Additional Information: I am looking into costs and logistics of shipping one van-load of bulk (approx 8,000 lb per full 40-ft van) carton or pallet freight from Medford Oregon to San Luis Obispo, California per month.

I will consider buying a van, which would require one round trip per month, with very flexible return scheduling (there would be no back-haul freight).

Alternatively, LTL shipments could be made on your rig weekly or so. This will be an ongoing shipping requirement. Report a Violation

Response: Well, at this time it looks unlikely that this will become a job for us. If it does, however, it will consist of low-density finished goods packed in gaylord boxes, about 8,000 lbs, and about one 40- or 48- foot van load in volume per month. Non-hazmat, regular bulk freight stuff. (3/12/2007)
