Questions for this shipment:

Question: We are interested in bidding on your shipment but have a few questions first. What type of hitch does the trailer have, ball or pintle? What type of brake system is the trailer equipped with? Also wondering what your budget is for this move? Thank you for your bid request and consideration of us for your transport needs. (8/12/2009)
Response: Thank You for your response. It is a 2-5/16 ball hitch and is actually 13'9" tall and 18' long. Tandem axle with electric brakes. I hope this may be something you may still be able to handle. Thanks Again, Steve (8/12/2009)
Response: Steve, we prefer not to handle any loads over 13'6" since some states require permits for more than that height. If the height could be brought down to that then we would gladly bid since we are based just out of Klamath Falls and this load would take us almost to our doorstep. Our Dodge 1-ton dually could handle the load and we might reconsider it if you have problems finding a transporter but only if it was understood that any needed oversize permits would be in addition to the bid. If you have any problems covering the move and wish us to reconsider bidding, request a bid and we will see what we can do. Thank you for your time and consideration. Steven Harrold Transport (8/12/2009)
Response: Steven, Thank you being up front. The permit costs would be covered. We would just need copies for final payment. We would also like to know an estimate on the states they are required and approximate costs. I was also just told that the weight is 14,000 lbs, not 12,000. I'm still taking bids. Let me know if you are interested. Thank You, Steve (8/13/2009)
Response: Steve, Maria @ Steven Harrold Transport here. After some checking we understand the route this needs to go would have no oversize permits required. We will keep an eye on this load and if it looks like we will be in the pickup area in your timeframe we will for sure get back to you about doing this as a backhaul. Since we are presently on our way to Florida and have another load lined up for the return west we are not sure how soon we could get back to WV to meet your pick up dates. When would the trailer need to be to its destination? If pick up and delivery dates have a little leeway we could probably make it work. Thanks for the good communication and your consideration. (8/13/2009)
Response: Hi Maria, I am trying to confirm the required delivery date. I believe we will have flexibility on pick up as long as we can meet the delivery date. I will let you know as soon as possible. Thanks for the response and be safe out there. Steve (8/13/2009)
Response: Thanks Steve! We will do our best as long as all the other drivers on the road co-operate. Maria (8/13/2009)
Question: Hi Steve, thanks for the request. I could probably handle this load for you but the weight you've listed is my max capacity for hauling with my biggest truck. As you've stated in your description a dually 1 ton would probably be best for this haul through the routed terrain. If the actual weight is less I might consider placing a bid. Good luck. (8/12/2009)
Response: Thank you for the reply. Actual weight is right at 12,000. I appreciate you checking. Best wishes, Steve (8/12/2009)
Response: OK, like I said; I could probably get it handled but I'd prefer to pass as the weight is more than I want to haul through that route and terrain. Happy shipping. (8/12/2009)
Question: when do you need this moved (8/12/2009)
Response: It will be ready to ship on September 8th. I was originally mis-informed on the dimensions. It is actually 13'9" high and 18' long. It has a 2-5/16 ball hitch with electric brakes. Please let me know if you are still interested. Thank You, Steve (8/12/2009)
Question: i,am still intersted in your shipment when do you need it there (8/12/2009)
Response: Joe, It is not something that would require a team but does need to deliver as soon as possible. Thank You, Steve (8/13/2009)
Question: Still able to meet the dates that you are requesting. Have an 06 Dodge Dully have hauled simular weighs before and does great. My bid is $3500.00 looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks for your time, Shane with S-N-L Transport (8/12/2009)
Response: Shane, I was just informed that the trailer weight is 14,000 lbs, not 12,000. Would that still work. Did you also see that it is 13'9" high? Steve (8/13/2009)
Response: yes i can do.but with wieght it will take more fuel so i will bid a bit more $3100.00 hope it will worke thanku! from s-N-L transport (8/13/2009)
Response: Happy Monday. I believe $3100.00 could work. I am just waiting for final authorization from our customer. This is a very important move for us. Do you have any other questions or see any potential obstacles that could prevent this from being completed as agreed? I'm not doubting your capability. I just want to make sure all bases are covered. Thank You, Steve (8/17/2009)
Response: Hi Steve, This is Shane with S-N-L Transport. Just wanted to see what the pick up and delivery dates are for sure. We can be flexible. I also was wondering if the trailer has a spare tire or if I will need to throw mine in I assume that it is industrial 8 lug. I do not forsee any problems. I carry tools just in case however our equipment is in top shape. We also have a 10000 dollar cargo insurance. Just waiting on date confirmation so that we can plan out our trip. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks Shane (8/17/2009)
Response: Shane, There is a spare and I know 2 of the tires are new from the trip out. It will be ready on the 3rd or 4th but I figured no one would want to be on the road over the holiday weekend. It needs to deliver by the 16th. Steve (8/17/2009)
Response: Sounds good! Once finalized I will get pick up address and destination address. Hope to meet you on the 8th of September. Looking forward to working with you. Please let me know if you have any other questions all is good on this end. Shane (8/18/2009)
Question: where pick up at i will do job 1.00 amile (8/13/2009)

Response: Shane, I am just waiting for a final confirmation on the ready date before I accept your bid. At this point all is a go. Please pencil it in and I will confirm just as soon as possible. I would like to meet you as well however, the trailer is at one customer going to another. I won't be at either site. After I accept your bid I can give you my number and if you happen to get to Portland maybe we can get together. Steve Thanks for working with me on this, Steve (8/21/2009)
Question: CONSIDER 2975.00 WITH A SMALL DEPOSIT UP FRONT. (8/23/2009)
Question: Steve,Do you still need this shipped?Let me know.I will come down to 2900.00.thank you,Tim (8/24/2009)
Question: HI Steve, I have done some measuring and the pallets will fit in my bed. Because of the two pallets I would increase the bid from 3100 to 3250. If this works for you please let me know and I will re-bid at that rate. Thanks for your time. Shane (8/24/2009)
Response: Shane, Plan "D", They decided we don't need to ship anything extra with the trailer. It is still a go for pick up on the 8th. Even though I have not made it official, I feel somewhat committed to you and I appreciate your communication. I have received a couple lower offers, $2975.00 & $2900.00. Please let me know if you can still make this move and if you may have any room on the rate? Thank You, Steve (8/26/2009)
Response: HI steve. i will still do the haul for 2950.00 hope it works for you thank you for keeping us in mind it. will be pleasure!!! shane with S-N-L (8/26/2009)
