Response: Yes, I'm okay with that. I'm not concerned how it gets here. Only that it gets here in the same condition as when it left NJ, with an extra 2800 miles on the ODO of course. Thanks for the response! Ben (1/21/2009)
Response: Your quite welcome. I'd like to know more about the truck. Will it have at least one spare tire? Are you flexible on pickup and delivery? What is your target price? How is the truck overall mechanical condition as I do not pay for repairs. (1/21/2009)
Response: + Spare tire - yes + I'm flexible on pickup and delivery + I'd like to get a detailed proposal from you first before we finalize on price. I'd like to think I'm a reasonable person and would compensate fairly. + Mechanical condition is great. We have a complete photo record and inspection record of the vehicle in its current condition. I understand you don't pay for repairs but do you have insurance? Is there some form of guarantee that the truck will arrive in relatively the same condition as when it left? I can probably notify our insurance of this delivery and have them cover anything. Thanks, Ben (1/21/2009)
Response: That is fine. I also would like to let you know my Geico policy covers it up to $50,000 unless you have insurance on it then my insurance would act as a secondary policy on it. Also I can assure you from my own mouth and my customers of past shipments that I will do everything possible to insure there is no damage incurred while in my possession and my past shipment should attest to that fact. Also I understand you know the amount of driving and such required and will compensate so I ask you this and I'm being totally understanding and willing to say "OK" to the price you throw out, but I'd like to know what is a price you could look at when I bid and say " I can live with that price, its a fair price" Keeping in mind my bid is all inclusive, which includes the fuel required to drive it to you. And to be honest I was quite surprised at your response. I would like to deal with you more because of the laid back, understanding position you presented to me. Question: Hello Ben,we see you need this truck moved from Parsippany to San Francisco. We would love the oportunity to do this job for you. We want to be fair to you and offer a fair price that we just have. Of course we will drive this truck to the destination, and I promise you, it will get there in the same condition it left Parsippany. The only difference is she will have around 3,000 extra miles on her. I understand safety and the end delivery condition is the major concern for any job. I have thousands of hours on the road with just such a vehicle. I worked for a retail home appliance store for about two years delivering in this type truck. Also I am fully insured and ready to roll. We have a well cared for 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 which would escort your truck the entire way. Any problems, God forbid (mechanical) we have a way of getting help. We DO NOT ABANDON Vehicles with mechanical problems. We will be in constant communication the entire trip. Question: Additional info:Hey Ben, don't be fooled by others who have underbid me. Unlike others it will not take 21 days to pick up your truck. And it will more than likely 8 days to pick up and be less than 8 days to deliver this to San Francisco. Time is money for most people in this business. I would assume this holds true for your business also? As I mentioned, SAFETY is extremly important to me. All speed limits will be observed and fluid and air levels will be checked daily in the truck. So please consider my recent lower bid. Thanks you once again. Todd and Heather (1/22/2009)
