He bid on Uship and I sent the money $5,950 and drove the bus to Mid Atlantic Terminal, 2700 Broening Highway, Baltimore in November and the bus can't be shipped and I am taking up the case with the courts. This is a second short at this Uship. Can you take $7000.00 to ship this bus form Baltimore, MD to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania with all costs included? I will take care of the port costs and Customs in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. All I need is to get this bus over to Africa for an orphanage project.

Response: i empathise with you,especially,that your reason for the shipment is for a good cause.i ,also,spent 2 months looking for this booking for a client,who wanted to ship a reefer van to northern brazaville through tanzania,i got the space and then he couldnt trust the friend,whom he chose to receive the shipmemt in Dares salaam,unless he could travel there,but he couldnt travel,because of his job.I still have booking from New york port.the rates have real gone up,so,7000 is low for the size of vehicle and a route is tough to get a boooking.it took me 2 months to get this.thanks (3/25/2008)
Response: I have frequent flyer miles and I will fly to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania to clear the bus and get some drivers to take it inland to Nkhotakota-Lilongwe. Malawi where the orphanage is. I have already spoken with a freight and customs clearing agent in Tanzania, thanks to G.W.Bush trip there, to get me the drivers and cost estimates for the shipment.
$7000 is all I have budgeted for this shipment. If I am to raise more money to meet your quote then it will take more time. I am working with the church here in Chicago.

What is your business DOT number? Can I prove its registration, physical address and phone for doing business, eligibility to do business?
When payment is made to the carrier or Vessel, how do I verify that the carrier has been paid up front without the popular use of COD which frustrates alot of shippers when it comes to claim their shipment from the destination port?
I am very sorry to sound too cynical but once
beaten twice shy! I can not take another failed shipment at this time. I will lose it!
I need all this informatioin to verify with Better Business Bureaux, US DOT Inspector General and Federal Marine Consumer Affairs department.

Response: if anybody accepts this offer from you,he intends to take you for a ride like the last shipper,Tanzania is not a common route, cost of shipment is usually high and shipping lines don't give us the chance to negotiate.thanks anyway. (3/25/2008)

Question: THE PROBLEM WITH THE MID ATLANTIC IS THEY HAVE SUSPENDED ALL OCEAN TRAVELS TO AFRICA.THEY HAVE A BIG SIGN POSTED STATING THIS IN THE TERMINALS.IT STATES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.THAT MAY BE THE PROBLEM.I WISH I COULD HELP YOU BUT YOUR ENDING DESTINATION IS NOT REACH ABLE AT THIS TIME (3/25/2008)
Response: When you said you had space on the carrier, where is the carrier going? You also wanted to change the Dock receipt to my particulars, can you ship this bus or not? I can bring the bus to New York or any port in the eastern coast of your liking, that is not a problem. The challenge is the honest carrier and the reasonable cost.
