Question: Could your painting go earlier? Pick up for June 1 or 2 with a delivery June 4? I have bubble wrap, micro fleece, packing blankets, and shrink wrap. Is this in glass or only on a frame? (I'm a painter as well- acrylic and oils- so am experienced in wrapping and shipping. Thanks!! (5/28/2009)

Response: Sorry, no. I am not quite finished with it. As a painter you know of course that plastic, bubble wrap, shrink wrap or peanuts cannot touch the canvas. It is not framed so the acrylic paint is exposed all the way around as well as the surface. I am hoping for a double corrugated box with metal framing to keep the canvas from toughing any surface. Thanks for bidding. (5/28/2009)

Response: Ahhh...yeah. It makes a BIG difference if it's not even finished yet...lol. Even though acrylic dries rather quickly (compared to oils), I know the varnish and sealer takes a few days at least. Well, if you don't get anyone to take your canvas by the end of the month, I have another trip coming up then. You can request a bid by clicking on my name and going to my profile should you need me. Thanks and good luck to you!! (5/28/2009)

Response: Thanks so much. I hope to get it to my client by the middle of the month as they have a party at their home on the 26.
Is your name proudleo? And I would find you in the Shipping Directory? (5/28/2009)

Response: Yes, my user name is proudleo and my shipping name is Mother and Son. In the directory, you'd search by my shipping name unless you click the link for "search by user name". If you still have THIS ad up, all u have to do is click on my name and it will take u to my profile where you can request a bid. (5/28/2009)

Question: I am going to haul a load that goes to Amarillo early next week. If I could pick your item up , and deliver it for $200, 2 days after I pick up, would that work for you? (6/5/2009)

Response: My painting is of course quite large and not packaged. It would need to lay flat or stand on it's side, secured with no other objects around it. I would need to know what kind of vehicle you have, it there air conditioning and what other items will you be hauling that could possibly harm this canvas?
The painting is not actually finished, but hoping to get that done by Sunday or Monday.
Delivery needs to be afater the 8th and by the 13th, so yes that time frame would work if it is finished.
Thanks for your bid. (6/6/2009)

Response: I have an 07 chevy 2500HD crew cab truck. That should fit in my back seat. (6/6/2009)

Response: Are you thinking about leaning it on it's side? Will you be able to see out of your rear view mirror? What other type of items were you hauling along with this painting? (6/6/2009)

Response: The back seat is not big enough, but I can still haul it in the bed of my truck. I will first pad the canvas, blanket wrap it, completely cover the blanket in shipping tape, and then wrap it in a tarp, and properly secure it. It will be perfectly fine. I also have a night vision camera to monitor the bed of my truck and I can leave it on so I can monitor the status of the canvas for the trip. If this would work for you, I can do it for $250 cash upon arrival in satisfactory condition. Thanks and let me know. (6/7/2009)

Response: I THINK I WILL LOOK FOR OTHER OPTIONS, BUT THANKS ANYWAY. NOT COMFORTABLE WITH CANVAS BEING IN BED OF THE TRUCK (6/7/2009)

Question: Would there be help loading and unloading? I can deliver flat inside my Suburban. (6/6/2009)

Response: You won't need help. It is not heavy just large. But if you would need help the owner could provide that for you. Flat in a Suburban would be great!
It is not quite finished, but hopefully by Monday evening or Tuesday morning I need this painting delivered by the 12th of June. The time frame changed and I need to edit my posting. Does this time frame work for you?
(6/7/2009)

Response: OK, keep me posted on the schedule. I may be able to work it in.
Thanks (6/7/2009)

Response: I have come down with a terrible cold, so timing will be tricky, but I will let you know. Tell me again how you transport. (6/7/2009)

Response: OK, hope you get better soon! As for transport, laying flat in my Suburban.
I will place a formal bid.
Thanks (6/7/2009)

Response: OK, now I remember! Hopefully I will be able to finish by tomorrow or Tuesday. (6/7/2009)

Response: Are you still wanting to ship this?
Thanks (6/8/2009)

Response: I sure do. I am feeling much better today and hope to finish the painting today. I will need to seal it and vanish and then let it dry real good. Is it possible for you to pick it up on Thursday and take it to Amarillo by Friday or Saturday?
If all things come together and I accept this bid how and who do I pay? How do I insure this piece in the unlikely event something happens to it?
Being a painting, it really should not be wrapped in plastic, however if I need to I can get some
brown paper to wrap it. Or possibly throw a light weight moving blanket over the top just to protect it from any possible damage . What do you think?
Thanks (6/9/2009)

Response: Hello,
I will have to re-bid first. Yes, I can pick it up by Thursday-Friday and deliver by Saturday. As for payment, it can be 50 percent on pick up with the balance due upon delivery, COD, etc... You can pay via PayPal, but I prefer cash or Postal money order. I am checking on insurance.
I will go ahead and re-bid.
Thank you (6/9/2009)

Response: Yes, please re-bid and we can make arrangements. It is possible You can pick up on Wednesday evening and travel on Thursday if that works better for you.
If I understand correctly, Uship will take a certain amount of the $263 and you get the balance. I can pay you 50% when you pick up and the client can pay the difference when you deliver. I will need to know what that amount is so I can them them to get a money order or cashsier's check.
Thank you so much. (6/9/2009)

Question: On another note, I believe a blanket may be better than paper. I used to paint years ago, not positive as to which would be better. I take extra precaution on all my shipments (regardless of what they may be).
Glad to hear you are feeling better! :0) (6/9/2009)

Response: Do you have a light weight blanket to use? I think you are right. (6/9/2009)

Response: Yes, I have blankets...coming out of my ears. Wednesday evening pick up might be difficult (but not impossible). I have some work I have to finish in New Braunfels on Wednesday. Thursday or Friday would probably be better for me. I will work with you the best I can to deliver on your schedule. And yes, 50-50 is fine. We can arrange all that once the bid is accepted.
Thank you (6/9/2009)
