be very hard to get this shipped under $3800 because of it being a whole truck load if you want to split it i might be able to find you a better deal with one of our drives please let me know (9/2/2008)
Response: Hi I just can't go higher than $2500. That is already turning a $4 bale of hay into a $10 bale of hay! It would be better / more economical for me to just leave the hay behind than pay more. I could send 100 bales for $400 if someone (or in smaller increments) has a little extra room here and there... Thanks for checking it out and trying to make it work. Best, Jill (9/2/2008)
Question: Hello, are you still looking to move your hay. We have an enclosed 28ft. trailer heading out your way. What size bales are we loading. (9/7/2008)
Response: Hi there Yes, I am still looking to find someone. Bales are actually on the smaller side -- most about 35-45 pounds -- with maybe 50 or so being 50+ pounds. When are you headed out there? Thanks for exploring this!! Jill (9/7/2008)
Response: Well, I'm not sure how many bales I can get loaded into my trailer. My best guess would be between 300 to 400. Not sure how you want to figure out a charge for this. (9/7/2008)
Response: How would you feel about charging per bale ... say, $3 per bale ... we could do a minimum of $1000 if that helps. (9/7/2008)
Response: Not sure if I can make this work unless there is a full load. The fuel cost to reach your address are close to $850.00 alone. Let me try and figure out how much hay I can get in the trailer. So we have a closer number of bales to work with. I will be in touch later today. (9/7/2008)
Response: Hi there, Did you ever have a chance to figure out what might work? Thanks much, Jill (9/9/2008)
Response: Hello there, we can take 400 bales for you, but we will need $1500 to make the trip. We aren't sure if there will be any other room to help make up the cost. I hope this will work for you. Have a nice day. (9/9/2008)
Response: Hi there, Please let me know soon if you will be sending me a bid ... If you are sending a bid, will you be helping load and unload or do you need me to supply people to do that? Thanks, Jill (9/10/2008)
Question: Hello Jill, I can haul you hay in increments of app 400 bales per load and would be willing to do it for $2000 a load, we may be able to nogotiate around backhauls and other shipments after the first load. I have 3 years eperience hauling hay on the eastern seaboard. I also have references available. If this sounds like some you may be interested in let me know. (9/10/2008)
Response: Hi there, Thank you for checking. I THINK I have someone who will haul 400 bales for the $1,500 target price but the official bid has not come through yet. Bales are mostly smallish -- average about 45-50 pounds. Many 35-40 pounds and a few may be 55-60... If you think you could haul for $1500-$1600, let me know ... most likely we will need two loads of 400 bales so I might be able to use both of you. What's your timeline like? Thanks for checking with me. Best, Jill (9/10/2008)
Response: Hello Jill I could do it for 1550. im available starting next wednesday until the 1st of october. Let me know so that i can arrange for backhauls thanks J (9/10/2008)
Response: Hi there ... Can you clarify if your bid is for loading and unloading as well or just for hauling? The 1st will be the first day the shipment can be delivered ... will that work for your schedule? (I arrive on the 30th but probably not til late afternoon) If that delivery date works for you, when would you prefer to pick up the hay? It can be any time up until the 29th (just not the morning of the 29th). (9/10/2008)
Response: I will HELP load and unload. I could pick it up on the 26th. does it need to be tarped? THanks J (9/10/2008)
Response: Hi Let me just make sure I can get help on the Santa Ynez end. It shouldn't be difficult BUT I don't know anyone in the area that can help with the unloading. The hay will need to be tarped if it is not going into a covered trailer -- one good rainstorm would ruin it otherwise.... I will get back to you once I know about help. The 26th would work perfectly. Best, Jill (9/10/2008)
Response: thanks Jill Looking forward to working with you J (9/11/2008)
Question: I would need to know bale size and weight to give you an exact figure on how many bales I could haul for you in one trip thanks J (9/10/2008)
