Questions for this shipment:
Question:
This is one cool panel. (8/12/2006)
Response:
Thanks! (8/13/2006)
Question:
Hi, Please check my driver profile and feedback. My home is in Fallbrook (north San Diego County) I am a single car carrier specializing in classic, custom, exotic and special need cars and light truck (I am also a street rodder) I am licenced and insured. I use a 06 Ford F350 dually with a custom 18' OPEN single car hauler trailer. I do have a hard cover (flat) on the bed of my truck. I could secure most anything loose that could be blown out or damaged by wind or rain. The truck itself would have to be on the open trailer. I have a load this week to north of Seattle. I could swing back by your pickup place in Idaho on my return trip and deliver directly to you. I must be back in San Diego by the 21st. My normal fee is $.90 per loaded mile. I can beat that for a backhaul. Please leave a positive response to this mail ASAP so I can place a bid and put the trip together. Thanks for the consideration. Jim "fearlessfossil" JAL (8/13/2006)
Response:
Jim, I'm very interested. It's great that you can secure the items in your pickup bed. My panel has no glass so if you can tarp it or seal the windows to keep rain and dew off of the seats we can make this work. This will work if I can have a delivery by the 20th, I can't be here on the 21st. Jim (8/14/2006)
Question:
Hi Jim. First, I am sorry, the fellow with the 98 pickup to near Seattle backed out of the trip so now I have no north bound load. A lot of time, bothering other shippers like yourself and then find a shipper that was just playing a game. I am a little afraid of the open air on your seats etc. I just brought a 29 Desoto to SD from St.Louis with no windows, I tried to seal with shrink wrap, that did not work, I stoped enroute an bought a car cover, The only one I could get was cut for a 31 Chev, and it promptly tore. I just looked at the profile for The folks from Reno that have left you bid.(aaatrans) There price is certainly right and their trailer is enclosed. There feedback is great. Don't let them get away, accept there deal and get your toy home. I do thank you for the response and I am sorry to let you down on my end. I am a MOPAR guy, (30 Plym roadster and 31 Chry 4dr and 56 F100) I will look for your truck in the area. Jim "fearlessfossil" JAL (8/14/2006)
Response:
Jim, Thanks for the info. Good luck to you. I was looking forward to meeting you. Jim (8/15/2006)
Question:
Thank you for the input on us Jim,Fearless Fossil. We're into playing with the old stuff, too. We have a 58 Ford panel that's getting all the drivetrain out of a 76 Lincoln. Our pet is a 67 Chevy p/u with a 454 and 400 Turbo, anyway thanks for your input. We answered your question on the panel, Jim. We'll wait to hear from you. Thank you, Al & Katie, AAA Transportation Services. (8/16/2006)
Question:
Is shipping on an open trailer out of the question ? (8/17/2006)
Response:
Riverman, The reason I felt I needed a closed trailer is that there are boxes of parts and a extra transmission in the back of my panel truck. Further the truck has no glass in it but it does have new leather seats in it. I don't want to lose any of the parts and I don't want rain or dew to damage the seats. I recently heard from a guy thatsaid he tried to cover a car he was trailering and that the cover got torn up by the road wind. He then said he didn't feel safe trying it again. Do you have any suggestions for bringing this truck down from Idaho that will address my concerns? Jim (8/17/2006)
Question:
Yes. it should be in a enclosed trailer. Thank you (8/18/2006)
Response:
Thanks anyway. (8/18/2006)
Question:
Hi just got the load going S. looks like the first of next week 8/20 are intersted. (8/19/2006)
Response:
Next week does not work for me. Since my truck has no glass and it has a new leather interior it must come down here in an enclosed trailer. (8/19/2006)
Question:
Im picking up a enclosed car trailer in portland It is empty, the owner has given me the ok to load it. aslong as i dont damage it. this mean no oil leaks ect. it is going to the San Diego area. see my bid from Bulldog Transport (8/19/2006)
Question:
