Additional Information: moving from approx. 750 square foot apartment on 10th floor in elevator building in Newark, NJ to 17th floor in elevator building in Dallas, TX. need full-service packing and pickup on May 9 or 10 or 11, with delivery in Dallas no more than 5 days after pickup. Bekins estimate says we have approx. 424 cubic feet of stuff, or 3,400 pounds, including one 32-inch plasma tv which doesn't have the original box, and including a king size bed. we also want full coverage insurance (not $.60/lb) up to $20,000. the street our building is on in Newark is fairly narrow. a full-sized Bekins truck would have required a "shuttle." so if your truck is huge please let me know and we'll have to plan that out. when i moved in to this building i pulled my 10-foot uhaul up to the curb and didn't have a huge problem. Questions for this shipment:

Question: my bid is in dates in may are open right know you can read my positive feed backs by clicking on my name I would haul your belongings in an enclosed trailer fully insured no extra cost to you thanks Jim (3/19/2009)
Response: can you do our move May 9, 10, or 11? delivery in TX to be a few days later. (4/13/2009)
Response: sorry I'll be in Alaska till the 15th of May Jim (4/13/2009)
Question: can you give me the complete list of your shipment including the box count please?we need to know what you have to move in order for us to put in a fair bid, thakns. (3/19/2009)
Response: I really have no clue. I mean, this is my home, and I don't move regularly, so it's kind of hard for me to estimate how many boxes, etc. Let's see, I have a king size bed, a small desk, a large couch, a small couch, two living room chairs, a coffee table, two end tables, two book shelves, a cd rack, a 42 inch flat screen tv, standard kitchen stuff (plates, bowls, silverware, small microwave, toaster), probably about 200 books and 200 cds/dvds, a floor lamp, 2 end table lamps, 4 wall mirrors, one floor mirror, a heavy drawer, a coffee maker, pots and pans, a fondue pot, a dvd player, some miscellaneous electronic wires and stuff, etc. I'm not sure if this helps you at all, but that's about the best I can do. Please let me know if any other questions. My apartment is about 800 square feet and it's fairly full, if that helps in your estimate. (3/19/2009)
Response: thank you for the quick response it helps a lot.when do you need to move? (3/19/2009)
Response: approx. May 22, 2009. (3/19/2009)
Response: ok thanks (3/19/2009)
Question: my new bid is in we will come to you and pack and load your belongings (with you providing the boxes) and deliver to your new home and unload everything and set up thanks Jim (3/19/2009)
Question: your asking for a bid request is this still to do everything before I bid also are you looking at the end of may because first of may till about 20th is full thanks Jim (4/2/2009)
Response: approx May 20 pick up might work. Ideally would like everything delivered approx May 25. Can you guarantee a date of delivery? And how quickly can it be delivered? FYI I had estimates done by Bekins and United and I have approx. 3200 pounds and 445 cubic feet of stuff. Bekins and United wouldn't do more than give me a 14-day range of possible delivery dates, which means I'm stuck in a hotel for up to 2 weeks, which I'm not interested in. Thanks again for everything. (4/2/2009)
Response: I could pick up by the 22nd and have you in TX in 3 days or less are we still packing boxes or are you doing it before I bid need to know that thanks Jim (4/2/2009)
Response: would prefer to have you do it, but depends on cost. what's the cost differential? my wife and i graduate on the 22nd so that day may be a little hairy. but the 21st or maybe the 23rd might work. do you have like a regular moving truck? i saw your pictures and it looks like an RV. will all our stuff fit in there (i sent you weight and cubic foot estimates previously)? thanks again! (4/2/2009)
Response: cost difference of about 800 I have an enclosed trailer not pictured on my profile yet it's 7x18 and all the stuff you have listed will fit thanks Jim (4/2/2009)
Question: can your shipment pick up around 14th of this month and delivered within 5 days? (4/2/2009)
Response: do you mean May? I'm not moving until May. (4/2/2009)
Response: ok thank you sorry about that i thought you were moving this month. (4/2/2009)
Question: We can express delivery for you please see answered question a day to load 2day driving a day to unload (4/2/2009)
Question: hey matt,, the sooner to except our bid, we can get you scheduled, thanks, bgs (4/2/2009)
Question: How many bedrooms? I am based in East Orange, NJ I am always moving people down South. Company is Turner's Express (4/3/2009)
Response: Sorry I didn't see your question sooner. It's a 1BR. According to Bekins estimate, approx. 3,400 pounds and 450 cubic feet. I want full-service packing and loading and everything. Including $20k of insurance and all boxes and packing materials (including whatever is needed to safely transport a 32-inch flat screen plasma tv without it's original box, and including furniture pads, etc.). Packing and pick-up date must be May 10 or May 11, and delivery in Dallas must be no later than May 16. Both pick-up and delivery are to apartment buildings with elevators. My Newark apartment is located on a very narrow, one-way street with no parking. Bekins said they'd have to use a shuttle. If you'd need to use one, please include cost in your bid. When I moved in to this apartment, I pulled my 10-foot U-Haul onto the curb. Probably illegal. Anyway, on pick-up day I'd like to catch a flight by 6 or 7pm so we'd need enough packers to get it all done by 4 or 5. Thanks. (4/15/2009)
Question: do you want me to place a formal bid Jim (4/5/2009)
Response: Did you say you were unable to do anything earlier in May? Spoke with my wife and we are thinking about moving down a little earlier, perhaps May 10 or 11 would be loading date. Would that work for you? Or is late May your only availability? Thanks, Matt (4/5/2009)
Response: I will be in Alaska till may 9th so late may works better for me do you want me to place formal bid Jim (4/5/2009)
Response: Don't place one yet. They expire fairly quickly, so I'd rather you place it once we finalize our dates and everything, rather than have to keep placing new bids all the time. Sorry for the confusion and hassle, we just haven't figured out exactly when we're moving, etc. yet. I'll let you know once we figure out the exact date we need to move. As long as dates work out, I anticipate accepting your bid. One other issue - the Bekins mover guy that came over to give a quote said that they'd need to get a "shuttle" to take things from our apartment building to the actual moving truck. This is because our building is on a fairly narrow street, without any legal parking on either side of street. When I moved in, I pulled my uHaul up onto the sidewalk and it wasn't much of a problem, though probably illegal. Do you think your setup could pull up over curb, or would we need shuttle or something? Thanks again. Matt (4/5/2009)
Response: if just loading not a problem but if we are doing all the packing we will have to park some where and pack everything then we will have to come in and load trailer thanks Jim (4/6/2009)
Question: ok, i made the changes in the profile, so if you can except bid now, we can get you schedule in, and get this done for you (4/13/2009)
Question: the changes are made, so you can except now, thanks, bgs (4/13/2009)
