Thanks roofman34.Report a Violation
Response: Roofman34, Will you be making this trip again sometime in the next few months? What do you think is a fair price for transport from Minneapolis to Seattle? My target is $800-$1000. Is that realistic? -Tom 12/12/2006Report a Violation

What is the delivery date that you are looking for? TY anderson Oak Grove,MnReport a Violation
Response: Ty, Is your truck a short-bed? I'm working with the dealer to ship it to Seattle night now. How far are you going? Have you moved a truck Camper before? I am in no rush to get it to Alaska. Just want it moved safely at a reasonable price. -Tom 12/10/2006Report a Violation

Question:
12/10/2006
Hi Tom, I noticed that I never said how far I was going, well all the way to Bellingham which is 80 miles north of Seattle. Yes I used to own a pickup camper and hauled it all over the west until my wife talked me into moving from the land of sunshine to the frozen lands of Mn. As for the camper on a long box I will check with a good friend at Hilltop Trailer Sales in Minneapolis. I believe the only difference would be that it sits back at the tail of the box, it would be tied down in the same mannner that an 8' model would be. He is one of the service managers there, or I could call the dealer you have in Elko tomorrow if you give me their name. I could also arrange for secure storage for you at the same place I store my 36' fifth wheel in Bellingham (Alger Mini Storage 360-733-5333 or 866-841-5430). TyReport a Violation
Response: Let me talk with my dealer first and see if they have arranged transportation. The camper will be going to a barge company in Seattle for shipment to Anchorage. How much does insurance cost on a $20,000 camper? What do you think would be a fair price? Will e-mail again after I talk with my dealer? -Tom 12/10/2006Report a Violation
Question:
12/11/2006
Hi Tom, I did some research on placing your camper on my size truck, Pleasureland Rv and North Country RV both said there would be no problem with this camper due to its light weight and that my truck is the 4 door super duty F350 I will need to purchase a Happijac camper anchor;a FTUT9 for a price of $250(retail is $329). It is the type that bolts to the frame and does not have to be bolted to the box or sheet metal of the truck. If we were to reach an agreement you might want this system, if you have a Ford. The added insurance is approx $200. Thusly I could move you camper to Seattle for a figure of $1650.00 Ty Anderson on Quay St.In Oak Grove,MNReport a Violation
Response: Ty, My dealer said that transpoting in a longbed is okay as well. But, I'm going to pass right now. Two reasons: First, I am waiting for the price from the dealer for using a backhaul that would otherwise be empty. Second, I would not want you to drill anything permanent into your vehicle....especially for a onetime move. Thank you for everything. I learned a bit. -Tom 12/11/2006Report a Violation
Question:
12/12/2006
Tom, Thank you for the response, so many shippers do not answer any questions at all. Also for the consideration of my truck, except that there would not be any drilling on my frame. The Fords come with the truck frame pre drilled and threaded for this type of anchor system,it mounts on the frame between the box and the rear of the cab. Best wishes and thanks for the considerstion. Ty AndersonReport a Violation
Question:
12/12/2006
yes i will be going that way within the next 30 days. i also have a 8ft box but should be ok. would also have to aquire holddowns for box. Would insure for full replacement cost. Check my feedbacks. thanks Roofman34.Report a Violation
Question:
