Question: I am headed to nashville and it would be inside an E-350 van. Would want to pick up this week and deliver Mon. Would this work? Have restored a # of classics, therefore understand the importance of protection. (11/2/2009)

Response: The seller is available Tues & Thurs before 11:00 and Wednesday all day. Would any of these time slots work with your schedule? Moving it inside a van would probably be ideal. And these hardtops aren't heavy, they're just difficult to move with one person. Hopefully, the seller will help you load and I can help you get it out. I ordered one two weeks ago and it arrived via ups badly dented- so I'm dealing with a damage claim from them. I think it'd travel fine on a thick blanket or similar. I think the problem before was that it was so wrapped up, they had no idea which end was up. So it took a knockin'. I like your philosophy and your view on life. If this can work with your schedule, I'd be happy using you. Lemme know! Derek Littlefield (11/2/2009)

Response: I am in Daytona and weighing the cost of driving ove to pick it up then back. Thanks for your response and I will probably make a bid soon. Enjoy your day and Journey. Donny Liles (11/3/2009)

Response: Would it work out better for you if you could pick it sometime this weekend? The seller is free all day on Sunday and can leave work for an hour or so on Sat. to help load. The seller sounds very helpful and honest and would probably be a good guy to deal with on your end. Lemme know! Thanks! (11/3/2009)

Response: I am probably going to place a bid, do you still have the need for shipping? (11/3/2009)

Response: Yes, I still need shipping as I won the auction. Is there room in the van for another hard top? The seller is offering me and extra one without glass for free. If there is room, what would adding an extra cost?
Thanks! (11/3/2009)

Question: i can haul both inside an enclosed trailer for 296....never had a claim on my ins...... (11/10/2009)

Response: When do you estimate pick up would be? And I revised the measurements as that was an issue before. These aren't heavy, just hard to handle with one person. (11/10/2009)

Response: pickup within ten days... (11/10/2009)

Question: Shipper do you still need this hauled ....I am based in Ocala Fl and Going home to Knoxville for Thanksgiving If I had help in wrapping these two tops I could bring them both For 250.00...I could go down and pickup anytime and then just leave from Ocala to head your way...If this would work for you let me know soon trying to put load together to go north.... Thanks Stumpy (11/14/2009)

Response: Yes I still need them shipped- and that's the price I was hoping for. Can you fit both tops? How will they be shipped?. The seller said he'd help load- if you have any blankets- foam, I'm sure he'd be happy to help you wrap. I'm not in a hurry to have the tops. The main thing would be to find a time convenient with the seller- he's pretty flexible. But I'd like to at least get them outta the sellers hair asap. Lemme know. (11/14/2009)

Response: Shipper I think these two tops could be wrapped together in blankets or foam then in plastic and then in cardboard then they will be stable and will be strapped down in my pickup they should arrive unharmedwith proper packing I have some supplies here I could bring with me and If you would Like to kick in maybe an extra twenty five or thirty to cover supplies and packing time I think this would work and get you both tops safely...let me know and I will be glad to bid and I could even go pickup today or Sunday....Thanks Look forward to your business...Stumpy (11/14/2009)

Response: Would the tops be insured? Sounds like a good plan packing-wise. It seems like Pat- the seller said he has company this weekend- so whatever day works for him next week would be ideal. Also, do you know what days around Thanksgiving you'll be heading this way? I'll probably be out of town one or two days that week. Lemme know. Derek (11/14/2009)

Response: Derek, I normally haul boats and camper trailers I'm sure My regular Ins. would cover these...I can go any day this week coming up that would be convienent with Pat when you except the bid we could work all those details out ...I just want to be home the days before Thanksgiving so I'm flexible with your schedule I was thinking after our last response I might even make a 1x1 wood frame around tops then cover with cardboard what do you think...I have a screw gun and the wood is cheap at homedepot...Stumpy... let me know and I will bid (11/14/2009)

Response: I'm not really sure how the frame would configure inside a truck bed, but that might be ideal to keep them separated- not sure. I'm open to whatever ideas you may have. My thought was the one without glass could go in backside first, then cover it with padding, etc. Then the good on could go in nose first and it's underside could sort of rest on the top of the other one. Not sure if this would dent the glassless one or not- but it wouldn't be the end of the world if it did- my main concern is the good black one. Though, it'd be nice if the bad one arrived in good shape as I have a spare glass. Shoot me a bid, I'm game to get this show on the road.
Thanks! (11/14/2009)

Response: Derek, my bid will be as follows 250.00 for the tops and 30.00 for the supplies and time...and will be done on your time frame we can dicuss after the bid... Thanks Stumpy (11/14/2009)

Response: Sounds good. Just give Pat a buzz tomorrow and see what works with him as far as pickup goes. He's a super nice guy. And we can figure out the best delivery date after you get the tops. One more thing- if the second top doesn't fit. Let's go with the one and can we adjust the delivery price? Also, do you just want the balance in cash on delivery after I pay the initial deposit through Uship? (11/14/2009)

Response: let me reenter my bid for the actual shipping of 250.00 and you can reimbers the supply cost (11/14/2009)
