Question: it will be wrapped with a shipping blanket then tarped from the weather (11/27/2007)

Response: I'm not sure what you wanted from me with your last reply, but I had asked you about the "insurance available" listed in your ad?
By the way, if you intend to make your way to Freehold via the NJ turnpike, I might have a closer drop-off point for you (Hightstown exit).
Please get back to me about the insurance? (11/28/2007)

Response: the insurance is in the truck coverage (11/28/2007)

Question: which also has 1000000. coverage (11/29/2007)

Response: I'm waiting for a call back from my insurance agent on what type of document you'll need to provide as proof of insurance. The item's not really worth that much, but it belonged to our mother and is irreplaceable.
Please pardon my caution, but the last (and FIRST) time I used a shipper I found on the Internet, I ended up a victim in a federal criminal prosecution. I don't plan on having it happen again.
If you have any concerns about my questions, please let me know now. (11/30/2007)

Response: my cargo ins is with state farm, Gen. lia is with Moody valley ins. (12/2/2007)

Response: I understand from my insurance agent that a loss such as this would be limited (theft would be covered, but damage from shifting cargo wouldn't) and subject to the policy deductible.
As a non-shipper, and in my very simple shipping world, if I take a package to the post office and say I want it insured, they write a value down, I give them money, take the receipt and if my stuff gets wrecked, they pay me the value after I file the paperwork.
How would it work with your cargo and General liability insurance? Though it might break a uShip rule, I looked up your profile and don't understand how a business such as yours would have insurance to cover hauling furniture. Not that I care - I just want to ensure my chair gets to my sister intact.
Please elaborate if you would - these one sentence answers assume I know more than I do. (12/3/2007)

Response: not to be smart about this but what do you think the value is?? so when I talk to them I can give a figure of its value. (12/4/2007)

Response: I'd guess about $350, not counting it's sentimental value. (12/4/2007)

Response: under my home owners policies it will also cover it also. sorry to say but the sentimental value has no price (not to be mean) but between three different policies it will be covered and cared for. if you accept the bid then we can talk more indepth (12/4/2007)

Response: Thanks for the answers. I'll spend the night talking to my gut about whether I can live with the risk. I know it's just a chair, but it's a chair that's been in my family's home for the past 50 years. I'll give you a thumbs up or down Wed AM. (12/4/2007)

Response: thursday Ill head up to slc to pick up a mower then head back to gj to pick up a 1966 triumph then to denver sun evening to pick up some blades then to you, then to boone CO. then to NJ for all these (12/4/2007)
