Question: What exactly are you requiring? Is dismantling, transport, hauling, loading, unloading, and setup required? Is there any stairs involved with either location? IS THE SLATE HEATED???? With changing your "max" payment to $1500 for this job, I HAVE to have more information!!!!!!!!!! Also, I noticed another table at the same location going to WA....can both shipments be correlated together. I am a professional pool table mechanic that owns a retail store in Indiana for the last 12 years. I know how much this table requires, but I need some communication about the details from you! Response: The table is fully taken down (dismantled) for shipping, so it needs to be packed, picked up, transported and set up in Los Angeles. The table is heated but you do not have to do anything because it stays with the main frame of the table. The table is 4 slates, not 3, but on uship it does not allow you to put 4. They are VERY HEAVY. There are no steps in either the pick-up or delivery location. They are both ground floor. I am sorry but I don't know anything about a table going to WA. (4/5/2009)
Response: I know the heating element stays with the mainframe, and I am very familiar with these tables. They are very heavy. Appartently this seller of these tables are liquidating these tables on Ebay. There is another table from there as well now going to L.A. now too. Goto Find Shipments at the to page, and on the side click on special care items (the little box) a drop down will show only pool tables. The WA table dropped off, but now another one to L.A., so that makes 2 of you buyers in L.A. contact your seller, and see if he can combine shipping at the same time with you buyers, and I will bid accordingly. Because of the table being not "usual and customary" and requires "special care" I normally discount $100 for dismantly, but not with these! The table is very specialized as far as pool tables go. I will give you my best price to get the job though. To add setup to the bid, I will not add my usual $295, and will make it up for $195 with no recovery. If you wnat recovery it will be $195. Response: We can work within what ever dates you desire. We are specialty movers, so basically I route the guys to the next string that looks like I can get the most out of fuel mileage. We do not run a "regular" route. I do know that I have to have the guys in Detroit and Chicago by the end of April to move 2 tables, one to San Antonio and the other to L.A. I would like to have your table on that truck to maximize time. They are finishing up this week a 2 week run out west from the east coast, so I will have to give them at least 2 days home before they go out. Due to the nature of the move, I will be able to give a pickup date, but delivery will be a process. We will keep you informed during the move, but as far a definate delivery date that is flexible. See we never know the condition of the install till it plays out. I can explain all the what fors when we actually become a booked shipment. That is when we get contact info from Uship, and they collect our match fees. You do not pay pickup. (4/6/2009)
