Question: Hi, I got your response via email and seems as if there might have been an issue with the other posting. I am able to work within your time frame, though Saturday the 14th would be preferred. Thanks for updating the inventory: I calculate that you have around 450 cubic feet needed. For this amount my bid would be $2500. Keep me posted. Ironically, I am in Philly right now! STeve (10/17/2009)

Response: Hi Steve
Thanks -- yeah I don't think they've got the kinks worked out of this site.
450 cf seems about right --$2500 seems a little high are you able to lower that a bit?
I don't have a problem with the 14th pick up date but we'll be leaving on the 19 and driving across with our animals probably won't be arriving until the 24/25 -- will that cause a drop off problem?
thanks
Tina (10/19/2009)

Response: I could probably go to $2350. Though you may find a lower price please take in to consideration feedback and also the details surrounding pick-up. I work directly with your dates in mind as opposed to a block of days/weeks. Since you aren't leaving until the 19th, I would pick up a bit before then and drop around the 25th, give or take a day, or two. The 24th would be realistic as Thanksgiving is that weekend and flying back to Cali could be a nightmare. Let me know! Steve (10/20/2009)

Response: Hi Steve
yes good feedback is really important. I think 2300 sounds reasonable. I have a guy coming out to look at the house and things that need moving today -- I can let you know how that goes (Would you be able to see the house before giving a firm estimate?)
and yes it wouldn't be a problem if you dropped off any day after the 25th.
Thanks
Tina (10/21/2009)

Response: Unfortunately, the site is designed to operate solely through this means so our contact info won't be released until bid is placed and accepted. Being that I operate out of Cali, and spend much of my time in Walnut Creek, I would be able to come out before the move and advise/check out. Just to clarify on the drop, would the 24th be possible? That Weds. is the busiest travel day of the year, the day before Thanksgiving so this might make arrangements on pretty tough. STeve (10/21/2009)

Response: Hi Steve
actually I meant that after the 25 (like 26,27,28,29)
We're not in a hurry to get the items -- the pick up date is more important. I think the 24th would work too it's just that we are driving cross country with our animals and I'm worried that if there is any delay on our end it will cause a problems.
Our goal is to have the items picked up a few days before we leave on the 19th (so we can clean and whatever) and get the items a few days after we arrive.
thanks
Tina (10/21/2009)

Response: Hi Tina, thanks for the response. Since I am based out of California, San Luis Obispo, I am planning to be home for Thanksgiving so that is why I am hoping to drop off on that Tuesday, Weds at the latest. If not would have to fly back from LA to unload after Thanksgiving. Since, Philly/Newark/BWI/IAD are all so close to Philly I can really fly out of anywhere but would hope to be done by Weds, at the latest. I can definitely pick up whenever you need Thanks! Steve (10/21/2009)

Response: Alles klar.
I don't think there would be a problem as long as we don't have car/weather troubles. Since we'll be driving the same way I guess we could just make sure to stay in contact - since as far as I can see the only problem would be if you were there to drop off and we were stuck some place.
Tina
(10/21/2009)

Response: Yep, weather would be the only problem, but if that were to happen then we would both be hit by it and I would be taking Thanksgiving dinner at the closest shelter/church! Yes, that is clear. STeve (10/21/2009)

Response: opps I'm sending this twice to keep it in the thread (sorry 'bout that)
Hi Steve I think we finally are getting ready to accept a bid but I have a few more questions. 1 - do you have helpers to load and unload the furniture (we don't have much in the way of heavy furniture but some of it definitely does need more the one person) 2- about payment. I'm not clear on how this works but I can't believe you want full payment before delivery. Also I spoke to my husband and we think we could arrive by the 22/23 would this be better for you? I think your bid might expire before we can confirm -- if so can you re submit it? thanks Tina (10/26/2009)

Response: I'll have help on both ends for (un)loading. As for payment I work on a 75/25% payment plan, first after loading and second at delivery. It's a huge cost to front to do it otherwise and I have been burned in the past so this is the way I operate. I understand any hesitancy but my feedback speaks for itself. STeve (10/27/2009)

Question: Good mornin Tina, we just finished up a move from S.F. to new york and the price was $1900, we will be out and delivering in San Carlos around the 9th and we can pick urs up and deliver to philly within 7 days for the same price, if this timeand price fits for you plz let me know and i will put in formal bit thanks Rich, plz ck our feedback (10/19/2009)

Response: Hi Rich
This sounds good. the one question I have is about arrival timing -- We will be leaving the 19th and driving our animals cross country should be arriving in Philly on the 24/25th -- would that mess up your delivery schedule?
thanks
Tina (10/19/2009)

Response: what we can do is pickup and then store in a storage facility then delivered to you in philly, we can pick up on the 9th or 10th and then bring when you are ready, thanks Rich (10/19/2009)

Response: Hi Rich
I don't know if you didn't put in a real bid (where we just talking?) or did I let it expire (this site is a little confusing)?
Could you bid again if you are still interested.
Just to be clear there is one flight of stairs in the pick up house (although most of the boxes will be in the garage - no stairs) and one/two flights in the drop off apartment (the apt is on the 2nd floor but the apt is bi-level with the bedroom upstairs -- there is a 2nd entrance to the upstairs area) <-- if this affects your bid
thanks
Tina
(10/26/2009)

Response: Ok Tina placed a bid for you to consider, pickup 13th or 14th, delivery 22nd to the 24th no problem plz ck our feed back and let me know if this works for you thanks Rich (10/26/2009)

Question: would you like me to put in the formal bid so we can get this locked in and set for you (10/21/2009)

Response: I think I replied the wrong way.
We need a pick up date between Nov 15 and 17 -- can you do this? and delivery after the 22.
If yes please put in a bid
thanks
Tina (10/26/2009)

Response: hello tina Is there anyway of pickin this up on like the 13th, the delivery would be fine no problem, I do have a cpl things I can do before picking urs up, plz let me know thanks rich (10/26/2009)

Question: Hi Tina If I can deliver on the 22nd then I can lower my bid since I won't have to wait 2-3 days as was earlier projected. Please let me know. thanks thzig (10/26/2009)

Response: Hi thzig
I just want to be clear that your bid includes loading and unloading the shipment
Just to be clear there is one flight of stairs in the pick up house (although most of the boxes will be in the garage - no stairs) and one/two flights in the drop off apartment (the apt is on the 2nd floor but the apt is bi-level with the bedroom upstairs -- there is a 2nd entrance to the upstairs area) <-- if this affects your bid
please let me know
(hope i didn't send this to you already)
thanks Tina (10/26/2009)

Response: Please read the bid details. "Loading/unloading and blanket wrap of furniture is included". thanks thzig (10/26/2009)

Response: Hi Thzig
thanks clear about the (un)loading part now.
The bookshelf in the photo is actually 2 sections somewhat ikea like about 4' x 3' x 10" <-- those are the ones I listed as small the other bigger bookshelf all comes apart almost like boards except for the center piece that is about 2 x 2 x 8 (I'll see if I can upload another pic)
now another thing -- this morning my husband told me he'd like to add his car to the move (Toyota prius) can you do this? and how much more would you charge? note I'm not 100% sure if he will do this but now he has mentioned it twice so I just want to get an estimate
Tina (10/27/2009)

Response: Hi Tina and sorry for my belated response. My Blackberry was not cooperating.Regarding the car. Your in luck since I am hauling a car from NY to Sacramento so I have the car carrier which I have to return to NY with. I have placed some bids for some cars that need to go east. An average price is around $900+/-. If we combine the car with your load I will do the entire move for $3000. Let me know and I will place this new bid. thanks thzig (10/27/2009)

Response: ok last question. you say you have a car carrier but what is that exactly? does that mean the prius' wheels are off the ground? (this sounds wonderful so there no wear-n-tear on the car)
thanks (10/27/2009)

Response: Yes! all four wheels off the ground. If you look at my profile/feedback page you will see a picture of the truck with a car on a car carrier. (10/27/2009)

Response: cool! thanks so much. I'll accept the $3000 bid now. (10/27/2009)

Question: Hello Tina, we placed our bid for you. If there anything we can do to make your decision or the move easier for you, please let us know. Thanks Rich. (10/26/2009)

Response: Hi
great -- I just want to clarify the dates -- do you still need to pick up on the 13th and what about dropping off? we should be arriving on the 22/23 -- will you be able to deliver then?
Also about payment -- how do you want to do that?
thanks
Tina (10/26/2009)

Response: Tina, the 13th would be preferable as for delievery it would be at your convience. As far as the payment goes we usually require 50% paypal, check, or cash ten days before pick up to lock in dates. If there's anything else we can do let me know. Thanks Rich (10/26/2009)

Response: one more question -- this morning my husband told me he'd like to add his car to the move (Toyota prius) can you do this? and how much more would you charge? note I'm not 100% sure if he will do this but now he has mentioned it twice so I just want to get an estimate
thanks
Tina (10/27/2009)

Response: Hello Tina, does it need to be towed? or can it be drivin? Thanks, Rich (10/27/2009)

Response: towed or put in the truck.it would go with the rest of the move.
thanks (10/27/2009)

Response: To take the prius it would be an extra 400.00, it would be up on an auto transport behind the truck. (10/27/2009)

Question: Does the book case come apart in sections? Your picture is a little fuzzy. (10/26/2009)

Response: oh ignore what I said about the bookcase the one in the photos is the big one and yes it does come apart.
