Freight description: Pick up pallets of cardboard and misc. prod materials from Burlington, KY on Wed July 22. Pickup will need to be either morning to 12 noon depending on how prep goes. There are 2 stops. 1st will be Daytona Beach, FL where some will be off-loaded and a little placed back in, and then on to Edgewater, FL to off-load the rest into another van. We are trying to arrange a forklift at a truck facility to do the final off-load but can't guarantee that. It might be pallet jack to other van.

Questions for this shipment:

Response: Shawn, I'm basically looking for a 53' truck (covered) to haul all of our assets back to Florida. Not sure of height of standard trailer but that's what I need. Could you quote? Thank you. (7/8/2009)
Response: the height on the inside of 53' is 102 inches and if you are shipping something that is 120 inches you need a step a deck and that's going cost more let me know if that's what you want: shawn at global shipping (7/8/2009)
Response: hey shawn. I just need the standard height. sorry about that. error on my part :) also, wanted to let you know that when it gets to daytona it gets half unloaded, then 35 miles south to get the cardboard off the front end of tractor. 1/2 load is palletized cardboard. (7/8/2009)

Response: It will fit a standard 53' enclosed tractor trailer. I apologize, I don't know the height of those things. Also, needs to be insured for $50,000 of contents. 2 stops in florida, one 30 miles south of the first one. (7/8/2009)
Response: Insurance is no issue, we automatically cover $100,000 with excess available if needed. What do I need to do to earn this load? Thanks, Jody (7/8/2009)
Response: Hello Jody- At this point, we don't know if your trucker will need a pallet jack with him/her or not. We will know later on as we get closer to the date of drop-off. We have a low bid of $2000, but if you can do this for $2100 and you have a 53' trailer this job can be yours. If so, please revise your bid. Thanks so much. (7/10/2009)
Response: Shipper - I do not have a problem "shaving some of the price" however the pallet jack could be an issue as most long haul drivers do not carrier them as to have maximum space in the van. Please let me know if you okay with driver not having a pallet jack with him/her and I will rebid. I will certaintly try to request a driver that will take one with; however I can not guarrantee it. Response: OK Jody- Please request it (pallet jack) from the driver and we will try to make the final (large) drop off from one trailer to the next at some place that there is a forklift. We personally don't really want to be transferring from trailer to trailer via a pallet jack in stifling July heat either. FYI - The first drop off will be hand unloading about 40 boxes (8" x 8" x 8') and a few poly "bedliners". When we get to the 2nd drop-off in Edgewater is where the majority of the work will be done.
