Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello, is someone going to be available to unload? Good Day. (3/26/2008)
Response: Hi. There is nothing to unload from my end. I want someone to come pick up the old shingles that I removed from an old home off the ground, load them up into their trailer/truck, and haul them off to the dump of their choice. The price would have to cover all of this. Thanks! (3/26/2008)
Response: Thanks, I may have to go to Astoria, IL. next week. I will make a bid in a few days, if pickup is possible. Good day. (3/26/2008)
Response: Thanks! I hope to hear from you soon. (3/26/2008)
Response: Hello, can you tell me how long it will take to load everything? (3/31/2008)
Response: I really don't know. There is a LOT there... a good dumpster size full. I think with a couple people, you might be able to make it a 1 day project... if you start early and end late. If you have a bobcat, it will prolly take no more than a couple hours. You are welcome to go out there and look to see what you think. I'm looking to move on this soon however. So if you want an address, let me know. Thanks! (3/31/2008)
Response: Hello, I don't have a bobcat. It will have to be loaded by hand. Vehicle 24' with Lift Gate. I can't take a look, I am in Minnesota. Good day. (3/31/2008)
Response: Well, it is a 2300 square foot building (on one level) and the pitch is pretty good... here are some pictures of the roof... perhaps that will help give you an idea of how much I pulled off of it. It was 1 layer of asphalt shingles and 1 layer of wood shakes. I would think you could get it all in your truck if it is high enough. If you don't think you'll have room, you don't have to take the shakes... I've burned a lot of them. But they are attached in chunks to the asphalt shingles. Here are some pictures of the building w/ shingles on ground but unfortunately you can't see the majority of them which are on the side of the building. I'd say there is 3 times the amount seen in the second picture. I'll email you a link if you send me your email address to pics. (3/31/2008)
Response: I'm sorry, I can't send you the address prior to acceptance of the bid. (3/31/2008)
Response: Oh... ok. Sorry I didn't know that. (3/31/2008)
Response: Hello, the Landfill will charge me around $400.00 to dispose 10 tons of shingles. Total price will be around $1000.00. The price can be reduced if less than 8 hours of work and if less than 10 tons. (3/31/2008)
Response: Hi. Thanks so much for your interest. Sorry that doesn't fit my budget but i do understand the cost. Looks like i'm going to rent a dumpster and put my family to shovelin'. Thanks! (3/31/2008)
Response: Good day. (3/31/2008)
Question: Howdy,I've been in the roofing business for 30 years. Therefore I have a couple of questions. Are the shingles in tall grass and brush or is the surface mown? My other question is how close can I get in there with my truck and trailer? A picture here would be worth a 1,000 words.I'm over here in Mo. and will need 7 days leeway after you accept my bid which I will place after I hear back from you. Please check out my profile for feedback and pictures.Thank You. Mike :) 1Mind1Spirit (3/26/2008)
Response: you can get up to 20 feet away for the further and closer for the rest with truck and trailer. This will be a tough job. 1/2 of the shingles are in a ditch so that will be the hard part and are not as accessible as the others. (3/26/2008)
Response: I checked with closest landfill which is about 40 miles away and it will cost approx. 40 dollars a ton to unload em there.28 SQUARES of asphalt shingles is about 7,000 pounds or 3 1/2 tons.Plus 28 squares of wood shingles is another 5,000 at least or 2 1/2 tons.Lookin' at 300 dollars at dump plus hauling them 40 miles. I'm 200 miles away I can get er done for around 1300 dollars. (3/31/2008)
Response: oh boy i'm sorry the highest i can go is 600 but thank you for your interest. (3/31/2008)
Question: Hello, our price $656.00 plus disposal fee. Total price will be reduced if takes less than 8 hours to load/unload. Good day. (3/31/2008)
Response: How much is disposal? How about $600 total and this would have to include everything including disposal. (3/31/2008)
Response: Maybe, I will contact you later today. (3/31/2008)
Response: OK. Thank you for your interest. (3/31/2008)
Response: Hello, can you tell me an estimate on the total weight? (3/31/2008)
Response: Probably no more than 10 tons. (3/31/2008)
