Question: Hi there, Is there a possibility that you would be ready to transport before Sept 1? (8/20/2008)

Response: Hi,
Thanks for the question in response to my ad.
My mare is presently at the breeders and we are waiting to make sure she has settled in her pregnancy. I will know in the next week whether or not she is pregnant. If so, we could ship by Sept. 1st.
Can you tell me alittle about your shipping company? Do you specialize in animal transporting? Would she be traveling with other horses?
If pregnant, the mare will require gentle handling and a smooth ride. :o)Thank you!
Wendy (8/20/2008)

Response: Hi there, You can click on our user name and it will tell you more about us. You should be able to see our profile. My husband has been handling horses, cattle, etc. for 28 years. He worked on the King Ranch in Texas for many years. He has experience in delivering foals and calves. Our trailer has cameras with sound on board. Hopefully this has been helpful. Looking forward to your response. Thank you. Patty & Steve (8/20/2008)

Question: Forgot to mention that we have hauled numerous pregnant mares and our trailer is custom built to haul pregnant mares. Our goal is always to give our clients a stress free and smooth ride and give one on one care. At this time we are not certain if any other horses will be on board. We are working on put a trip together. (8/20/2008)

Response: Just received word my mare is pregnant and can ship anytime after Sept. 17th. Is there a possibility you could ship?
Thank you!

Response: Hello, We're currently on the road heading to Iowa. But sometime the 1st week of Oct, we will be leaving Oregon again on another road trip. Not sure as of yet which directin we'll be going. We're waiting on a couple of confirmations going the same direction. I don't know if you can wait or how long for answer on whether or not we can transport for you. We'd love to meet your transport needs. Let us know what you'd like to do. Thanks Patty (9/15/2008)

Response: Hi Patty,
I will have to check with the breeder to see how long they are willing to keep the mare. I would prefer you as the hauler, as you have a wonderful trailer for transporting and experience with pregnant mares. She is in her first month and I don't want to take any chances with her and baby.
Thank you!
Wendy
PS...What would be the charge? (9/15/2008)

Response: Hi Wendy, That sounds like a good idea. Then we both can get an idea if this time frame will work for both of us. Have a great day. Patty (9/15/2008)

Question: My load just got moved up to next week Sept 8th If your ready to ship and I can ship for $390.00 (9/6/2008)

Response: Hi,
Thank you for writing. I don't think my mare will be ready for transport until the middle of Sept.. The breeder is scheduling a vet check to see if she is pregnant this week.
I greatly appreciate the note.

Response: Mybe I will be in the area when your ready to ship check with me then Thank You Jeff (9/7/2008)

Response: I received word this weekend that my mare is pregnant and will be ready to ship after Sept. 17th. Please let me know if you could possibly ship.
Thanks!
Wendy (9/14/2008)

Response: Wendy Im glad your mare caught. I am heading east in a few days, and will not be back in Oregon until the 24th or 25th. Will stay in touch if I can help you I will. thanks, Jeff W. (9/14/2008)

Response: Hi Jeff,
Just thought I would let you know I received a bid, yesterday, for $400 to ship my mare from Scio to Kuna, Idaho. Shipping would be Oct. 3rd. Don't know if you would be available for the same time and what kind of bid you would put in. Wanted you to know. I need to make a decision this weekend.
Thanks!
Wendy

Response: I have to go to Pa this week coming. Im try to put a load together when I get back in 2 weeks. If you still need a ride for her then I will do it for you. Thank You Jeff W (9/19/2008)

Question: I'm sorry Wendy, I forgot to answer your question. We charge $1.00 a mile, but can negotiate alittle. The love and safe handling of your pregnant mare is so worth that. We have just successfully delivered several pregnant mares cross country both ways. They arrived in excellent condition and stress free. Again I hope the time frame of pickup and delivery will work for both of us. We would consider it a priviledge to transport your mare and baby safely. Looking forward to your response. Patty (9/15/2008)

Response: Hi Patty,
I will write the breeder this evening and inquire about the timing. I am sure she would want her transported by the 1st week of October.
I have been quoted from $350 to $390 for hauling from Scio to Kuna, Idaho. I am thinking that is around the $1/mile. Yes...momma and baby's safety is most important. I hope this all works out!
Thank you!
Wendy (9/15/2008)

Response: Hello again, I noticed Uship is saying it is 501 miles truck route and 518 common route. Are you figuring from another resource? Just thought I'd bring it to your attention. Patty (9/15/2008)

Response: Hi Patty,
Please keep me posted. October 3rd is a Friday, which would be a perfect arrival date for me. I remember you mentioned the 2nd or 3rd. Also, did you decide on a cost?
Thank you SO much!
Wendy (9/18/2008)

Response: Hi Wendy, Our quesstimate time will be Friday the 3rd starting out on this trip. We would give you a quote for $400. We can't go any lower. We do have to take in consideration for gas and personal care for your pregnant mare. This is a good deal right now considering Steve charges quite a bit more for special needs horses. Hopefully this helps get her and baby moved. Let us know. Thanks Patty (9/18/2008)

Response: Hi Patty,
I think this is very reasonable, considering we now have a Momma and she will like the pampering and low stress ride...I appreciate your willingness to help me out...very much appreciated!
This is my first time at using uShip. Do you put in the bid and I just say yes or no? I get paid on September 25th(week from today) and will be able to pay then. Please let me know.
Thank you, again.
Wendy (9/18/2008)

Response: Wendy, We do have to put a formal bid in for $400. Then you accept it. Our contact information will then be given to each other, so that we then can contact one another by phone and make final arrangements. Yes the 25th will be fine. I will put a formal bid in now. Patty (9/19/2008)

Response: Hi Patty,
I just got all the information on the stable in Kuna, Idaho, where you will deliver the mare. Also, the stable owners phone number, etc. I will do the deposit and entering in all the information on Sunday. Wanted to make sure I had everything correct first.
Thank you for your patience!
Wendy (9/20/2008)

Response: Your welcome. Haven't heard from you tonight. Maybe tomorrow? Patty (9/21/2008)

Response: Hi Patty,
I went in, today, to do the "paperwork", and it wanted the deposit of around $80. I would feel better doing the deposit when my work check is deposited the night of the 24th. So, by Wednesday night I will put in the paperwork and deposit. If I can figure out a way before then, I will do it.
Thanks for your patience.
Wendy (9/21/2008)

Response: That will work. (9/22/2008)

Question: I think you have already arranged transport but if not we are returning to UT on Oct 5th. Our trailer is tall and wide for your large lady and fully padded and air ride for her safe transport. The price would be $400 as well. Congratulations with your new baby! (9/19/2008)

Response: Thank you for your kind note. You are second in line if the first plan falls through (don't expect it will, but just in case I need an alternate plan). Your trailer sounds perfect, too.
Wendy (9/20/2008)
