Special Care Item Listing Information
  • Oak dining table
  • Description: Oak table with attached leaves. Top can be removed.
  • Length:70 ft.
  • Width:41 ft.
  • Height:31 ft.
  • Weight: 100 lbs.
Packaging:
Depending on type of truck and loading, can be blanket wrapped, boxed, or crated. It just needs to be protected from being dinged or crushed.
Special Handling Instructions:
Can be dropped off at curb. If it is brought inside the house, it is a short driveway with 3 steps to inside house. Currently located at a consignment shop.
Additional Information: I am not sure about the loading at the pickup location. I will contact them July 5th to get a description of whether they have a loading dock or not. The picture of the table in the middle it the only thing I need shipped. It is shown here with the leaves extended, but they can be tucked in so the top dimensions are 70 inches by 41 inches. I have been told that the top can be removed by lifting off, but I don't think the legs and apron can be broken down. This is an old, possibly antique table and no metal has been used in its manufacture, so there are no screws to take out etc. I guessed on the weight. It is a solid oak table. Report a Violation

Questions for this shipment:

Question: I will be traveling that route th 14th of July, I am in the military and on vacation. I will photograph or videotape prior to pickup to verify condition on pickup is same as on delivery. I just need to know the exact measurements in inches and the shape of the table. Can the legs be separated from the table top? If so I am sure I can do this for a very reasonable price. Thanks, MRFISHAHOLIC (7/3/2007)
Response: The dimensions of the top are 40 by 70 with the leaves tucked in. The height with the table top on is 31 inches. I have been told that the top comes off, but I don't think the legs can be broken down from the apron as is common in newer tables. I think the legs and apron have to stay put together. What kind of vehicle would you be using to move this table? Thanks for inquiring about this shipment! (7/4/2007)
Response: I would be placing it in my RV. I am going on vacation from Texas to Olympia WA, so enumclaw is not a far jaunt out of the way. What is your target price? How flexible are your dates? I will be leaving on or about the 14th and arriving on or about the 23rd. We have one stop in N. Dakota, to see my grandfather hence the slight delay from a straight on trip. Please let me know if my dates will work for you. (7/4/2007)
Response: Your dates are fine though the 22nd would be even better. However, I work in Lacey, so maybe I could even pick it up from you on the 23rd. My daughter is getting married on the 21st so I was kind of hoping to have it here for when the whole family is in town, but that would be a bonus, not required. I'm little concerned about how you would be able to protect it. Would you be taking it in and out of the RV during your trip? Do you have any ideas how to insure it? Sorry to be so picky, I really do appreciate your interest. I have a bid in right now from a professional mover for 618 dollars which includes everything. I was hoping for around 300 as a target. What price are you thinking is fair? Thanks again. Karen (7/4/2007)
Response: Once I get it into the RV, it would stay inside the RV. I grew up in Tacoma/Spanaway, My in-laws live in Lacey. My parents live in Spanaway still. My sister works for Pierce County Sheriffs Dept as does her husband. Anyway, as far as insurance, I would personally insure it, I am adimant about care being taken with my belongings, and would take every precaution to protect it. I would photograph condition at pickup prior to packing. There is always a possiblilty that I could be there on the 22nd, but I can say for sure. The 23rd was our planned date, but if weather doesnt permit we could be there as soon as the 20th. I can hit your target price plus uship fees ($300+ uship fees) provided you can pick up in Lacey. I will be in lacey until around the 29th (7/4/2007)
Response: Sounds doable. I can't find any information on the site about uship fees. Can you estimate how much that will be? Go ahead and put a bid in for that full amount unless you have any other questions for me. Happy 4th of July! We'll be in touch. (7/4/2007)
Response: I have placed the bid, Mrfishaholic (7/4/2007)
