Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hi, Would your machine be ready for pickup this Thursday (Aug 6)? Regards - Jeff. (8/4/2009)
Response: Hi Jeff, It's not mine, but I bought it from someone so can't confirm Thursday works however I assume it wouldn't be a problem. (8/4/2009)
Response: Thanks for your quick response. Could you check with the seller, and find out if Thursday works? Thanks - Jeff. (8/5/2009)
Response: I'll get you an answer ASAP - Thanks. (Today obviously) (8/5/2009)
Response: Thanks. (8/5/2009)
Response: Ok - Talked with the shipper and she said it's her husbands day off tomorrow and they can do it. However they have one appointment tomorrow and would have to work around it. It would be best if I have you contact them directly but I don't have a price from you yet so please advise. This is my first time using Uship so bear with me on the procedures. The pinball game is about a 1980's machine that can be broken down to have the head separated from the cabinet. It is a matter of 4 bolts and a couple plugs to do so. It will reduce the weight in half so much easier to deal with. As I understand the game is down stairs and will need to be carried up the stairs, however if the game is split in to 2 pieces its pretty easy. Let me know price and etc., and I will give you the details for pick up. I also have a game in Edmonton looking for transport if you can work this into your operation? You can contact me at [phone number removed] “NOTE: Contact information cannot be p (8/5/2009)
Response: Hi, Any time on Thursday would be fine for picking up the Winnipeg machine... and I would like to pick up the Edmonton machine as well, on the 11th or 12th. If you can provide a bit of loading and unloading assistance, I will pick up and deliver both machines to you in Surrey, on or before August 14, for $1200. Please let me know if you would like me to put in a formal bid. Regards - Jeff. (8/5/2009)
Response: I am waiting for some competing bids which should come in much cheaper. This may take another week or so to arrange as it is a major carrier. To try and speed up the process since you are ready to go, I would pay $750 for both machines delivery. (8/5/2009)
Response: Thanks for your quick response. Best of luck with your transport. Regards - Jeff. (8/5/2009)
Response: If I am totally wrong on the rate and it is near where you are I will come back to you. Thanks for your efforts. (8/5/2009)
Response: Sure, keep me posted. Regards - Jeff. (8/5/2009)
Response: Jeff are you still interested in this? I believe you offer more value than I can get elsewhere. (8/7/2009)
Response: In a word, yes. (As it turns out, I am still in Winnipeg - getting a window replaced after somebody broke into my van.) I now plan to leave Winnipeg late Sunday afternoon, on a pretty tight schedule. If 1) you can arrange with the Winnipeg seller to provide 2 guys to help load on Saturday (or Sunday morning), 2) you can arrange similar loading assistance for the Edm machine for Monday evening, and 3) you can take delivery in Surrey late Tues evening or early Wed morning (depending on when I arrive), then let me know - and I will put in a formal bid at $1200. Regards - Jeff. (8/7/2009)
Response: I am positive the game can be carried by two people once it is apart. It is easy to separate the head from the cabinet - 4 bolts. Would guess the game cabinet without the head will be about 150lbs max and the head about 50lbs. Is this OK for you? I have called the guy in WPG but only got the answering machine so can't confirm this yet. Have called the guy in Edmonton and he says Monday is no problem. Tuesday/Wed is no problem for me. In my opinion the WPG pick up should be OK only because the people have been very nice to deal with to date, so assume the will continue to be cooperative. However I can't confirm it yet. Will continue to follow up with them, and advise. (8/7/2009)
Response: Sure, we can experiment weight-wise with the Winnipeg machine. (Winnipeg is my home town, so if it turns out to be unmanageable with just the seller and myself, we should be able to round up some extra help). Otherwise, sounds good. Please advise asap when you get in touch with the vendor in Winnipeg, as I am also trying to coordinate a kinda tight schedule on my east-bound loads, once I drop off your machines in Surrey. (Grrrr... this break-in has blown away all my usual scheduling safety-margins, and now I'm needing to scramble to get things back on track.) Regards - Jeff. (8/7/2009)
Response: So you know you shouldn't be more than 20 minutes at my place in Surrey. Just to help with your east bound schedule. Will be in touch on WPG pick up as soon as I get word. Thanks, Don (8/7/2009)
Response: Sounds good, Don. Keep me posted. - J. (8/7/2009)
Response: Hi Jeff, I was playing hockey but the shipper left a message saying he is in town and just needs to coordinate a pick up time with you as he is in a ball tournament not too far from his house. So we are good to go. So send the bid over and let's get it done. Thanks for your patience and help. Don (8/8/2009)
Response: Hi Don. I submitted the bid yesterday evening, and have yet to hear from you. Is there a problem? Regards - Jeff (8/8/2009)
Response: No problem - never saw it? It's coming now. (8/8/2009)
