Response: I apologize, but I'm not sure what else I could do, given the short time-frame involved. I need to get a response ASAP from the transporter who is going down to SoCal this weekend, and be able to co-ordinate with the seller who is also waiting to find out if he needs to go pick up the bike from his other garage. For all I know, the transporter won't even get the message to him after hours, or be able to reply in time, nor do I know if this form works after office hours. I apologize for using my e-mail; I'm certainly not trying to cheat uship out of their cut or give one shipper any advantage over another, just trying to deal with a time-sensitive matter in time. If I don't manage to get the information from the other shipper co-ordinated with the seller, and the bike can't make this weekend's run, I'm perfectly happy to go with you or anyone else at this price, sometime later than this weekend. -- Robert (8/23/2007)

Response: Thanks for the response. Yeah -- someone reported my message to UShip and I got red flagged. Seems pretty pissy to me, considering all I was trying to do was expedite communication in case these forms don't get processed quickly or after hours. Since this is the first bike I've had shipped, and since all of the big transporter companies I called said I needed to give them 10-14 days advance notice, it seemed like this offer to pick the bike up this weekend was too good to miss out on because of slow message exchanges. It looks like that offer isn't my only shot after all. I'm still waiting on the seller to get back to me, and then I can finalize this project. Thanks -- Robert (8/24/2007)
